My favorite unstoppable is The Silver Shroud! Kent quest was fun to wearing the armor to be a badass! The only flaw of the quest is that there is a time limit to save Kent from Raiders. I wish Bethesda added a time limit with a clock on it so you'll know if you can save Kent just in time. Another flaw of the quest is the building it's in.
I won't lie, my favorite playthrough of Fallout 4 I've ever done is roleplaying Silver Shroud and picking up McCready and dressing him up as Grognak as we team up together to bring JUSTICE to the Commonwealth
I love the Mistress of Mystery after her quest line in F76, it's about the only redeeming thing in the game. It really sucks that there's no MoM themed mods for Fallout 4. I'd make one but it would require skills beyond my bailiwick.
Fun fact, Silver Shroud was based entirely off a real world fictional character called the Shadow. The characters are essentially the same, except Shadow never uses a gun.
I think this would actually be really cool to be made irl( not to mention make Bethesda a little money) as a lot of people really like comics as a media and they have potential for a really nice series.
If Grognak was an actual person in the fallout universe and dealt with mutated creatures before the bombs but became a legend I would believe it I wouldn't mind a spin off game based off him
This was something that really annoyed me in Fallout 4. They went through the trouble of making all of those covers, but we couldn’t actually read any stories. We can read books in Skyrim, but we can’t read the comics in Fallout. I understand it would be a little extra work to depict and write them…but just do it, lol. And Bethesda could make a killing if they released real life editions of these comics.
It's interesting that both Mechanists we encounter think of themselves as heroic characters, despite the comic having him as a villain. Just based on FO3, I had assumed the Mechanist was a hero, too.
The silver shroud class is my favorite in Fallout 4 I wish we could add more dialogue options while wearing the costume. Also if you like magical detectives look up Dresden files
I think the 'snallygaster-type beast' is actually supposed to be a winged serpent from Aztec style belief. I don't think they could breathe fire though....
Man, it would be cool if Bethesda actually went and made a few irl comics of these characters. I'm not talking about investing a bunch of money to make all them or their own series for each character, but at least make comics for three of them.
One of my biggest disappointments of Fallout 4 was the cut quest. I can’t remember if it was Ten or Twenty Leagues Under the Sea in name but it would have apparently featured an underwater Vault and those mutant dolphins as live enemies instead of just being beached corpses. There were indications of a harpoon gun before the Far Harbour version. In the game itself there are a few faint hints left over. The buoy never the Yangtze submarine was meant to be the fast travel marker from the quest. It seems like Nahant Oceanography building might have played a role too. There’s a mysterious system of pipes and structures crossing the sea floor that serves no purpose in FO4 as it is today. Indeed I speculate that at one point the underwater sections of the Commonwealth were once going to be important. Combine everything I just typed with how much of the map is underwater and the level of detail on the ocean floor. All of that had to be mapped and placed by the Devs and given that most players won’t even see most of it the effort seems like such a waste. That time and effort could have been better used elsewhere. The underwater sections of FO3 were very simple by comparison. Too bad. The idea of fighting mutant dolphins and maybe a few other aquatic enemies like mirelurks or Anglers-perhaps even ghoul whales with blades and harpoon guns would have been awesome.
Yo Norte, I love the video but you probably should’ve mentioned some of the PA skins from fallout 76 which tied into the villains/heroes from this, the 76 lite ally Xerxo who was the actor who played Captain Cosmos before he became a ghoul/went insane, how the mistress of mystery actress started a mistress of mystery crime fighting organization in Appalachia post war, the 76 lite Allies that are either obsessed with or impersonate the hubris comic characters, and the radio plays Bethesda has produced for some of the 76 seasons which are canon in the fallout universe. If you ever need footage/screenshots of them I’ll definitely be willing to take them for you, just lmk
Oh also another thing you should’ve mentioned were the various alternate weapons the unstoppables have which are shown through skins through the atomic shop. Their status in canon is unclear, with some definitely being canon while others are unconfirmed. Basically Grognak also has a Battle Mace (which is a super sledge paint) and a Guitar (which is a skin for the Grognak Axe). The Guitar is most likely to be canon as Bethesda made a brief ad for the Guitar during that season. There is also a Silver Shroud Skin for the Tesla Rifle and a skin for The Fixer called the Judgement of Set which is either Mistress or Inspector themed (it’s color scheme matches the Inspector the most). Also the Unstoppables may have all had sidekicks as 76 has sidekick outfits for all of them but I’ll double check some of their old season advertisements to see what they say about them
