At the Invisible Children benefit concert at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, Causecast asks participating musicians for the changes they would like to see in the world. Aaron Weiss from mewithoutYou responds.
Have something to say? SAY IT!! Shoot and upload your own video to www.causecast.org and tell us. The people have spoken: these are the changes we would like to see!
Wow.... needed this. At the end of the day God knows what is good and what is bad. He knows why things happen
People tease about his demeanor, but what you are witnessing in Aaron is a beautiful thing: a truly independent mind and spirit, unique to this world. This world needs more Aaron Weiss’
Weisses :)
Aaron looks different every time I see him
Saw Aaron play w/ MWY on June 27th at the Dallas TX Prophet B. A fan jumped up on stage and started singing with him and Aaron kissed his cheek in all the love of his heart. He has a girlfriend now by the way! I never checked up on if they're married or anything but I know they worship together which is a definite praise report. Aaron, and really this whole group of guys, have been a huge encouragement of mine since as early as high school. They symbolize hope for me. The kind of hope that shows me that man can honestly hunger for growth (internal and external) and find it. They fittingly wear who I hope to look a least a little more like every day... Christ. All this to say, their internal change is already affecting my life as well as all the lives I touch. Incredibly a chain of love or a chain of change. You're all in my prayers and are all a part of the pre-amswer!
I meant *pre-answer* at the end there--my apologies! (:
Aaron is my supervisor for my research in college, he is in fact married and happily with his children ❤️ he is an awesome human being
Oh my god man. This is amazing. The way aaron expresses his vocabulary almost distinctly reminds me of the professional skateboarder Rodney Mullen. Absolutely amazing video
Two great musicians sitting next to each other.
I used this horse story in a kids' talk at my church.
I talked about how, at first glance, the son breaking his leg sounds like a bad thing. But there's a bigger picture, and things work out for the better. If the son had gone to war, he could have been injured or killed.
Good things and bad things will happen in our lives, and we shouldn't throw our hands up and shout 'WHY, GOD!'. Because God always loves us, and we should always trust in Him.
still one of my favourite videos....such a simple concept with such a great truth and effect on peoples lives...my life has certainly been changed by it
With such wisdom, how does this video only have 21,000 views?
I found this particular story a long time ago during High school, and has been one that has stuck with me as I've moved from Believer into Apostate. Music at this time carries so much more weight than anything else and some how Ive stumbled back on this gem after looking for music to listen to while studying. I love it and mewithoutyou and other bands got me through a lot of struggles in life
This is what is meant by, "people can't handle the truth." I too have been on the path of aaron, although sometimes i go to and fro.
I love this guy.
I love love love love love the kind of wisdom Aaron Weiss has. He is blessed by God and is a blessing to everyone.
Love the way he speaks ❤
i love aaron! he is such a kind person on this video and in person. i am fortunate enough to have had a few conversations with him. what a brilliant soul.
i love this man.
aaron always answers sincerely which is so refreshing, and so wonderfully saturated
Aaron Weiss thank you
this man is just amazing...
He's so brilliant.
I love that story!!! I think it needs to be made into a song....
i love this.
That's Jim Ward from At the Drive-In and Sparta sitting to Aarons right.
this guy makes everyone happy
this is inspirational I must say
Right on Aaron! Thanks for that.
Is it weird to say I know exactly what he's talking about and feel as if we are both living the same life....
There are great writers out there who have amazing insight for those who don't consider themselves religious, I being one of them. I would read some C.S. Lewis, who is one of my favorite authors, who has a strong knack for writing for Christian Apolegetics (a rational explanation for faith). I find many of Aarons interviews to fit in this style.
Early like, this is the story of everyone who feels they have had it bad, or who's disorder/sickness is simply bothering them, or who have had incidents growing up. I have had all these, and I refuse to look at it as good or bad..just life as it is.
I got to sit and talk to him, not for hours but for a while! It was amazing!
I would totally marry him! >.<
i’ve watched this so many times and never noticed that’s jim ward next to aaron
this is easily my favority video on youtube. helped me so much.
you dont need to think so much about god. Im not a literal christian, but i feel and see this inner soul in everyone i meet. Dont take your beliefs too literally
It's like a fragment from Waking Life(2001).
@sucameedeek That is because he is actually a christian. A true one. You know it when you see it.
@BimTalch Seriously, when I saw Jim Ward I flipped out. I had no idea he was supporting Invisible Children.
All the more reason to see At The Drive In now that they've reunited...
Interesting... it's REALLY rare to see someone who believes similarly to me on this issue. I'll bet he subscribes to the "best of all possible worlds" scenario also.
...who disliked this video!??
that's so sweet ^^
Jim Ward!!
@CanUfeeeLit i dont think so.
Jim Ward? Chris Conley?? whats going on here
@timanddrewband Actually, he's a Messianic Jew. He's said that he remains a Jew, even though he believes in Y'shua as the Messiah.
@DeathofBabylon And the broken old man.
aaah, you still single??! god wait for me deeeaaar!!!
Whoa! That's John Foreman sitting next to Aaron Weiss. My world just exploded.
That’s also jim ward next to him on the other side
no....jon foreman.
switchfoots lead singer.
Is it just me or does he talk like the joker from batman: dark knight.?
besides the point.
Hahahah Guys IS HE SMILING OR NOT?? xD
Fucking ingenious.
maybe they didnt mean them as solid people. The bibles a story, read it like you would any other story
I could be single for YOU, aaron...
I would like to marry someone like him. So much.
plus, Aaron kinda looks like Daryl all clean shaven
i would marry Aaron.
Moral of the story is who knows what is to come or what is good. God, of the Bible. :) Jesus came to earth to save us from our sins. :) the world is not going to love you, Jesus said, there are problems, and there always will be. But the peace resides with faith in Jesus.
I think it's a nice view, but very bias. He wants to see meaning and so adds in the meaning. From a purely empirical perspective the world has no meaning, it is neither good nor bad. Also, why do you think this is the best of all possible worlds? Could there not have been a world where there was no evil at all? A world where we were created to freely choose between good and good, rather than good and evil?
No, there could not have been. Also you first point was his point entirely. I know this is 5 years old, lol.
LMAO aaron is so awkward xD but i love him anyways
After the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict I came back here to listen to this story
ha theres no such thing as a non-literal christian,, youre either a christian or not and to say that your a christian and then rain negativity on something like this is contradictory and hypocritical. and by the way the bible says your thoughts should dwell on him always....
he makes no sense
