We finally get our Falcon Full Floor Pan in and are impressed with what we see in our Review of the Product from Auto Krafters. This floor will fit any 1960 1961 1962 1963 1964 1965 Falcon.

It’s great to see the whole product and get an honest review. This would be soooo much easier than separate patch panels. Keep up the good work.
I feel blessed that I found this channel. I could be working on a 64 fairlane. First project car. This is so easy to follow. Thank you
Glad to help!
These seem amazing.
Looks like a great piece! You'll get to 100k.... Let's do it!
Looking forward to seeing this go in. Got to do floorplans and toe boards in my 67 Mustang. I am going to patch mine in because I want to preserve as much original metal as possible.
We would too normally, but we only have about a two by three foo section of the tunnel that qualifies...😀
I purchased the exact same panel for my 61 Futura. It did require some mods but not only easier but far more structurally sound. I reinforced mine at the torque box extensions just for extra stability. Then installed a trans mount across the structure. Since this is a 351w, AOD, and posi I was looking for any beef up I could get.
However, I should have beefed up the inside rockers and with that additional L brackets maybe .080 material.
Other mods were installing metal to remove the ash tray and radio, upper dash section ridding the speaker grate and defroster, moving the ignition key to the right side of the steering wheel, gas cap weld up, and tail light buckets welded in with the right side as a gas filler door.
With all that going on the entire floor panel was the best part.....
That sounds awesome!
Hi I just found your series and not only enjoy it I think I need it because I just picked up a 1963 Ford Falcon Ranchero 4 × 4, the chassis is 1971 Bronco and it has a 351 Windsor with three on the floor. Unfortunately I think I'm in for a little more than I was bargaining for I was told that ran great had no issues and had no rust. The auto transport finally showed up four days late and the first words out of the driver's mouth were, your car is inoperable. After washing it off the trailer and pushing up into the driveway the driver disappeared faster than Bud light's reputation. While waiting for the shipping company to decide what they're going to do about this I decided I'd clean up The Ranchero to keep busy, the undercarriage cleaned up nicely but now I found the cancer that the seller said it didn't have. The frames fine it's just the floor pan of the Ranchero is shot. The seller must have took a photography class because he hid that rust like a transgender athlete hides his junk before stealing the glory of a women's sports competition. I, like the true ladies at the competition, have been cheated. But I fell in love with this and though it's going to cost me more than I ever wanted me to I need to see this through, she's such a and I doubt very much I'll come across another one in my neighborhood. So thanks for putting out the series I got a feeling I'm going to need it. If I knew how I would send a couple pictures to show you what I'm talking about
Great review nice floor pan
Thanks!
Just pulled my carpet on my 65 and its not bad enough to warrant doing the whole floor... That being said, More of this project please. Interested in seeing how you opt t cut it to get it in the vehicle.
Nice panel
I've been hoping the Ranchero would come to the top of the list. Installing this pan in my Ranchero has been a fear of mine! I'm looking forward to see how you make it happen. I need the help....... Thanks Jeff!
Phil Miller not to worry, a grinder, Seam sealer, sound deadener and some carpet!!! All of your sins will be hidden 😂😜
Nice lookin piece
The little brace on the passenger side is where the seat track assist spring attaches to the body.
Thanks!
Awesome. I’ve seen a couple folks put them in on the fb falcon pages. I’d get one myself but my 2 door is not stock so I’d do better to make my own.
Great point about saving weld time. I replaced the front sections in my 71 camaro and the time spent fitting, welding, and grinding was crazy. I told myself I’d be doing full floor pans from here on out!
I’m interested in seeing the installation of this because I have a rust bucket 77 nova that will need full pans. I’m wondering if you have to go about installation differently when the pan has braces installed. I saw how you guys fit a floor pan through the door of the mustang. It seems like that might be more difficult with braces.
Yeah, it would. One viewer took his in through the bottom of the car. Each one is going to be a little different.
RestoCar i did some sections on a 67 mustang (watched one of Jeff’s videos for guidance) and I thought Jesus was going to come back before I got done welding. 🙄😂
Interested and looking forward to seeing how this works for you guys. I’m not seeing the transmission mounting ears from this angle yet, but hopeful this might help with my ex-drag car ‘64 Futura convertible. They got a little excited weight reducing the tunnel area when fitting the new shifter...
‘cause race car ;-)
The trans mount bolts to a brace that runs from the two frame horns. That isn't being produced yet. You'll see what I am talking about when we get the floor out.
Looking at the mess that is the original, that full floorpan is a no-brainer!
Looks like a great piece. For my
62 Falcon I got some cheap Mustang pans and had a local fabricator guy patch them in. It’s strong, but it’s also ugly when looking under the car.
What transmission are y’all going with, and will you have to modify that tunnel?
For now we are going with the trusty three on the tree "Bindomanual". I told the boy, "If you learn to drive that, you can drive anything with wheels short of a 1944 duce and a half.
Do they make a full 62 falcon sedan floor pan? My floor is gone... front and back.
Do you have to put toe boards in before you put the full floor pan in on a 61 Ford falcon two door
Welding Jeff...welding!! Oh oh...have the kid do it. What.a.learning.opportunity!!
Yep, a nice Guinness in a cold glass, a lawn chair and some good tunes and watch as the boy gets slagged and learns to use words that his mother wouldn't approve of.
Nice piece. I [ would | will ] be interested in how you brace the rest of the passenger compartment when you cut, what is left of, the old floor pan out. 2x4s and zip ties? Ratchet straps?
Bracing looks soild...if it hadn't been I would have tipped it over and found another car.
