This was a great video - thanks! So many ideas for when me and my husband visit from the UK next March. We tried Catrin last time we visited - my husband won't ever forget the short rib tacos - and we can't wait to check out more of the Gastronomic District...
Thank you. I am glad it was helpful.
El Catrin was wonderful!
Very nice video!
Thank you! Cheers!
Monty,
Dang. Watching this video caused me to have FOMO!
I'll have to put that on My Merida bucket list.
Thank You.👍👍
You should!
I recently found your channel and have been watching your Merida videos. We love Mexico! We have 50 previous land based trips to Mexico (not counting cruise port stops). Mostly Cancun, Riviera Maya and now our favorite place Isla Mujeres. Our 51st trip will begin late February with our first ever trip to Merida. We will do 6 nights in Merida and 3 nights in Sisal. We arrive at CUN at 1:50 p.m. My initial planning was an ADO ride from CUN to Merida. But, I learned about Tren Maya and hope to do that. But, for now it appears there are only 7:00am and 11:00am departures from CUN on towards Merida. Maybe things will change by February. Again, I appreciate your informative tours in and around Merida.
Wow! You really love Mexico. 🇲🇽. By February I think you will see more regular scheduled routers for this section. I would hold out till close to your time to come. After all, the entire system is supposed to be operational by the 29th of February.
Dios mío, que rico!!!

Please add pricing to drinks and food for reference and idea to viewers. Thank you!
Noted! Google typically has menus and pricing range. The passport was one price and each meal was a fixed tapa so no additional cost.
Hi do you know how it is going to cost for prescription sunglasses if i bring my frame. Thks
I’ve had lenses out into glasses before. I can’t tell you the cost as it will vary where you go and what you get.
Consider yourself lucky to have sampled robalo ( snook) sushi. Only other place I know of to get it is Yakamoto in Cancun city.
It was the best sushi I’ve ever had. I don’t eat fish. But I enjoyed this.
@@Mexitplans Salud from Atlanta. I'll be in Merida in two days and plan on checking your recommendations out. Looking forward!
@@Feralyank I’m in Atlanta now. Headed back tomorrow.
If I see you, I'll holler
@@Feralyank Please do. It always makes my day!
Wandered thru the Gastronomic district last night on my way to/from Parque La Plancha. They’ve done an incredible job building and looking like there’s more to come. Didn’t stop at the restaurants, still intimidated by my lack of Spanish.😆 Great video Monte. Thank you. 👍🏾
Thank you! I can't wait to try the new ones that will be in the gastronomic district. I also want to try the booths at the Parque La Plancha.
@@Mexitplans I tried “La Bianca” pizza. It was a huge slice, pretty good. Those giant fans really move the air around well. It was hot outside but nice in there. Still a lot of empty booths.
@@actionvj thanks. I’ll give it a try
Most successful restaurants have bilingual menus or a waiter or 2 that speak enough English to get what you want. My Spanish sux and I've never had a problem. Buena suerte.
Looks fantastic! We were able to attend the festival last November during our first trip to Mérida.
@@Mexitplans I emailed you a few pics from last November’s event.
Thank you. For sending me this. I was told this was the first one. Where was I last year?
thank you brother. my wife and i will definitely check out those spots in a couple of months.
My pleasure.
I had the pleasure of eating Micaela and sat where you were. It is one of the best restaurants in Merida 👍🏽
I agree the food is great.
We went to PiensaenRosa yesterday, I ordered a Don Goyo, it’s a 40 cm (kinda) taco with grilled cheese instead of tortilla and it was very good 😊 also the orange mezcalita was good. I’ll try all of these restaurants eventually 😋
I will have to try that. I felt like they put the least effort into the taste of yucatan with the bruschetta and drink. So it was last of all of my restaurant experience. However, the owner seemed very nice and I will give this taco a try.
Very nice❗️
Thank you! Cheers!
