Michael Weiss and Brandon Beaver hung with PG’s Perry Bean before their show at Nashville’s Mercy Lounge. Weiss and Beaver walk through the axes, stomps, and amps they are using on this tour that celebrates the 15th anniversary of their album, 'A--B Life.'
Weiss’ desert island guitar is this stock 2003 Fender American Standard Telecaster.
Beaver’s No. 1 is this stock 1967 Gibson ES-335.

absolutely adore this band and everything they’ve done musically
Such a great band and an amazing album. It's great when bands play their gear during a rig rundown too
Yes! One i didn't expect to see either. Top 5 bands of all time for me for sure!
Surprisingly clean boards for these guys, considering how diverse their catalogue is. Great rundown, love the Old Blood appreciation :D
Perry always makes me nervous at first because he's so intense but i always end up loving his interviews, very genuine and geeky.
Man, I'm just passionate about that tone, ya feel me?! We have some killllller Rundowns coming your way, thanks for watching!
Very nice detailed rig run down. I really appreciate the time and effort put forth in detailing the pedal boards. Thanks
love this band!! was not expecting to see them here. thanks!
This was an early Christmas gift. Thanks Premier Guitar!
Yesssssssss so excited to see this up!
the procession love warms my heart - just got mine last week :)
I bought the old blood procession pedal after seeing this! It's great! I've been a fan of this band for a very long time. I'm really grateful that they are still making amazing music. Thank you!
The Procession? I was really excited to see these guys both use one because I've been looking at getting one for a while, weighing up whether or not to take the plunge. Glad to hear you've been enjoying yours - might make one my first big purchase of 2018!
James Wallace I recommend the procession, as well. It's easy to get lost when using it ESPECIALLY with delay and loop pedals. So much fun and it has endless possibilities.
these guys are fucking amazing and above all extremely nice
An easy solution to the "Les Paul problem" 28:22, is to just loosen the nut and make the switch go front to back instead of up & down. I did that years ago and never have a problem accidentally switching pickups.
I'd love to see a Rig Rundown on THE KILLERS, but I'm sure this has been posted a lot. I love these videos, PG!!!
Apparently live hes known for not using much. I'm sure that's changed, but the hot rod deville with a tube screamer is what hes been known to rely on.
Holy hell I'm always hoping I find such a nice guitar in the trash, great story. Great vid overall too
He’s definitely one of my favorite guitar players! Love all the Erie tonal riffs!
one of my fav
Did y'all get a chance to do Pianos Become the Teeth?
I,dumped my AC 30 for a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. The AC 30 was a 1969 and had problems. I bought it used in 1974 and it was my main amp until 2016. I,got sick of always fixing it and doing mods to keep it relevant. The Fender is bullet proof
Totally agree on the Epiphone! The 90s Korean made Dot I have is one of the best guitars I've ever come across. After I changed the pickups, it stands up to Gibsons no problem at all. Great guitar!
My pedal wishlist just got bigger. My wife hates when I watch these ;) Great Rig Rundown!
I want to see Perry's rig setup
Keybo Dare yeah, that would be great
A rolled up dollar bill with a tiny mirror
Tyson Rinker I don’t usually legit laugh out loud, but this comment got me.
Mike has both of the Jonny Greenwood axes 😮💨
He nailed that pumpkins tone!!!!!
Man, live it was even more dead on! Great guys, fun rundown!
Perry Bean dude!!! I was really hoping that you guys did a rig rundown for Pianos Become The Teeth!
Man, I'm a huge fan and really wanted to, unfortunately we shoot rundowns usually after the band has loaded in, and either right before, or right after soundcheck. So we don't typically get enough time to grab two bands, and this was one of those situations unfortunately. Hopefully we can get them next time around!
Nice jauns they got there! Hope PG catches White Denim soon :-)
i did a watercolor painting, that SHOCKED me when i saw "all circles" video had litetally THE Saaame artwork!!! down to the flower eyes, the blue eyeless creature, ALL OF IT and i had never seen before!!!
i shit my pants! almost
Then I go into the tuner
That’s cool that you can see it
...
Hey Premier Guitar do you think we could maybe have an Albert Lee rig rundown?
"It does sparkes too" nice
LARRY!! Doing that thang. 💎💎
Not sure how I don’t know more about this band but the redundant SP and Corgan references has made MEOY top on my list to check out. I’m surprised Billy doesn’t get mentioned more on these vids.
I love brandon's board
Mewithoutyou is amazing and I love Mike for putting this out there, but this interviewer doesn't know how to stop interrupting with his opinions and comments. It really must be frustrating to his interviewees
Once he said "I'm loosing hearing" I inmediatly turned down the volume cause I'm using headphones lol that stuff's scary
If I was on rig rundown I'd want perry to interview me we have the same energy
Nice saddles ;)
okay, how many "GOTCHAs" wil be in this rundown? Let's find out ;D
"totes jelly"
Eurghh...how cringey.
Monty Cantsin are you saying I'm cringey or he's cringey?
Perry of course!
Monty Cantsin ah, I see. Perry seems like an alright guy but he says some silly stuff
Perry is just the absolute dudebro
Could've swore I saw Mike with a gold top Les Paul during the Foxes tour era. But I can't find any evidence of it online! Suppose it could have been borrowed but I think I saw them twice then and he had it both times.

The Devin Townsend Project is playing Nashville this weekend. Please tell me you're doing a rundown with them.
Filmed. Look for it in January (got Clutch, too).
Excellent! Looking forward to both. Thanks PG.
14:12 serve the servants?
Yes it is sir !
$10?! Dang. Luckeeeeee
Unreal
I wonder why the Circa guys are cagey about doing one of these...
they arent, brendan has a rundown with earthquaker and i think colin has one coming out with premier. Also they have diagrams out, that are a bit aged i suppose.
oh thanks for the heads up! The Earthquaker thing was pretty brief but better than nothing. Really cool how he has specific delay banks for every song in the timeline.
Colin was using a line 6 m series on a recent tour. Brendan doesnt seem to do that, but I wonder if having that m series kept Colin from doing one of these.
Does anyone else think the first guy looks like a thinner Jack Black?
All of Brandon's clothes look to small for him.
Wow. Ive seen MWY a bunch of times and met this dude after a show and thought he had aspergers or some sort of disability. Seeing this though it turns out he was just a douchebag. I've always loved these guys so I wish I could go back to thinking he was disabled.
You're probably thinking of Aaron Weiss, the lead singer. This is his brother.
@@ericmonty naw. Always had great experiences with Aaron.
What makes him a douchebag? Lol
