Nice one Lee . Good point about the extension lead . For such a mundane tool every house should have one . Have a cheap Argos ( Jcb make ) 30 metre one for years . Power on tap anywhere we need . Saved a fortune doing a fence job bottom of our garden when we found concrete remains of a garage foundation . Another cheap tool , Argos SDS drill and the trusty extension combined with a lot of swearing and sweating , job done !

your doing well with the pitch good selection of cars. instead of keep valeting them why not invest in some washless wax spray just to keep them clean whilst on the pitch then when sold valet them just a thought but its your pitch glad it going well.
I have tried a few bud but non seem to really work well, the fall out dust from the road and in recently with the sun and no rain is not helping, we just have to keep washing them off I guess. Need to get a saturday lad in to wash the cars I reckon
I'm so pleased I found this channel at near enough the start of it because the content is fantastic. A great first month there Lee and long may it continue, I'm one of those who goes on miles and condition rather than the number thats on the plate.

When I lived on the South Coast @ 20 years ago I met a mini cab driver - drove a early Proton Saga 1.3 petrol and was in the process of replacing it with another as he felt just over 300k miles was enough. He had sold it already for £500 to a mini cabbing mate. The Mitsubishi mechanicals on them was bullet proof.
I bought a proton saga for £100 once many years ago when I was not in a great place, spent £30 on ignition items, plugs leads and dis cap and it ran lovely again, used it for 3 months then sold it for £250. Simple times and a simple car, but my god it was ugly 🤣

Love watching your channel as it gives an insight as to what it takes to set up a business, and also what a first car might be. That was me 30 yrs ago in Darlington. Now living in Perth West Aus but still love to see what people are driving in the uk. All the best for the business and the channel.

Try the Idle air control valve for the Corsa Lee. Less than a £10 two screws and one connection. Simples!
I am sure its built into the throttle body bud, hence why I want to change it over and try it. Will update in the next vid if its worked 😁👍👍 thanks for watching charlie

Lee, what would you do with a 2012 zetec focus that needs a wet cam belt change. Would I be right in saying you wouldn't touch with a barge pole! Love the video. Your the man of the people and do your bit to keep the country moving.

Great insight video. Cracking first month - long may they continue for you. It’s good to hear that you are enjoying it so far, it makes the days go quick. Seeing the way you meticulously prep your cars, I would definitely travel to buy one if I was in the market.
Some of the 1495 cars if you sold them on the south coast would be min 2795 if not 3k!

Lee I received your email and I’m so grateful for your quick response.. it’s about my Vauxhall zafira 1.7 diesel.. what you told me is definitely what is happening with my car.. pinking noise and on tick over it hunts .. the cam makes a ticking noise on tick over but goes away once acceleration is applied.. I thought oil level was low but it’s on max .. any ideas .. hopefully not a expensive fix but appreciate your advice and suggestions and definitely taking the time to read and respond.. cheers Lee 👍👍
Injectors normally, might be worth getting a diesel specialist or garage to take a look
could be a sticking tappet or cambelt tensioner just tap with the handle side of a hammer on top and side of the rocker cover when running.. i just had same thing on same car after replacing a rocker cover gasket

I use smith and allen also, car has now been flushed and has transformed the auto box 👍👍

Another heads up for Westway. Great to deal with, used their oils on a few Jap cars (Honda's and Toyota's). Fast postage, good service, good product. Only use their oils now.
That blue corsa 39,000m (ML56 XGY) on the ramp i wouldn't spend much time on it,get it mechanically right,serviced & clean but the dents & bad scrapes etc i'd leave alone to get that slight lower figure. Leave the tyres alone if they're still legal...just my advice. Bit of a bumpy ride but it'll smooth out, doing good fella!. 👍
I own a 2010 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec, and I agree, The 1.6 are cheaper to tax, more economical and they are really nippy. Great cars.

Yes them rear seats in 206cc's are a joke, might as well not have them fitted
I work in Cheshire, I recommended your pitch to my workmate...his budget for a reliable first car is £5k...and he doesn't want to spend "only" £2k to £3k!... You can't please everyone Lee!

