I bought a Kingstar DY-370-22H from UNO in South Africa, which I regret in buying as I find no tutorials on trouble shooting and so on. The Juki seems very similar. Thank you for your video as I am learning alot with it.
Hope this helps. I was able to adjust the thread with ur other video to use standard thread and wife is happy. Q). I completely removed the spring and screw and put what i thought was default by counting the turns. Q2- Is it good idea to get couple of bobbin cases for different types of threads? BROTHER provides a chart for needle size and that helps. Wife was using “Dual Duty” thread which was thicker. I just changed it all out- used different colors and was able to see what wax going on. but still had one color slightly coming over to other side. Ur video really helped with the tension. my late MIL gave the sewing machine to us years ago and don’t think it ever had a tune up. Think it is a BROTHER VX-1100. Thansk again for post to this link Will see what this does. but am thankful
WOW, what an excellent video, great job. I have a question when sewing my thread gets frayed between the needle eye and the thread loop just above the needle, can you tell me what causes the fraying in that area? Thanks
ua-cam.com/video/qKzVnIseY6g/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared Check the condition of the hook, plate hole and make sure there's no Knicks and not bent downward because of the pressure of the foot.
I had this problem yesterday, but I think it was backwards I had a little ticker thread before so I had made the tension tighter and yesterday I had to sew 6 layers of fabric I switched to embroidery thread it looked finer than the other one and didn’t move the tension, so the thread became really loose on top and snapped out of the needle, I adjusted the tension all the way to left to loosen it and it fixed it
Hi, do you think that it might be a cause of my thread keeps snapping? I have a 3 head hair extensions sewing machine. First machine is fine but other 2 having problems with thread snapping all the time. Thank you
Can you do a video on how to adjust the two thread guides that are on slides like the one about the tension assembly and the one on the other side of the take up arm. Thank you for your great videos
I have had an industrial Jack machine for 2 months, but for a week nothing has worked. On the underside of the seam there are bundles of thread or it creates loops. The dealer told me to turn the knob one way or another but nothing changed. Seeing your video, I tried your method and it works. I say 1000 THANKS to you. On the other hand, I use #40 thread (thick) but very often the thread unravels into small strips at the eye of the needle. Do you know why and do you have a solution?
Agreed. The manual does however show how to move the thread guide (Silver thread guide hook above the thread tension) to help with tension instead of the method in the video. But this video really solves a lot of issues with using different thicknesses of threads and fabrics.
how to fix the loose stiche at the back even the tension is very tight that i can hardly pull the thread when setting the tension..my machine is singer with zigzag..thaks for the reply
Hi Doc, What is the model number of your singer zig zag and what fabric / thread are you sewing? Can you send a photo of how you have the machine threaded?
Yes the Heavier COIL SPRING is part #B3114232000 and the take up spring you can try to follow the video first before swapping it out to a heavier set spring as it normally can be adjusted to fit your needs. You can order the coil spring on our website www.abcsewingmachine.com Call us if you have any questions.
thank you for this video. you have saved me time taking the machine in when I can just adjust it myself.
