    I honestly had always treated Analog Lab like a toy but I recently purchased the Arturia Keylab MKII controller and I have to say, it's pretty dang good. The one thing that sucks about it is you don't get to fully tweak the instruments, Arturia wants you to buy them separately for $100+ per instrument or you can buy _V Collection X for $500. Honestly, it might be worth the money. The instruments and presets are all very good. My personal favorites are the DX7(Yamaha), Mini (Moog) and the Stage73 (Rhodes) and the solo leads category is very nice. Honorable mention to Piano V which surprised me. Plus, you don't have to do all of the clicking with the mouse if you have the Keylab controller, it's all built in and premapped....this is solid software

    Ignore the Omnisphere fan boys, bringing alternatives to the table at a severely reduced price is always good sauce for some people. Omnisphere is a great product but at the price it is out of the reach of many. 🎵🎶🎹

    Now I know who was the pusherman in the movie cocaine bear. To even consider that this vst can compare to Omnisphere which is far superior as a synthesizer lets me know that you indulged in your own supply before supplying the bear.

      I second this omnisphere is still number 1 even in 2023.. the synth engine alone is worth it.. the effects and the ability to add your own one shots.. ppl need to stop being such a preset junkie... yes having pre made sounds are good to have but if you take the time to learn just one synth.. it will change your life

      For me its a close thing with omnisphere and falcon 2.8. Got both and they are both incredible in their own ways. The expansions for falcon are completely out there. If your a preset junkie omnispheres the place to be. Oh and ive got labs V also, great sounds but limited editing to say the least, it is pretty much a preset machine with no deep diving.

    Hello,
    i been using Arturia Collection for a long time, but i notice that since V 7, Favorites are not working for me.
    I think when they introduced V 6, they chance the interface and stuff, and to have a preset as favorite, all you needed to do was to click on the little heart icon, and that was it.
    Now i click on it, but it doesn't work. Whenever i make another selection inside the VST, that mark is gone.
    Same is happening to me with Playlists, i create a new one, but it doesn't show up, or makes a dumb one that doesn't work, i.e. i create a Playlist called "Favorites" and instead of giving that name it makes a list with this name: 0-
    I thought well i will use that, but once i try to use it, is gone. Can't add presets in there either.
    So, what's going on in there? Do i have a messed up installation? or is there a bug in there?

    It’s not worth uninstalling Omnisphere but I do find myself using it less in favor of Analog Lab

  • @akibe7608
    @akibe7608 11 місяців тому

    I hate click-bait titles. I don't doubt Analog Lab is great, but nothing that can be compared to Omnisphere is going to make it obsolete. I'm not saying that won't happen in the future, but no one yet has the ability or the desire to exceed Omnisphere to the degree that many will stop seeing it as the standard.

    • @SimulationBeats
      @SimulationBeats  11 місяців тому +2

      I really don’t think this is clickbait in the slightest. This whole video was to show off analog lab and how its now MY go to synth, over Omnisphere. And not to mention there are many other people in this comment section that feel the same way. I never said that no one should ever use Omnisphere again and only use analog lab, just one mans opinion on what’s best for him.

  • @Terje-gv7zf
    @Terje-gv7zf 9 місяців тому +1

    Think you should do redo this video. To claim it is better than omisphere just seem lame (for most people experienced with both) and you do not want to appear lame do you? Perhaps the title of your video and the video itself will make some people use hard earned cash to spend them on Analog Lab instead of omnisphere and that is just mean man!
    The possibilities with omnisphere compares to a great universe while Analog Lab just one solar system. Although the solar system is great by itself, (I do agree that Analog Lab is GREAT), but extreeeeeeeemely limited compared to omnis.

    • @SimulationBeats
      @SimulationBeats  9 місяців тому

      Well hey first, full credit to you for typing out a full thesis on a YT video. However I really don’t think anything here is misleading. I myself have both and massively prefer Analog Lab V to most other vsts. Maybe that makes you a better sound engineer and producer than me idk 🤷‍♂️ it doesn’t really matter. I actually made a full follow up video, for comments such as yours, if you’d like to give that a watch. Don’t mistake your own preference for fact. We’re all different with our own opinions

    • @Terje-gv7zf
      @Terje-gv7zf 9 місяців тому +1

      Omnisphere has been voted the top synth for several consecutive years now - in different polls. Analog Lab never mentioned at all. I DO love Analog Lab. I think it is great for its own purpose, but close to the world of omnisphere it is not, and it seem that the majority agrees with that.@@SimulationBeats

    Do producers today know the difference between a synthesizer and a preset? I know synths today come with hundreds of presets and most producers nowadays do nothing but paint by numbers with said presets but for most real producers, dialing in a bunch presets without at least doing something to them to make them your own is considered to be pretty lame.
