Allie! You don't now how many times I've returned to this practice! It is a holy grail class and it has saved me many times over. I newly moved across countries and am renovating our new home. I'm covered in scratches and bruises from the work. I spend my days drilling, covered in dust, carrying heavy things, etc. I haven't been able to tend to my body and my mental health as diligently as I usually do (and need to to in order to function). But today is a rest day, and I am here first thing in the morning tending to my needs and I have been yearning to do this one for a while! Thank you for saving me today! I’ve been on a power yoga kick but something in the notes caught my eye and said I need this today. I didn’t realize how much my shoulder were rounding to protect my heart. The heart openers brought me to tears multiple times. What a release! Amaze-balls.

That was wonderful moment. So softening and heart opening thanks to the cues throughout the practice! I can now feel the peace in my mind and heart and I will come back to that practice once I feel my armour building too high around me! Thank you Allie.
when is the last time anyone did shoulder rolls in their yoga practice. that in itself was huge, and completely changed the very last stretch at the end when rolling to put my foot behind me on the floor. normally i have an issue getting the foot flat on one side and i was able to do it without a problem. just proves the right prep and stretch helps your mobility all the way down the line. i normally hold stress in my shoulders so i loved this whole sequence. thanks allie! grenada is treating us all very well :)

It combines your plank party with the morning practice but is not too hard and still working on opening the shoulders (I miss that a bit in the plank party, which is very tough on the shoulders). thanks allie! I really find the title very helpulf. in fact I decided to try the video because I saw the "shoulders part" text. it is not too long at all. You give awesome verbal cues and I found myself not really looking at the video all that much, and the advice you gave really helped me to deepen my practice and focus even more on all the aspects of what I was doing. Oh my gosh, Allie! What a perfect practice for me this morning! I have been feeling that tight, clenched feeling this week in my chest, and I've had to really remember to keep my shoulders back and chest open. It probably didn't help that several days ago I did a pretty intense chest strengthening workout, after having made a life-changing decision to quit my job the week before! My last day at work will be this Wednesday, and while I am feeling relief that I am releasing my toxic workplace, and I won't have to subject myself to being in that environment anymore, I am of course feeling uncertainty and stress about my immediate future, as I don't yet have a new position lined up yet. Thank you so much for this lovely, heart-opening practice. I will go forth into my day with a renewed sense of confidence that my future is wide open, and there is so much possibility!
I did the same thing as you...in March, left a very unpleasant job without having another job! My coworkers were great and I miss them, but the clientele of negativity and hostility was not for me. I held out 9 months and could take no more, it was slowly killing me. I have a very part time job that is not cutting it being on my own. While my savings are dwindling down and there's a bit of freaking out, I am relieved and don't regret my decision. It's a challenge, but I have faith and know I will find work. I am enjoying free time, hiking and exploring. Like you, I had just worked out today, a long hike, and my thighs were done. Coupled with a blocked heart chakra, very tight shoulders, chest, back and ribs, I could not even stay in some of these poses. It was so painful. At the end, I feel 10x better. My chest and heart opened up thanks to Allie's inspirational guiding dialogue. All the best to you Christine in your job search or wherever this takes you. xxoo

Thank you Allie. I broke my shoulder in 2 places, 10 months ago. Through your videos, I am gaining new movement throughout the shoulder region. I am unable to do eagle arms at the beginning of this sequence, but can do them at the end!! This has become my favourite practice for now. :)

This was amazing. At one point my back was killing me, and not from any one pose. Each asana countered the last, yet supported the work done, so that at the end I did a two-part shavanasa: I placed my block under the center of my back, which felt good for about a minute, then I relaxed completely flat on the floor. I feel completely rejuvenated! Thank you
Thank you so so much for this practice, Allie ❤️ I've been sitting a lot more than usual and had some injections done on my lower back, neck and shoulder areas. Opening and letting go of that tension has been just a tad difficult. But I feel a lot better and especially in throwing in some self love hugs.
Wow! I don't know what it was about this practice but I feel so alive and powerful after taking this. Really enjoyed my shavasana. Last year, I got my heart broken and lost my job so I feel I let go of that lingering pain on the mat today - thank you. I have two questions about this practice: 1.) In downward dog and tabletop, I I let a lot of weight go into my wrists. How can I alleviate some of that pressure? 2.) In boat pose, my legs can get higher than my chest. Should I try to stay even?

With your questions, it's very hard on this platform to give you advise, as I can't see your form or know your body's history. With any postures that cause pain, please safely come out of the posture. In very general terms, for downward dog, ensure you are engaging through your core and legs, maybe even bend through the knees a bit and know you can always come to your elbows. It may help to stretch and strengthen your wrists (here's a video if you'd like - ua-cam.com/video/cap-tDduXz4/v-deo.html). With boat, ensure that your spine is long, shoulder blades gently drawn back and down, and engage your lower abdominals. If your spine rounds when your legs are higher than your chest, return to your edge where your spine is long. Hope that helps ❤️️
Hey Allie, loved this flow (love all of em really!), this will sound silly but im looking for a flow that really strengthens the lower core, so like the lower abdominal and around the lower back and thigh area, feel like i have a weakness there which can feel disheartening at times. Thank you Allie. I broke my shoulder in 2 places, 10 months ago. Through your videos, I am gaining new movement throughout the shoulder region. I am unable to do eagle arms at the beginning of this sequence, but can do them at the end!! This has become my favourite practice for now. :)

This was amazing. At one point my back was killing me, and not from any one pose. Each asana countered the last, yet supported the work done, so that at the end I did a two-part shavanasa: I placed my block under the center of my back, which felt good for about a minute, then I relaxed completely flat on the floor. I feel completely rejuvenated! Thank you

Thank you so so much for this practice, Allie ❤️ I've been sitting a lot more than usual and had some injections done on my lower back, neck and shoulder areas. Opening and letting go of that tension has been just a tad difficult. But I feel a lot better and especially in throwing in some self love hugs.

Wow! I don't know what it was about this practice but I feel so alive and powerful after taking this. Really enjoyed my shavasana. Last year, I got my heart broken and lost my job so I feel I let go of that lingering pain on the mat today - thank you. I have two questions about this practice: 1.) In downward dog and tabletop, I I let a lot of weight go into my wrists. How can I alleviate some of that pressure? 2.) In boat pose, my legs can get higher than my chest. Should I try to stay even?

With your questions, it's very hard on this platform to give you advise, as I can't see your form or know your body's history. With any postures that cause pain, please safely come out of the posture. In very general terms, for downward dog, ensure you are engaging through your core and legs, maybe even bend through the knees a bit and know you can always come to your elbows. It may help to stretch and strengthen your wrists (here's a video if you'd like - ua-cam.com/video/cap-tDduXz4/v-deo.html). With boat, ensure that your spine is long, shoulder blades gently drawn back and down, and engage your lower abdominals. If your spine rounds when your legs are higher than your chest, return to your edge where your spine is long. Hope that helps ❤️️

Hey Allie, loved this flow (love all of em really!), this will sound silly but im looking for a flow that really strengthens the lower core, so like the lower abdominal and around the lower back and thigh area, feel like i have a weakness there which can feel disheartening at times. Thanks for stepping on the mat with me and for your feedback! ❤️ Here are some classes (which you may have checked out already!) that I think may help you target the lower abdominal, back and thighs! They aren't necessarily specific to that area, but will still help. I'm throwing in some hamstring classes because strong hamstrings are so so so helpful for building strength in your thighs (obviously) but also as a base for your low back/abdominal area.
