Hi Guys, starting to get back in the swing of things so expect more content landing this week, hope you enjoy this video giving a little update on what's been selling over the last week or so since opening 👍👍👍👍
Great to see your flying, my daughter has a little Honda Jazz and its a cracking car.
When you go to the auction, please show the prices of BMW, Audi, Mercedes, 2016-2020. I think that many people find them interesting. Thank you
I'm not surprised you're doing so well.
You take any potential buyer right through the process from auction to forecourt.
They can see the work you need to do and you even give the mark up you receive.
Where do you normally get that insight.
People don't expect you to do it for nothing.
But the fact you are open about all the above.
Let's them know what they are getting.
And puts trust in you fella.
I'm hundreds of miles from you but I'd make the journey to buy a car from you as I'm pretty sure I'd be buying from someone I could trust.
Love this channel been watching it for months.
Thanks toxic, kind of you to say 👍👍
Been watching your video's from day one,a lot of car dealers could take a leaf out of your book some get them from auction, delivered on a transporter put straight on the pitch with no checks and if you buy and complain they know where you live and say they will send the boys around.......yes it does happen!!
i wouldn't hesitate buying a car from you as your a genuine honest dealer and you will be a great success
Had to laugh when you said battery on Mini as flat as a witches tit.
I use the same description drinking flat Coke. Good to see you are off to a flying start.
The cheap ones have always been in demand, some people want a car from A to B that’s cheap to run and doesn’t mind a few scratches here and there.
Congratulations on the start of your new business, you can't beat a good cheapie! You really do show that actually traders like yourself do check things over and do care about the cars you are selling.
Good quality, affordable used cars for the everyday person. What's not to love?
thanks shep 👍👍
Cheap cars are great if you know what your looking for and at,blown head gaskets, noisy cv joints gear boxes etc, there is many a bargain to be had out there, good luck
Keep the regular videos on cars for sale coming.
Is there a website to view your cars ?
Great channel and best of luck.
Not currently, to be honest I don't thin we will need one. we have a lot of footfall and between people walking on and buying and our social media via facebook locally we seem to be doing well without one
Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I don’t have Facebook and live in Glasgow, so I would have to rely on your videos which could mean something I liked, being sold.
I will be looking for something in the very near future though, hence the website query. I do think that would be a benefit not only to me, but potential buyers throughout the country.
Anyway, great videos and wish you all the success. 👏👍
Glad it's all going well lee,I've treated myself to that diagnosis machine and it's spot on.cheers for that mate.
It is great to see you have hit the ground running. We absolutely love the channel, especially buying cars at the auction.
Glad business is booming 4 u Lee buddy 👏🏻👏🏻 U defo deserve it and your good name goes with u to this new business so you'll absolutely smash it m8!!!...Loving the videos on the pitch so keep em coming buddy...👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻😍😍
Hi Lee. Jesus the Yard is practically empty Mate. That's a Great sign. With afew more ready for picking up. You can't ask for more than that lol😅😅. You will need to hit a few Car Auctions too find some Stock Lee. Thanks for showing us the good and bad engine in those Mini''s. The BMW engine I know is Crap lol. Now i will know the difference just by looking at ĺt. Anyway great job Lee. I didn't think even you could have gotten rid of that amount of Motors 🎉🎉 Well done Lee. Chat later my friend. Auction time lol 😅😅 🇨🇮 🇨🇮 .
Thanks liam, off to the auction tomorrow so should be filming another video for going out next week. Thanks for watching as always 👍👍
@@carukchannel That's brilliant Lee. Keep it turning over lol. Good luck at the Auction tmro. I cant wait to see what turns up. You never know what you will find there. 🚗🚙🚚🚜🚐🛵🛴🚲 sorry Lee I'm getting excited now. No Scooters or bicycles lol🤔🤗😅😂🤣
Great video Lee and good to see you’re selling your stock.
Great to see you off to a flying start Lee! u deserve it!
Much appreciated
Anyone who watches your channel and is looking for a reliable little run about won’t go past your place Lee , hope you do well
Alright Lee, love the channel, and all the very best in your new business. Just one question mate, why is there such a high demand for small automatics, compared to small manuals these days? It's been bugging me for weeks...Had a little search, still not sure..🤔😬🤔😄
Glad it’s going well for you mate
Just watched your latest vlog, the mini you showed SG06EVL was my Wife’s old car a couple of years ago , was a belting little car
LEE I THINK YOUR turning into Alan partridge (sounds like a rally carrrrrrr 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊
AHA !!!
