My 600-lb Life is an American reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds (270 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss.
I love it when people succeed on this show! 💙
i love when you cheer on and acknowledge the wins of this show!
Yep he seems like a genuinely good caring person
That’s important to hear the success. They should have the successes (whether in this show or just people who were that big who lost a lot). Coach and inspire them. To keep reaching out and show it on the show.
Those who have been there are more relatable to them.
You know you've done well when you actually get a smile out of Dr. Now
9:51 my jaw DROPPED. That much in that little time?! Go queen, shes doing great.
It is mind blowing how people can reach this level and not doing anything about it, personally I have always struggled with weight, but my indicator is my clothes, never buy anything bigger than the size i should be, if I see the clothes getting tight, immediately I do something about it, but I believe most of these issues are mental
A friend of mine always said "never buy clothes bigger than you need because you'll grow into them.". :)
Is it weird that I'm working out while watching this video lol
Charities left leg weighs as much as me...ME. THE WHOLE ME!!!!!
Me too probably, I'm small though
Im always rooting for Bettie Jo. She was such a sweetheart. Her boyfriend needed to gtfo. Literally wanted her yo stay fat and dependant on him
Ikr, she deserves a much better boyfriend!
Joey you talk about these about these people as though you know them personally.
Also, in the 19th century, being fat was associated with wealth, nowadays the poorer you are the fatter you get 😢
Nuts, isn't it?
This was great!
I don't have money. If my clothes get tight, i know i need to lose a couple pounds. I couldn't buy a new wardrobe a month
I just love Betty Jo. .
Man you look at some of these patients and how mobile some of these them they are carrying so much weight and it’s a shame. They could’ve been physical specimens.
Ikr! I used to be obese, I wasn't 600 pounds, but even still, it was harder to walk. The fact that they can stand at such weights, is pretty amazing! Like having a couple extra PEOPLE on their back. They have amazing muscles and joints to be able to move that much weight.
Btw, you have an awesome dog! My dogs helped me get to a healthy BMI, dogs like walks, so they'd inspire me to get more active.
@@zxyatiywariii8great here you overcame adversity ❤
Amber is an amazing success story…
How it’s possible that these people can stand.🤷🏼♀️
The black guy is gold from Angel chick

Imagine going on your third weight loss surgery
Very embarrassing.
Lmao "I'm getting really close to the 400's, and I can't remember when I was that small" oh honey, being 400lbs is not small in any way, shape or form. Good on you for losing weight but still.
She's speaking from her perspective. It's small to HER
it doesnt matter how big you are, losing 200 pounds is going to feel liberating. You ever carry 200 pounds on your back, you would be happy to get it off i promise.
Enough
Third and fifth
Secondddd
Do these guys not have a scale at home then again mabey they are too big for them ?
Scales at home? Where would they buy them from? These are industrial usage scales! I swear!
Most at home scales when you buy them say they only go up to 450 or 500.
Idon't think they have a mirror either.