Why a hosepipe, You should have got yourself a Karcher or even a Titan if you didn't want to splash the cash. Pressure washer over hosepipe all day lad!
I have a karcher bud, but the hose pipe is ideal for just running over to the side of the pitch and quick wash off, than setting up karcher every time.
I've only just realised how much work is involved, it's a whole lot more than just buying & selling a £500 car and selling it for £1295, great vid as ever Lee

Good to hear pitch is doing well in first month or so Lee. The 39,000 mile Corsa should sell easily Lee when priced sensibly if you say it's worth £2195 advertise it for £1995 under 2 grand make it sound much cheaper and with the mileage your best bet is selling it through Autotrader , I've never bought a car from any thing but Autotrader other than what I've bought from the Auctions. If not you need a board in the windscreen with low mileage it's done around 2500 miles a year , shame it hasn't got a paddy plate on it.
Lee, not sure but perhaps a crank sensor on the low mileage corsa. Just a thought.

Trouble is some think a £1000 buys a Ferrari and entitles them to free road tax and years ins! Some proper dim wits out there or you get the silly offers of 50p and bag of crisps for your car!

I had a low miles i10 mate, 19k on a 09,got 4k plus on auto trader, maybe pitch it with a very low miles banner and no price, or as I do auto trader and a video
I had a corsa that year bud and it was an air leak from a rusty servo, check fuel trim on live data.

The 56 corsa sounds similar to an issue I had with a skoda, which ended up being the crankshaft sensor.

Definitely interested in the corsa with 39,000, get it running right for me & I’ll take it. (Based in Wales)
On the Corsa I had a similar issue which turned out to be either the Radiator sensor or the ECT sensor.... Changed both and the issue went away

Not sure why tbe bkack Corsa bought tbe blue Fiesta. Nothing wrong with tbe Fiesta, but usually wgen you sell your car you don’t buy a car of tbe sane age. Also the Corsa was 5 doors and a newer generation than the Fiesta. Havibg said that I know soneone who had an03 3 Series for 8 years, bought used and a few years old, and tben traded it in for a Freelander mk1, 02 reg???!!!!!

Lee. Can you help RE: Water Leak. Citroen C4 using 1-2 litres water every 10-15 miles. Realty’s it’s add 2 litres all time. High losses. Rapid loss. Hence over heat situation and stop light once on motorway. Put a combustion test fluid on it. Ok. Puddle under car just once. Small. Never again. No obvious water leak wonder if was internal… I was thinking water pump or radiator leak but dry as a bone and all hoses good high temp. I’d say classic head gasket but fluid said no. Stayed blue. Anything obvious reckon ???? The water leak is quick and high. But zero obvious. Bugging me

@@zzhughesd I learn a lot from these channels. I sold my 2007 C1 in June. Had it for 15 yrs. Good little car. I bought a 2006 Honda Jazz Sport. Only bug bears on both cars been rain water leaks.

Hi Lee I’m a new subscriber but have been watching your channel for a few months now.. if you get anytime can you give me your personal advice about a car I own.. I’d love to watch it in your video on UA-cam if you get a spare minute or two.. I own a Vauxhall zafira 1.7 diesel eco on a 2010 plate with leather seats etc only done 97 thousand miles with full service history.. had cambelt done in December last year and a new clutch and flywheel and full service.. just what is your opinion on these cars .. mine runs lovely but how much mileage can these do etc .. much appreciated .. also I’m excited to see you have a car I just had .. Citroen Picasso 2ltr diesel which was my old faithful and covered over 170 thousand miles and sounds like new still .. however I had spent lots on it over the years with new sills and front end bushes etc but I love your blue one and hope you get decent money for it ., it’s nice seeing cars I’ve had similar.. but absolutely love your channel and your honesty about cars and advice.. top fella and looking forward to your future adventures.. from Tony Lasham in Fakenham Norfolk 👍👍
I will deal in the 1.7cdti engine in astra and zafira, the only issues I come across is 6 speed boxes around this year were weak but you know when they go wrong as they jump out of gear or become very noisy. also can suffer with injectors that hunt (idle funny) or suffer with pinking noise. they don't like being used for short journeys 👍

I don't get offered or come across many to be honest, although saying that I did turn down a old Avensis 1.8 petrol today for £400 with 150k on it 2007 plate. 🤔

Good advice there. My eldest lad was visiting garages/dealerships from March onwards. Got to know all the staff in 2 dealerships. Got two email addresses from the relevant people who he'd been talking to and then advised to just have a face to face meeting before they even advertised the apprenticeship vacancies. Was offered roles at both dealerships😊.
Could the 39k Corsa have a blocked cat/exhaust or tank vent building back pressure or vacuum as it runs?