@@carukchannel brilliant you and all the guys have a great Xmas 👍 👌
Looking forward to seeing this channel grow. The detail on the cars that're being fixed and sold is great. At the rate you're moving them it seems like your main problem will be sourcing the stock. Looking forward to seeing how you combat that.
Thanks jjs
Good to see you have finally got up and running lee I know where to come when I need my next motor😊
I started similar to you. Stuck to cheap cars at auction . Always small hatchback diesels before the state demonised diesel power. They sold very well with good profit margins. I looked for 8 to 11 year old cars with around 80 to 100,000 miles. Usually doubled my money. But the pandemic and cost of living crisis..plus the green campaign and rising car prices almost killed my market. Pleased you have found a niche..are car prices cheaper up north at auction? They used to be years ago
Bloody fair play to you Lee, im really pleased everything is going so well for you buddy. 👍🙂👍
thanks John 👍👍
Always enjoy your videos Lee, Encyclopedic knowledge of the auto trade. Wish i'd got your energy :)
glad to hear your up running and trading with cars selling gonna be a good pitch on main road well done
Cheers for the link (JS2000) just ordered one -
I reckon that might come in handy this winter! Loving the channel as well, between you and Chops !
Honda jazz is super reliable city car my neighbour has 2 an 03 and 56 plate the 03 looks rough but keeps going. 😊
Congrats on the opening of your pitch, I wish all dealers put a little more effort into how they present their cars. I've been looking for a car for a while and I'm finding the process frustrating. The pictures look ok then you get there to find loads of scratches, scuffs etc , maybe my expectations are too high for £6000 cars with lowish mileage
Good video i like your honesty and no bull. Keep up the good work
I appreciate that
I may pop in one day if I don't anything privately round here. Looking to downgrade from my 16k car. I have had enough of worrying about it being damaged at car parks , or by incompetent dealership that is looking after this year since it was new. When I send it to them, then send it back in worse condition.
I am genuinely over the moon for you...well played.
Thanks Stuart
Well done mate brings back memory’s of when we started
Thanks stevee,
Did topdon come down the night before and drain the battery on that mini 🤣
🤣
loved the mondeo lee i had a 2003 1.8lx it was the best used car i ever had very reliable.👍
Very interesting video Lee, it was great to see your stock, and updates on the various cars.
You’ve got quite a variety there, which should cover most people’s needs❤.
Thanks katie 👍👍
Proper enjoyed that vid mate, kid in a candy shop type stock that is, some lovely little buses on the pitch there bud, dead pleased it's going well for you straight off the bat!
Keep em coming mate 😁👍🏻
Looks like business is good Lee well deserved. Great catchment area as well
Great Fireside Video Yet Again Thought New Nick Name For Your Car The Macaroon Or The Snowball L.O.L.

Great videos and great advice. I appreciate your honesty and integrity. I think a visit to your site in the near future is on the cards. Many thanks. ps I’ve just bought a TOPDON JS2000 on your recommendation! 👍😊
Thanks tom, great bit of kit, we use ours nearly every day
Glad to see that things are going well. These days small cheepy cars are definitely what alot of people are after, from a genuine salesman/garage......winner winner
thanks John
Thought I saw u the other day lol.... Live 2 mins from there
Well done Lee, you're flying. I'll be in the market for a kickaround car like a panda toward the end of the year, I'll be down to see you!
👍👍
Amazing work Lee! Thanks for the update and your openness too. Thrilled for you that business is going well.
I need to know who your smart repair man is mate!
Cheers for the upload as ever.
Been watching a lot of your vids lately. I also dabble in buying and selling from auction (trying to pay off the mortgage), great to see you take it to this level. Since you tell us on the videos how much you buy cars for, do you think buyers will use that against you to haggle the price down? What would you say to them if they did?
I honestly think most people would think that’s NOT a lot of “GROSS profit”, given the work involved in researching and sourcing from auction, fixing and preparing whatever shows up on trialing and MOT’ing, etc etc, for this reason:
The business doesn’t make a net profit from buying & selling a car. Say there’s a grand apparent markup. But that difference of a thousand has to cover business taxes, business insurance, fuel, theft and vandalism risks, other overheads like heat, light and mobile. If you’re getting good, used parts, doing your own fitting, or find someone a local handy lad who’ll do it for a drink, so you can do other things that cannot be delegated, a bit of paint from the best nearby reliable person, with whom you’d be clear you’d like nothing better than to form a business relationship that endures, so many things are all nibbling on that grand “profit”.