Likewise. And I enjoyed most of the Mistress of Mystery faction and quests in FO76 except for the end of the group and that it was made during the time of no npcs. I keep wondering how good the game could have been if all the original factions had NPCs and were a part of the game from the start.
I wonder if the classic DC superheroes existed in the Fallout timeline? Superman, Batman, Wonder woman. They all started publication in the 30s and 40s, before the time the Fallout world diverged from ours.
I honestly think Manta Man deserves some love and who knows maybe future seasons of 76 will focus on the heroes individually rather than as a group and with the volumes included in every season so far we might get a good idea of their powers and enemies.
I always thought it would be cool if they actually created a superhero for a larger side quest about the length of Cabot House. Maybe you find another cryogenic vault, or a satellite crashes down from orbit. Where you discover a superhero who’s been encapsulated since before the war. The story could be about uncovering their pre-war origins where they secretly fought for the US, or jogging them up to speed and helping them re-establish their old HQ post-war. Regardless, Fallout 4 and 76 had a substantial amount of proof to show that superheroes do exist to an extent with the likes of vigilantes inspired by Madam of Mystery, Silver Shroud, and the Mechanist.
Funny enough my favorite is Manta Man, getting to have a random encounter with a crazy guy who thinks he’s a superhero is pretty cool. But I wish they did more with the character. 3:26
Just visually, the The Silver Shroud reminds me so much of The Shadow. The only thing missing are the supernatural elements, but otherwise he's like a direct copy.
Loves me the fact that The Mistress Of Mystery refused to die in the apocalypse of nuclear radiation, and, instead, trained some excellent women into the role. Pity what happened at the end...
Woah, FO4 is ten years after FO3, so Chronologically the Capital Wasteland Mechanist is the 1st, and will be my favorite for nostalgia purposes, however playing through automatron as the Silver Shroud is the best
It would be cool if Bethesda or someone made a quest mod or dlc for the comic books. Some more silver shroud quest would be awesome. I also feel like Grognak would be a cool Nord character in the Elder Scrolls.
I use the CC Captain Cosmos. I've done Silver Shroud, Grognak, and Manta Man runs. Also Mechanist but once you can make Killer Bots it's too easy. The Black Devil is hard as he's unarmed. You can win with Pain Train and Iron Fist, it's just not my style.
The Mistress of Mystery is my favorite because of the 76 quest but I'm not a fan of the costume. The Inspector does look cool. I wonder if Nuka Girl counts?
Just who is the Enclave? Why, now, that's simple. The Enclave is you, America. The Enclave is your sister, your aunt, your friend, your neighbor. And, well, yes... the Enclave is me, as well.
I finished Fallout 4 playing as the Silver Shroud with that explosive Tommy Gun only on Survival Mode (killed myself about 100 times but it's funny to play the Silver Shroud with these unique gun!) and second as Grognak the Barbarian heavily drunk and dismembering heads of foes ... this was also on Survival and a pain because you cant ballistic weave his costume like Silver Shrouds but Silver Shrouds get upgrades so all Damage Reduction from Perks were necessary but hey i've crushed all kinds of foes bullrushing heavy on Drugs and Booze
Commie-Kazi is actually a fairly clever joke on the very obscure and very wacky communist ideology of Posada, he was some sort of ocean biologist who is deeply connected to Dolphins, and he believed that there's an Intergalactic communist society, who believed communism can only be achieved after a nuclear Holocaust destroys all of capitalist civilization. That should help explain the type of person he was lol
The Silver Shroud armor is alway armor of choice on any serious playthrough
Yes, very good for 'serious' playthroughs!
if only the same could be said about the silver smg.... why couldn't it have become a legendary after the quest too?

Pretty sure you can chem bench the MoM costume into FO4 via an Unstoppables mod.

This is VERY cool content to make. I enjoyed this tremendously! Didn’t realize how much I missed out on with the Inspector!
One thing that should also be remembered for the cover-only characters. Comics often have covers that dont fully relate to the actual story
I think this would actually be really cool to be made irl( not to mention make Bethesda a little money) as a lot of people really like comics as a media and they have potential for a really nice series.

Jim Butcher is a fantastic offer, I love the Dresden books
Looks like new character ideas, Drake Tungsten and Grognorok sound very interesting, and the inspector sounds like someone to play with nick.
If I recall that correctly, Maula the Martian Maiden is not a villian because she is avaible to join your party in Grognac and the Ruby Ruins.
I think the 'snallygaster-type beast' is actually supposed to be a winged serpent from Aztec style belief.

Quetzalcóatl.
There was one, Xiuhcoatl the fire serpent.

Dr. Strange predicted the outcome how Thanos will be defeated in the Multiverse. So it's possible the Unstoppables defeated Thanos. Lmao