I did not communicate my question clearly. The new pan is very nicely braced, agreed. I want to see how you brace _the rest of the passenger compartment_ while the old floor is out and the new floor goes in. :)
I would, personally, like to see how you replace the whole floor board; where you cut, where you place the temporary bracing, how you adopt it to what you have. Thank you.
It is coming.
Have fun with it
Fun...luckily I like puzzles!
Great videos, I just got a 64 Ranchero, rust, rust, everywhere, some better, some worse than yours! I'm thinking real seriously about getting a car rotisserie. (I dont bend like I used to) I still haven't decided yet if I will do the full floor pan or not. I probably should, the mechanics box especially is pretty well gone. Just a question, for $550, why cant Auto Krafters include the Tow Boards? I know, not your deal, just venting. Is there anything you would do different if you had it on a rotisserie? Keep up the good work, your videos are so helpful, I am going to be doing the same thing shortly. Btw, if you could post all the Ranchero videos together, on one playlist, that would be helpful. Until next time, keep on keepin on, BA
Great idea on the Ranchero play list.
Do you know if the full floor pan can be modified to fit the Falcon convertible?
Honestly no, I don't. I'd really look at both your car and pictures of the new pan. compare lines etc.
I'm about to replace the toe board and full floor pan in my 69 Ranchero. I have the toe board and the pan should be here any day. It looks to me like I have to replace the floor pan first then the toe board, not the other way around. The toe board overlaps the pan by an inch or so on my 69.
On our '69 Fairlane wagon the toe boards are under the floor pan. Ours even has a lip facing down on the toe board so the floor can't be put in that way.
@@AutoRestoMod mine sure looks like it's the other way but it's got a ton of seam sealer all over it. Maybe it was worked on before. I'll post a vid once my new pan arrives. Bought the pan and toe board from AMD. It's actually the Fairlane pan I'll have to cut the back off. I could not find a pan for the 69 Ranchero.
Jeff was correct. I was wrong. Here's a look at it. ua-cam.com/video/vpFC-mn1hCg/v-deo.html
The difficulty I am having with that supplier is they don't necessarily offer partial floor panels and many other suppliers do, its like they are putting you in a position that if you want that quality you have to buy a full pan. And you can't tell the quality for sure until its in your hands much less compare since you would need to order and then return from varying suppliers. It varies but to some degree its always a crap shoot.
I agree they are good quality BUT you are looking at multiple times the cost for the part if you have to purchase a full pan as opposed to 2 partial pans knowing you can fairly accurately calculate the total amount of welding needed plus I would suggest there are going to be more times a partial pan(s) will repair all the necessary areas and why would you want to remove perfectly good metal?
Well, I agree that there are times that a set of pans do better, that is why I talk about weighing the need. In this case, a full pan makes sense. And a lot of the sheet metal suppliers (there are only really two suppliers for Falcon floor pans. There is only one doing the full pan), meaning all cars, are going to the model of making the full panel be that fenders, floors and quarters rather than sections. The manufacturer makes more money, (cutting them up or building individual dies for sections is expensive due to the amount of dies that have to be made) have less stock to contend with, and it all looks good on paper. However, it isn't so great in real life. For instance, we need a battery tray area for the '65 Ranchero. Many people with Falcons do too. BUT the company is not yet selling that battery tray area (the part many, many people need), choosing instead to sell the WHOLE section from core support to firewall...worst, it is all spotted in AT THE FACTORY. so the battery tray area COULD be sold as a separate unit. Of course then they would not sell nearly as many apron sections...
Pretty
Any idea if this will fit the 1964 Mercury Comet??? I just bought one for my channel. I haven’t started working on it yet. But it’s coming!!!!
My only concern on the Comet is at the back behind the seat pan.
Autorestomod Manic Mechanic Gasoline Media I’m not opposed to a little fab work. I’ll need to give the boys at Auto Krafters a ringy dingy. That’s a high quality item you have there Clark, you if you don’t mind me asking, how much did it set ya back?!?
I am a subscriber. Why did this not show up in my inbox? It showed in my recommendations only.
ralph sampson You may have to click on the bell and select All. It defaults to Personalized, in which case UA-cam decides if you get an alert.
What RestoCar said.
Please show as much of the install as possible, Expecialy bracing the car to keep the structure. Thanks
We will.
@@AutoRestoMod Can't wait. Thanks for sharing.
What about the Cross member in the fool Pan
I'm not sure that Dynacorn has done the cross member yet. Ours was in really good shape so I wasn't that worried about it.
It's like porn for people that love ford falcons esp the Ranchero folks! Love it! I can't wait for the next episode! I'll be working on my '64 in 2 days!! I'm Excited to see what I got to work with, it's been 22 years since I mothballed it! So far I got an IFS + Rack and Pinion! Next up is the floor pans and the Rust removal lol.
Yes but lucky for all of you, I keep my clothes on....and stopped using '70s porn music. 🤣🤣🤣
You gonna have to remove any glass or a door to get it in?
Worse...the back wall.
@@AutoRestoMod Yikes!
On my next restoration I will definitely be ordering floor pans from that company. Here is some eye candy from the last 64 Ford falcon that I restored.

This car has taken best interior people's choice five times now and has been mentioned and Ford falcon magazine.
So...I'm guessing you are an Alabama fan...cool little Ranchero.
I wonder if theres a full floor pan for a Starliner?
I wish that there was someone who's a Ford expert? 😉
I wish someone made the sheet metal patch panels I need for my '56 fairlane.
There is one...and because of you I almost bought a Starliner...
@@AutoRestoMod you should have!....
cause trust you me if I ever.....ever get the money....