Then there’s this. Not every trade works out well. You’ve to swallow your mistakes and bad luck.
You can lose your capital if you end up with something too expensive to fix and you’re scrabbling around, after giving a refund, trying to avoid a net loss, perhaps get out without losing your shirt.
ONLY once all these costs are washed through covered, and there’s a NET profit, then you’ve a business , at some level.
What if, having done all this, the implied hourly rate you’re earning is less than minimum wage?
You can’t reliably calculate implied hourly rate, because all else held equal, those numbers depend in large measure both upon volume but also dwell. You don’t want cars sitting for months. I’d be very impressed if he can get to £10,000 per month of genuine net profit after all costs. A tough business but one in which a series of little wins can happen, and we humans thrive on getting that ultimate feedback on whether you’re more or less on track.
Good luck! This meets a vital need in the chain from new cars all the way out to iron oxide nirvana!
Good things come to good people. Good luck Lee. I like your straightforward honest approach. Dave Birmingham
Thanks David 👍👍
Lee you sound really happy it's going well have you sold many cars to subscribers? Mark
Thanks yes, really happy and enjoying things here. Sold a few to people who have watched the channel (y)
Its a shame all dealers aren’t as honest as you. Most backstreet dealers don’t even bother fixing cars before they are up for sale.
Sadly very true, thanks for watching roblox
Fantastic channel, full of information, so honest and reliable . Good Luck .
Thank you very much!
Glad it’s going well, always a out having good stock, well done.
Thanks 👍
The very early Clio Campus (around 2006) didn't have the major bumper/tailgate changes / rear numberplate relocation, but yes yours is just one of the last Clio IIs. The body coloured bump _strips_ (rather than just the main bumpers) appeared from 05 reg.
My sort of cars...cheap and cheerful
Well deserved . Love the channel . Honest no nonsense cars and salesman
We need more of you guys Wen I need a new car your the man❤❤❤
Honesty and transparency goes along way. I wish you all the best.
Leaving us all hanging on the contentious issue of the Focus Lee .....a real entertainer 😂😂
😁👍
Nice one Lee, so pleased its going well for you because taking that leap must have been a little anxiety provoking. Like the shout out for the Panda, I'm a 6ft, 17 stone bloke, not your average Panda owner but absolutely love mine, it does everything I need it to and is so reliable because its looked after.
i loved this video....great little buisness that will survive.....and all you sell is checked by you....good luck lee you deserve it
Decent car for someone that little Panda
Just shows if you know your market, price the cars right and look after your customers you will see stuff flying out of the door.
Thanks James 👍👍
Lee, having met you and hearing advice from you. I`m really happy you are happy and doing well. Long may it continue. I do have a question, although I suspect you may have addressed it in a previous video. Are you planning to incorporate MOTs into your workshop eventually?
No Super fredc, the cost to do that would be around 35k due to the changes in recent years with mot equipment rules, to give some context I set my last station up for about 4k with second hand equipment. Also I really did not want to do MOT's anymore my heart had gone out of it, I will still do the odd test to keep my licence and do my yearly training as you never know if I need a trade again.
@@carukchannel I understand and hope you never have to fall back on it. Great content as usual. Best of luck to you.
Really enjoy your videos and content now among the first I look for.
Only thing I would say in my opinion is don't put a highlight at the very start and just start with your fine self instead 👍
thanks Glen, The highlight is a YT thing, long story but it picks it up as a vlog video and they seem to get recommended it better to viewers.
That jump pack is the Dogs Bollox, never misses a beat!
Great bit of kit 👍👍
Pleased to hear your doing well hard work does pay off .
Glad it going well bud you deserve it for the graft
Many thanks alastair
Nice one Lee Chuffed it’s working out for you you give some right good pointers about what cars to look out for it’s well handy knowing what to avoid cheers dude have a top week 🙂🎥✌️
Thanks 👍
£22 for a clutch…. Is it made of wood 😂😂
That rover 75 maybe a video on that?
