Just started my Rancheros, thank you for the insightful videos. I have one I'm doing and another at a shop, I suggested the full floor to the fellow at the shop and he asked me how to get it in. Now I know what to tell him. Thanks
...You guys are so close!!! I've had very little progress, the pans haven't come in for me yet. I'm going to go ahead and cut out the floors in preparation for when they do come in on my Ranchero...
Perfect timing. Got my partial passenger floorpan in without issue but the driver side is giving me fits. Not sure why I did not think about the sheet metal screws to help make things fit. Have also learned to not be afraid to use a hammer.....
It's all coming together nicely. Now would be a Great time to install the mini tubs, I'm sure Logan's gonna want some bigger tires and wheels, right? Looks Great! another fine video!
@@AutoRestoMod That'll work! I appreciate all the information you guys pass along. I can't begin to Thank You enough for the wear and tear you've saved me on the Ranchero floor pan and I'm sure the mini tubs will be no different........ Sorry Logan, I tried.
It would seem to be an advantage at the weld in phase to have media blasted it in the beginning, nice clean surfaces to weld to are easier. Is you tetanus up to date?

Jeff, nice job on making the cleaning bit!
Thanks 👍 I used my dremel bench sander and it turned out great.
Great tip with the strap! Keep it up!
Thanks! 👍

Great video...good luck with the welding...say hi to everybody and I'm saving these videos in case I have to do this
PEACE LOVE AND STARLINERS!
Starliners ROCK!
I have a 60 Ranchero where did you get the complete pan, an how many inches did you cut the rear panel? Thanks
Can you use a plasma cutter to cut the floor insert?
I won't cut the new floor. At that point I'd just get floor pans and stick them in.
Did I miss something? No mention of prepping the weld area before welding?
Previous video.
Is it possible to do a convertible one piece floor board???
Easiest one to do. But you will have to get all of the other Associated parts like the support pieces that go for a convertible.
Nicely done
Thanks!
How do you fill/what method do you use to fill the holes left by the self tappers? Slowly fill via mig?
Yes we MIG the holes. They are small and you might have to go under a bit, BUT it is a quick fix.

Yes. And yes.
Who did you get the floor pan from?
www.autokrafters.com
Wheres Cam.?. Is he still on your show?
Yes. He is not on Manic Mechanic much. I'm having Logan (who the Ranchero belongs to) do most of the assisting here.
You need to wear a long sleeve shirt when welding mate, you get the same sunburn i get on my biceps from doing the same...LOL
Good call!
where is CAM!!!
Cam is our co-host on Autorestomod, he does occasionally pop over here to Manic Mechanic.
That thumbnail lol!!
