I absolutely agree! 💓 Everyone should visit Mexico (and not just the resorts) at least once in their life! The country altogether has so much to offer. 😍
We really appreciate the kind words- THANK YOU! 🥰 This specific video took triple the amount of time to edit, just because it was so big, so it so wonderful to hear that you recognize the detail and the time put into making it hahaha. 😁 You've certainly made our day! 💕
Same, same, same! 💗 It's a city I want to return to every decade or so, just to experience the lively ambiance and stunning natural scenery. 😁 Merida Mastermind Retreat, perhaps? Hahaha
Thanks for explaining the history of Cenotes in Central America. The three Cenotes were very unique from one another. Merida, Mexico is a very good city for the adventure seekers among us to visit.
Guys, 💑Thanks for the fun video from Mexico. I love your channel and your adventure. Love some amazing cenotes! My son was in Merida, Mexico and did the cenotes! I really joy good Mexican food.🥙🥙🍨🍨 Stay safe and happy travels. Cheers 🧉🧉🤠
I've gotta say, I always look forward to your comments, because you use the best emojis hahaha. It's always so fun to read! 😁 We LOVE cenotes so much- how cool would it be to have one in our backyard hahaha. Totally a pipe dream! 🤣
Thank you for such a wonderful tour of Merida!!! My family is traveling to Merida for a month this summer and I am so excited (especially after watching your video!). Would you mind sharing how much you spent on your car rental and for how many days you had the car? Also, Claire, the colorful dress you wore to the dentist... I LOVE it!!! Would you mind sharing what brand it is? Thank you again for for this wonderful video!
Hello Chad and Claire. We visited Chichen Itza in the 80’s ( I’m showing my age ). It was nice to see the picture and I can’t believe I actually climbed to the top, coming down was more difficult, I came down one step at a time on my butt 😊. Enjoyed your video as always. 🇨🇦
WHOA! I didn't know you could climb Chichen Itza in the 80s! 🤯 I'm sure that was a very memorable experience haha, one that I'm sure very few people these days can attest to! 👏When we went in 2019, no one was allowed to climb anything, BUT the grounds were still pretty much all open for exploration! 😁 As always, thank you so much for watching! We love hearing about your own travel stories as well! 💗
are you guys having fun in mexico? you seem a lot happier. not just acting happier, you look happier... Mexicans have a great culture, and they love to be colorful, and have great music, this video didn't have as much of that, but maybe you're trying to recover from the drunk boat last vid lolz. I like the little explanation bits... the cenotes are really fascinating... they are a lot like caves, and there are a bunch of connected cenotes. You didn't show swimming from one cenote to another one, so Im just letting you know theres probably a place to do that. You spend more time showing activities, and thats great, but don't forget to do a nice long swim shot, just to really use the camera to share how relaxing the place is. You cant run up on the camera screaming "THIS PLACE IS SO RELAXING OMG" You can just show us by showing chad swim from one side of the cenote to the other. scratch that, Claire is cuter so we want to see claire swim across the cenote. Im not a foodie, but Im starting to really enjoy your vids. If there is a major attraction like ruins, it do help us when you say "THe biggest attraction to this are is the ruins, and we saw them, otherwise we are going to be wondering the entire video... hey, why didn't they go see the mayan temples??? This mexico trip is one of my favorite trips from you guys
We had the TIME OF OUR LIVES in Mexico! 💗 We've gotten into a really great rhythm with traveling, spending time with our dogs, making the space to catch up with good friends, and taking time for ourselves, and I think all of that is what's bringing a brighter light to our eyes. It's so cool that you're able to see it and tell us, because we definitely have been feeling so much happier and more fulfilled in the recent months! 🥰 We're so glad you've enjoyed our Mexico trip so far- there's one last video coming next week, and then, we're off to another country! 😁
Thank you so much! 🥰 We really appreciate your support towards our travel videos! Chad would also like to say an extra "thank you" for the compliment on his photo hahaha 🤣
I've been to Central America & trés leches is delightful! I had chocolaté y churros in Spain & I was so stuffed! Unfortunately, the ONLY dessert was flan. It got a bit boring... I am so glad you enjoyed Mexico. My DIL is from Morelia in the western part. Cannot eat to see The Netherlands & Germany.
Hi I'm from Merida, born and raised. It is the safest city in Mexico and it is in the top 40 safest cities in the world too. As you know even the safest of places can be dangerous if you get in bad spots of town but mostly it is super safe, drug related shootings or homicides are extremely uncommon, if you're not in the sketchy parts of the city you'll feel safe even late at night. The northern part of the city is the safest since it is where the higher income population lives so nice houses, restaurants, malls and buildings. Downtown or "centro" is the touristic area and it can be pretty crowded but it is mostly safe too, I'd say if you go to the centro just be careful with your belongings but overall you should be fine. Regarding transportation taxis are usually safe but a lot of people use uber too. Mérida is a beautiful, fast growing city with a nice mix of modernity and culture, people are warm and inviting so you should have no trouble during your stay!! I'm happy to help if you'd like to know anything else about Mérida
Hi, i am wondering how's your experience about rental cars or driving in general there?I've heard some bad stories about corrupted cops pulling over cars asking money. A bit nervous but I really want to have a car driving around there.
Nope, you didn't miss anything! We still have our house, our adopted dogs, BUT Chad does NOT have that job at Whole Foods anymore haha. He left Whole Foods at the beginning of the year to jump back into the Chad and Claire business more! Our trips are actually much faster than before (2 weeks max.)- we don't edit the videos while on the road anymore. We have a proper desk setup at our home where I now edit all our travel videos from (huge lifesaver for my back and posture haha), and this also allows us to spend most of our year with our dogs! 🤍 In case you missed it, we do have another adopted pup, so Gretel has a little brother! 😁 If you ever want to get the scoop on ALL the behind-the-scenes info, you can join our free monthly newsletter, which you can unsubscribe from at anytime, if you're no longer interested! Wondering what they charged you for your dental visit?
probably about 1/70 of what they charge in the USA
About 40 dollars each
We were charged $50 per person! Extremely affordable and convenient. Highly recommend! 😁
@@davidanalyst671 You're correct! Hahaha
@@ivansanchez8458 Just about! It was $50 per person, and we were SO pleased with the price! 😁
I'm taking my wife there mainly for dental work. How safe is it?
