Hello James, liked the tour around the various cars, and you are being your usual self in sending the cars to the garage to get sorted / MOT for a year. Honest chap!! Best wishes from Lincolnshire.
Remember it's a cable clutch on the C1! Possibly a knackered pressure plate though. They usually bite high when they need adjusting though. Unless someone's tried adjusting it to bring the bite down but they've run out of travel or something With that being said, they are known for bad synchros but that usually means it's ok to go into gears at stationary but they'll usually refuse to go into 1st on the move unless you double de-clutch (There's a phrase some people probably haven't heard since the 70s 🤣)

Not got time to put a clutch in an Astra, bread & butter mate 🤷
What would it take me, 4 to 5 hours so basically a day with interruption to make £500. In that time I could prep and photo 2 of the motd stock that will make 2k in total. You have to prioritize
My wife never forgave for selling our note I've promised one day I will get her another love the colour ours was black
One of my hassle free favs
Don't sell the S2000!
Your friend does have to be very careful nowadays buying a car as Autotrader i have now renamed Autoshite LOL for under £2 grand you wont get anything decent unless you search for hours and hours , i was looking on that site for over 3 hours today to try to find a decent car under £2 grand i did find a 2013 Ford KA with 109 thousand on the clock and new MOT no advisories for £2 grand exactly but it was based in Glasgow LOL and that was the only decent car , avoid Insignias or Corsas , Avoid Renaults or Peugeots any French car is awful lol , Im still stuck with my old banger , I hate driving it as the rides awful and gears are stiff now but have no choice , so sad it is .
Yep get phone calls every day for 2k cars, not possible to do
@@ChopsGarage Yeah prices will only go up in short term until more people buy EVs
Replace Fiesta bumper less than £200 fingers crossed you get same colour.
Same colour bumpers are more than double unfortunately
Drivers door on fiesta looks discoloured like it's had paint
Well its the twice cat car so prob has, not as bad in real life though camera always worse
Car prices are crazy right now, £4k for a 13 yr old fiesta , couple year ago it would have been £2k at most , I’m in the market for a decent SUV as a second car and the prices for them are just stupid, eg 2007 CRV 150,000 miles circa £4k 😂
@@kitbuster no disagree, 13 year auto fiestas were not 2k 2 years old, you would of struggled to get a manual in fact. I think everyone has rose tinted glasses for historic prices.
@@kitbuster i recently sold a very similar auto Fiesta for 4k off my drive. Looked through the history and the previous owner had bought it from a dealer in 2018 for 3k. Prices on these Fiesta's and Autos in general have gone mad.
@@ChopsGarage James, I sold my 2010 Altea XL with 70k on the clock immaculate condition in 2020 for £1600 (auto trader recommended price)now see similar vehicles selling for £3 - £4k, maybe a bit of an exaggeration about the fiesta but certainly not worth anywhere near what they command now, the point is cars are dearer now as the lack of decent stock has pushed up the market values, seems like the days of a £1000 - £2000 runabout is over
As a rule of thumb most Nissans are ok bud.
I find so, still get warnings of chains but I don't think there is a make Ive not been warned off yet
@@ChopsGarage yes, I've had almeras with bad chains and an x trail, mil light will be on and cam sensor code.
Except Almeras whose front crossmembers rot out like on my Tino...
@@thomasfrancis5747 had a tino bud with a nats fault, not had either for a few years tho now.

They is no question
@@ChopsGarage its from a previous stream you chat about warranty wise and I asked you have you had any issues
I bought a policy last march made a claim this april and what a hassle not wanting to pay out
refusing to pay the garage for the works and i have a car that can not drive
just hassle
@@scotspie501douglas7 they don't sponsor me and I pay for each policy. I win some I lose some, they don't always pay
@@ChopsGarage I know warranty policies used to be a rip off but they dont change the price you pay is half of what joe bloggs pays
what makes me cross is there internet advert is misleading
but I will sort it
I thought the motor trade had sorted its act out
but same old motor trade
never changes
and thats the big boys
not you
you try and do the right thing
but dealers and manufactureres dont
@@scotspie501douglas7 no sure how it works that dealers at at fault that warranties don't pay, they are independent companies! Like blaming car manufacturers for fuel prices. If a the warranty company refuses a claim I pay for the work to be done myself if reasonable claim. But not everything is covered on a used car , even new cars only have a 3 year cover on them. If you want everything covered buy new.
