Thank you; this (and your other videos on the tension assembly) have been really helpful in sorting out some issues I am having with a Brother DB2-B737 that I have just acquired. It's my first industrial and your videos are helping me with the learning curve.
I really appreciate the videos you’re doing!!! I have had tension issues with my Juki DDL-5530 since I got it. I have tried doing what you show in this video but it seems no matter where I move it to when I use the knee lift it doesn’t move the tension discs as it does in your video. Side note my husband put a new tension spring / discs part in about a year ago. I replaced all of the outer parts as they were rusted when I purchased it. Any help would be appreciated!!!
The post/pin that goes in the back of the tension must meet some resistance when you put it back in the machine. Watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/uU7Rri5f3JI/v-deo.html
Hello, thanks for the video! I was wondering why my tension disk doesn’t loosen no matter what when I pull up the foot? I did what you did in the video. It is always tight
Hello, I have a Juki DDL 227 and I am having a terrible time with looping on the underside of the fabric. I have watched several video's. Cleaned & reassembled but the take up spring keeps popping lose. I noticed that I did not have the thread disk rotation stopper and I have ordered 2. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
My problem is that I have to pull the thread from the top because it is so thigh that it breaks the thread every time Thank you so much for your tutorial. Mine is a DU 1181 N . ANY ADVICE?
I have a problem with my JUKI DDL-8700 thread tensioner, the assembly is OK. The problem is the metal inside the machine that is suppose to push the pin does not move when I pull the lever up or down. What seems to be the problem?
Hello again...I have a ddl 8700 and i just recently figured out how to fix the top tension that had become loose(thx to your video) Now when trying to sew leather the top stitch is great but the bottom stitch is crazy. I have tried to adjust the bobbin case tension (ended up loosing the screw) but the stitching did not change. What else could it possibly be? Thx!
Because it is in a tight spot, it can seem stuck. You will need a heavier screw driver, and unfortunately it has to be shorter then a standard screw driver. I'm sorry there is no special way to loosen it any easier. Is it rusted?
Thanks for the video, it helped my realize mine was missing the pin in the tensioner that releases the tension when the foot comes up.

Thank you, i had been struggling for hours & this just helped me!!
Glad it helped!
Thank you! I will make another attempt to get the tension correct tonight!

My machine doesn't sew at all and every time I rethread the needle the bobbin thread pulls it out 🙄
Hi, I need some help please, regardless how much I pull it out or push it in, when I use the pedal press it doesn´t release the tension at all. Why??
My bottom stitch is a bit lose. Which part do I adjust? Hahaha
I don’t have this DDL machine but will this process work on an old Singer? I sew thick fabric on my Singer which gets loops on the bottom
I have a Singer 242
It works great but lately when I push to reverse it snaps my spool thread
@@debrazawacki923 If it is a household sewing machine I would not recommend it.

Is the hand wheel locked? Can you email me a video? sewinggold@comcast.net
Hi i did this as the tension was too tight but now the discs are so loose that the tension is so loose i cant tighten the tension at all.
Your tension assembly is close to the machine. Back it out a bit.
Good info, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Will thuis Work On my du 118n
Please the screw for my tension is stuck. Do you have an idea on how i can loosen it? I need to change the whole tension

SewingGold.com yes it looks rusted. I planned on using a soldering iron to heat it up
Try some WD40 first.
