Fair play to him affording to kinda keep that on the road at 19, I made the mistake at 24 for a weekend car.
15mpg driving sensibly if your lucky & get smoked by most little hatches.
I had the chain issue at 85k, it’s never missed a service, only mod is a stage 1. Cost thousands & EPC has just come back on again at 92k.
Things cost me more in a year than my 2015 stage 2 2.0 TDI A5 has is in nearly 5 years & feels barely faster.
But… the sound of the v8 will make anyone smile.
Affording to keep it? He had it 3 months and couldn't afford the tyres.

@FlyDrip Treasure Hunt-Gold and Silver You'll pay for it one way or another. You either pay £5k a year in depreciation/lease or you pay £5k a year in fixing things. The cheapest motoring is probably a carefully selected 7 year old Toyota.

I had a manual version of one of these in black a few years ago. Loved it..! It was good on fuel and amazing in the snow, but the only downside was the £600+ in tax. Even the rumble on the standard pipes was good..!👍🏻

Bought it 3 months ago, contacted them 2 months ago to sell... Buyer's remorse must have been huge for the past couple months.
I absolutely love how the a5/s5 coupe looks… I had the 2.7 v6 diesel remapped to stage 1 was honestly an amazing car but of course ULEZ came along so I brought the A5 3.2 v6 petrol but on 180k miles with no proof of timing chain being done sold it couple months later just incase🤣
My guys spending £6k a year just so its legal on the road, never mind fuel! Kid must have some serious cash or stupidity, one or the other :D
Just sold my 2007 manual V8 after 9 months of ownership, lovely cars but eye watering maintenance and repair bills, £660 tax a year and 14mpg around town. I sold it because there are faster more tuneable cars out there that are a fraction of the S5s running costs. It’s a quick car but it doesn’t feel that fast tbh

@@DarkSession6208 thanks for the response - not long after my comment, I ended up with a flat v6 x4M competition. Fast enough and it has a decent petrol consumption on the longer runs - commute from Birmingham to London. But I still have a soft spot for the S5. May go back to Audi after this car.
I had a saxo vtr when I was his age and that was a pain to run and insure. Judging by the state of this thing he also struggles to afford the running 😆

Contacted Calv 2 months ago, so only had it a month before deciding to make a move on selling it! Costing a grand a month just to insure and fuel it tho! Timing chain change would've blown the wallet completely.

Had a 2004 S4 avant with the same exhaust setup, mental loud. Watch out for crazy excessive oil usage, mine was using 2 litres per 400-500 miles, boroscope when buying one of these

I recently bought an S5 B9. 2018, 10k miles. In black. Which tbh for me is the only colour. Obvs it’s the turbo rather than V8. Absolutely love it. Had a S2 map and just front res delete and think they will do me. Drinks fuel, ins and tax high. But doesn’t half put a smile on your face. Plus I just think it’s just such a good looking car.

I’m 20 and have an s4 avant and also a 330i bmw. Insurance is £1600 in total. How this guy pays over 5k is beyond me.
To be honest Calvin is a great guy but taking that car out was insane, on a wet winter day. That guy is tweaking he is not right ! Your a father you should be taking that level of risk. Your also setting a bad example to young people who watch you video. Guy is clearly dodgy, he is selling a car with missing key and history and bald tyres.
How times have changed £39k with that spec now something equivalent would be over £60/70k ridiculous
