4:00 i simply connected a small empty box. it has a 1mm layer of sand and thats it. Took them 1 hour to use it correctly.
They got a nest, hunting area, and the empty box. This way they dont mix anything up.

Oh wow I caught the same ant species as yours! Hey D Colony why's my queen not removing her wings even though she has nanitics now?
Queens wont always remove her wings after the founding stage. Some queens have their wings until the day they die
Some queens just don't shed their wings.. Its pretty cool if you ask me... I have a Flavus with 1 wing
Sometimes the queen just doesn't want to.

I have a question were else can you house your founding queen ants?
You can house them on a container with a moist substrate buddy, though the downside is you will not be able to see the progress of your queen, you will need to wait if the queen can make it or whatm

You mean camponotus albosparsus buddy, that also come to my mind, it's common in south east Asia but there's no sighting of the said specie here in the Philippines yet, but it might be maybe just unrecorded yet.

How to catch a queen ant?
You can catch one in nuptial flights they began around spring and summer and also if you do catch them you must not disturb them and after a few weeks you should be expecting some workers if you have anymore questions feel free to ask!
