This is a simple and quick project that makes a fantastic gift. With deceptively simple techniques, you can make a beaded cascading necklace without beads OR clasps! All you will need is a little yarn and a crochet hook.

Thank you so much for explaining so many things like the 25 plus the three for the puff is the 28, and the tip on moving up the hook to keep stitches loose, and also keeping the hook facing down.. those are things that I don't remember anyone ever telling me back in the day. This is just super cute. I wish my grandma were still living because she used to make us all kinds of things our whole lives. She would be whipping these out nonstop ....after I made her one, of course 💖☺️ her fingers would fly over everything she did knitting crochet sewing quilting. I think of her every time I sit down with the hook and yarn 🤗💛

I love the versatility of this necklace! I even made approximately 50 beads-sl stitched, ch 1, sc to make one long necklace, then doubled it to wear long or slipped through double to make a lariat look, so cute!

Hi Kristin! I'm a newbie to crocheting. I have made these in all kinds of different yarn weights. I was wondering, if you could instruct me on how to make these (same tiered necklace) but, instead with a clasp closure? I would so greatly appreciate your expertise and any assistance. I know my reply is 11 months later but I can tell you how to do this. Place your clasp pieces on the yarn before you begin. Make the first knot around your crochet hook with the first piece of the clasp. Work the necklace back and forth instead of in the round as she had shown. When you finish the first row, slide the second piece of clasp into the turning stitch. For best stability and strength, stitch into each clasp as you reach it with the succeeding rows. Hope this helps you.

You can use any hook you want. Different size hooks make different sized projects.