I’ve never seen a trader so enthusiastic over the old sht - most outgrow it and move on. But there’s money it…
Wishing you well.... enjoying the content👍
I'm so glad for you Lee, if I was in the area I'd love to call in and clean some of your cars to help out. Your channel has been one of my best discoveries recently with Shifting Metal. ❤
Thanks 👍
To paraphrase a quote from Jaws....
WE'RE GONNA NEED A BIGGER PITCH!
😂😂
Fantastic success, obviously due to your knowledge and integrity. Well done to you !
thanks peter
great video you have a great knowledge of a lot of varied faults that can go wrong on a car so prospective buyers hopfeully will have added confidence when purchasing off you.
Great to see it going well Lee,just a little advice if you don’t get offended,if you can park the truck locally, might just give it a better image, out of sight out of mind, I know it not a break down truck put the people might view it that way,I have just commented on your opening dealership video & genuinely all the best going forward pal
Love watching these videos as always. Great info. Knew you'd get 'em cars flying out.
Thanks 👍
What’s your stock on automatics like?
Terrible 🤣 nothing currently in stock auto
Good to see a proper trader keeping the little runabout that everyone wants on the road. All these SUVs are clogging up the roads, massive tanks can’t see over the bonnet.
I’ve got an EV and as much as I’d like to see more ppl buy em and get cheap motoring, the price 2nd hand is still out of reach, I’m all for keep what’s out there on the road as long as possible, do em up till they won’t run no more, as long as they’ll fit in someones budget.
Business is going from strength to strength 👍Your hard work is paying dividends. It's a neat little forecourt you have, and looks very appealing.
its just what people are wanting more and more a cheap runabout
Congratulations on the sales! Great start to the business. 👍
Thanks so much!
Your defo in the correct trade, gift of the gab.
Thanks 😁
Great to see you are off to a flying start, long may that continue. Spot on choice of stock in light of today's financial climate 👍 Did I spot a Rover 75 behind the blue Aygo 🧐
Yes, not sure what to do with it, does drive well 🤔
@@carukchannel I'd love to see a video of it. I really like the old 75s, I'm on my 3rd one now. A good example is a nice thing to own 👍
Best of luck 😊
Nice to see stuff shifting fast, more content but less time... catch 22 lee 😂
Love your channel straight talking, honest and respectful may your business thrive will always mention you to anyone looking to buy for that price especially first timers.
Enjoy the video of your new business. I saw my old car in the background. I hope you do ok with it.
Hi anthony I will cover it if we still have it in a update video soon, was a injector in the end that fixed it. Did scratch my head mind for a few days but we got there
@@carukchannel Thank you for the update.
well done you are a grafter with a good name you deserve succes
Thanks allan
Glad you’re pitch is working out for you Lee. Good honest car trader
Thanks 👍
Really pleased to see you're off to a flying start Lee! Excellent.
Keep the quality vlogs coming.
Don’t worry about missing the usual, I loved this one!
Love your channel Lee, you are Topdon bloke
😁
Good quality cheap cars at its best glad its going well for you as a side note what would you suggest looking for as a 7 seater with £2k to spend
2k for a 7 seater does not give you much option these days, A VW touran but it will be up on the mileage but will drive well. easy one to look for is a zafira but I would buy a petrol zafira not a diesel. Mazda 5 were a good bus but do suffer with corrosion
Thank you for the reply I was looking at petrol zafira or the touran so not to far off then dont really need a diesel as I dont do many miles so have been told diesel engines are not good
👍
Watched this channel since day one absolutely love the videos I like every video this channel has come a long way and yhank you for the great content well done lee
Excellent podcast as usual Lee so happy for you the business is going well
Thanks so much!
Yeah I drive a Duster Diesel I bought 2nd had for good money - just before the Covid spike hit car prices. Cheap to run decent enough tbh after 3 years with no issues I'd buy another one. You just have to accept that what you are buying is not a Ford product - so it feels sh1t in some ways but is reliable lol
Hello lee
Nice video as usual.
I need to purchase a reliable solid built car to do 100 km to work and return , 3 or 4 times per week.
It must be automatic !
The engine should not exceed 1300 cc if gasoline or 1600 cc if diesel !
My budget is about 10000 euro.
Size doesn't matter , mpg does .
Do you have any suggestions ?
Fiat punto grande, fiat panda, Ford fiesta 1.25
@@matenagypal7322 what about the automatic gearbox reliability?
Congrats.
Glad it's going well Lee . Good luck going forward 👍
top man good to see one off the good guy's
Thanks Kizzer
