The best explanation I’ve heard in my life ❤! I bought a Juki DDL 8700 industrial machine about 15 days ago and I was having problems when sewing. I saw many videos but nobody knows anything and now you have arrived and you make my life easier! Thankssssss😂❤
I use many machines and have trouble remembering the details for my 2 Jukis. I now will remember because your descriptions abd demo have given me memory pegs and explanations as to why and how. I hopefully won’t have to dig out my instructions each time I go back to my Juki. The domestic machines virtually thread themselves these days! I would love a few demos for the feet that go with these machines. Thankyou.
Okay…. I just want to say that this explanation was EVERYTHING I was looking for. You’ve answered questions that I didn’t know I had yet. I was having trouble with the thread tension and it was because I missed the very first step in the threading process AND doing a step out of order. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I come back to this every time because I don’t use my machine often and every time I think what a great machine I have after following your detailed instructions!
I just applied for an interview at pattern utility business and seen they have this kind of industrial sewing machine, I'm nervous but this was the most detailed explanation of what my interview wants to see how I work with industrial sewing machine, this helps my nerves.
This is the best video that I have seen anywhere on UA-cam. Thank you thank you for explaining the thread direction and when it goes through this and that and how it looks around I’m serious it’s a great video and I wanna watch all of yours thank you
Thank you so much for the CLEAR demonstration how to proper threading or proper installation of thread in Juki DDL5550 industrial sewing machine. Again thank you so much.....
You explain this so well…. Simple so everyone can understand and hopefully get it right the first time. The challenge for me is getting the tread in the bobbin going the right direction. 😎
You are such a wonderful teacher. My wife and I have successfully learned how to thread and operate the Emel 8500 industrial sewing machine by watching this video. Sending you lots of love all the way from Nigeria. ❤️
Can you please do a video on fixing upper and lower tension problems. My Juki shows dots of the bobbin thread laying on top of the upper thread which looks more like a line than a stitch
thank you for taking your time and showing all the details. i noticed that my machine is threaded wrong on the top. I will certainly look at all your videos. learning to use my DDL8700.
Thank you for the video. Do you have any suggestions where to get free motion presser foot for Juki DDL-8500 I need that for beaded dresses. Thank you for your response
Thank you so much for this wonderful presented video. I got a second hand Swift GC5550 and no user manual. I have no idea what I am doing but your video help me to thread the machine and out the needle in correctly. I am still trying to control the speed, it goes way to fast for me at this stage. My question please my top thread keep on breaking after just a few stitches, Can you please help me to get this right? And how do I control the speed so it doesn't go so fast please? Thanks in advance. Nicolene from South Africa
After putting my thread in that little floss tuck, my bobbin case has a small coil like in that gap where the needle goes in and out, I’m not sure what the next step would be since my bobbin case is different than yours.
Just got a Juki ddl 8700 and start testing it and all of a sudden the take up lever is stuck down and I can't bring it up. Is there anything you could pls suggest that I do? Tried to engage the clutch and that didn't work
I was taught when threading that the take up lever should be at the top and to lift the presser foot when passing the thread into the tension disks. Lifting the foot opens the disks to ensure the thread is seated properly.
I'm having a problem with threading my machine, and bobbin which do not match the machine exactly that you are using on your video. The video is very good but as my machine is slightly different, I can't work out how to do mine. The thread keeps snapping, so something is obviously wrong, and the needle keeps hitting the spool case. HELP please
Awesome information, thank you for your time. I am using a juki DU141NH however much too often the bobbin thread twists knots just before it gets pulled out of the case when sewing causing the top thread to bunch under the fabric. Even when holding the case in hand and pulling the thread through a short portion will flow out perfectly untill the thread twist and knot inside at the hole and case ten tio er causing the thread to get stuck… I believe the twist happen when spooling the bobbin how do I remedy that, any ideas… thank in advance…
Loose bobbin thread can cause a lot of problems. The speed that you wind your bobbin also makes a big difference to the quality of the wound thread. Higher speed, correct setup for winding, and don’t thread through a hole in the bobbin (this causes issues on industrial machines). Hopefully a smooth bobbin fixes your issues.
Hi, my Juki 8700 manual says the bobbin thread the other direction then you showed. The thread must not over and away but over and to you. Not clockwise but counter clockwise. Isn't that strange??
I just got this machine Juki DDL 8700 for Christmas. You explain this so well. I was told to only use Polyester thread, but I see that you was using cotton thread for an serger. So what is the best thread to use in this machine? I got this machine for making quilts. I have always use cotton threads for quilts.
You can use your cotton threads. Just watch your tension. I use my Juki for piecing too. Don’t put your hand behind the machine. Right hand guides the fabric left hand steadies the fabric on the table to the left of the needle.

Hi have a question. What adjustments do you need to make do the back side look just as good as the front
When sewing Jeans with Denim (medium to heavyweight), Should the bobbin tension be loose or tight? What should the thread tension be, loose or tight?
Excellent video and loved how you explained all the important details.
