They have been around since 1996, they are in their early/mid 40's exept for Mario who's 38. Check out "The Art of Dying" studio version for Mario's drumming and the overall quality of the writing and musicianship of the band. Cheers from France.🤘
They are incredibly talented, they've been on my musical bucket list for ages. Had tickets to see them last September, but we all know how that turned out.
This was great! New subscriber. I love it when new listeners discover Gojira and especially Mario. He's a beast, definitely one of the absolute best out there.
They have written and performed some crazy good songs. Very unique and always interesting. Try "The Gift Of Guilt" or "The Art Of Dying" live or studio.
Gojira reactions are the new meta. Can't wait for more, hope you do Clone, Remembrance, Art of Dying, Oroborus....okay fuck it, I'll end up listing their whole discography. Whatever comes next, I'm excited!
Good selection so far. Came for the Nightwish, like what I see so far. Time for some "Killswitch Engage - The Signal Fire", "Falling in Reverse - Drugs", "Nightwish - High Hopes" (Pink Floyd Cover/Tribute) (live) & "Noise" (One of the new singles - The video is a trip). Hopefully you add those to your list. Quarantine & React!
I really miss going to concerts and enjoying music with other people right now, but this makes up for it at least a little bit. I know Gojira, but hadn't seen this video and I had some of the same reactions you did :) Also, that drummer... I've seen him live, and at times my jaw just dropped. Like someone else said: he is not human, he is so ridiculously fast and accurate, he must be a robot ;-) The singer (/growler) is his brother, btw.
The thing that makes Joe so incredibly accessible and different is that he screams/growls in pitch, and God love him for it. I'm jealous that you get to listen to them for the first time, man oh man what I wouldn't give to hear their songs again for the first time! Check out The Gift of Guilt live at Brixton Academy and Where Dragons Dwell live at Hellfest, both will blow your doors off.🤘
if you want your head melted, have a go at Remembrance live at The Link Alive. Probably the best metal song/video on the entire youtube. If you want the heaviest breakdown ever, i'd say Clone. (If you have a free hour, just check out the while The Link alive concert, it’s in 2003. Gojira in the old days had the most amazing guitar tone ever) My fav Gojira songs: (right now) in no particular order 1. Wisdom comes (live) 2. Remembrance (The Link Alive) 3. Clone (Studio) 4. The Gift of Guilt (Live Brixton) 5. A Sight to Behold (Live Vieilles Charrues) 6. Blow me away you (Studio & The link Alive) 7. Love (Live Rio) 8. Space Time (The link alive) 9. Silvera (Studio) 10. Art of Dying (Live Vieilles Charrues) Cheers!
Where Dragons Dwell is insane, the double bass goes on for like 7 minutes at the end, never seen anything like it. The Hellfest 2013 live version is the best to watch.
4:38 - Technically it's called scream. Many people tend to think that only the high pitched ones are screams but both screaming techniques, Fry Screaming and False Cord Screaming, have high, mid and low pitch screams. The low pitch is commonly called growl but it's still a scream. ; )

Bake your noodle time... This song is about Sleep Paralysis... literally the Heaviest matter that keeps your soul or essence in your body and not in the Astral Realm :) Flying Whales is about what happens when he got out of his body.
Lol great reaction. More Gojira reactions please. They're the best. Check The art of dying, Oroborus, The gift of guilt live at brixton, silvera etc.. Mario the drummer trains everyday at double bass for a long time. Best métal drummer in the world.
This always sounds so much better on the album... I haven't heard a P.A. system and/or recording equipment that can deal with it all well. Annoyingly, they didn't play this when I last saw them.
If you want the heaver shit by Gojira I'd recommend Remembrance, Deliverance (not many ppl made reactions to this one :P) The Art of Dying, Clone or Love
Just in case you want to dip a toe into some high quality brutal music, have a look at Dying Fetus: ua-cam.com/video/EP_dmD7x1kc/v-deo.html Or some lovely Grind by Wormrot: ua-cam.com/video/inzc4d8Hjno/v-deo.html But be warned, not every ear can handle the "dark side" of metal 😝
Yeah we're all enjoying it... When were able to listen to it, without a pause every 5 to 10 seconds. We know the song people watch reaction channels, to see newbies to the bands and songs we love react... So proper? Set up song and the band... Listen to the damn thing uninterrupted because there's nothing more of a cardinal sin since you pause during the middle of a metal song... Then, and only then... You Yapp about it and give your comments and review. Look at Dylan Caldwell's Channel... That's how you do it
It's really about time that you check out Jinjer. Don't do Pisces, please!! please no.Pisces for you, but do 'Teacher! Teacher!' or'Who's gonna be the one' (live)
Gojira is like circus. You don't go very often but when you do, you remember why you did.
lol disagree. This shit be my car jams
Legit the only band i can listen to
Bullshit
I’m with the other guys, these guys are my daily jams
I listen to them several times a week and I've been a fan since '07. Nobody else sounds like them
Mario Duplantier is one of the best drummers out there.
he's so fucking fast, but so fucking precise, it's kinda mind boggling
They have been around since 1996, they are in their early/mid 40's exept for Mario who's 38. Check out "The Art of Dying" studio version for Mario's drumming and the overall quality of the writing and musicianship of the band. Cheers from France.🤘
They are incredibly talented, they've been on my musical bucket list for ages. Had tickets to see them last September, but we all know how that turned out.
'The Gift of Guilt' and 'Backbone' live from Brixton Academy is Gojira at their best!
The main riff and the outro riff for “In the Wilderness” will melt your face off, that or “The way of all flesh”
The gift of guilt (live)
I don’t say this often but From Mars to Sirus is one of the greatest records ever released. It’s literally perfection.
This was great! New subscriber.
I love it when new listeners discover Gojira and especially Mario. He's a beast, definitely one of the absolute best out there.
You should check "Fleshgod Apocalypse". They are an italian symphonic death metal band.
"The Violation" or "Epilogue" are good songs to discover them.
Yes, I totally second this!^^
They have written and performed some crazy good songs. Very unique and always interesting. Try "The Gift Of Guilt" or "The Art Of Dying" live or studio.
i second the gift of guilt live at brixton academy is kickass
I love these guys. From France. They donate a lot of money to saving marine life and the ocean.
You should check out the band "Jinjer" if you haven't before. Most people react to the song "Pisces" first but my favorite is "Teacher, Teacher".
He's familiar with them.
Nah, no hoard value for sure
Yay!! What a great surprise! You need to react to Gojira - Where dragons Dwell live hellfest
Gojira reactions are the new meta.
Can't wait for more, hope you do Clone, Remembrance, Art of Dying, Oroborus....okay fuck it, I'll end up listing their whole discography.
Whatever comes next, I'm excited!
This drummer is a bpm machine. And he practice pedals for 1 hour every day. Or used to
Can I recommend some Alien Weaponry? These kids play most adults under the table.
React to L'enfant Sauvage or Explosia by Gojira.
"the drummer is gonna put holes in the drums" the song is about black holes , so that checks out :)
Good selection so far.

This song has been my favorite one from them since I started listening to them. SO FUCKING HEAVY
The thing that makes Joe so incredibly accessible and different is that he screams/growls in pitch, and God love him for it. Where Dragons Dwell is insane, the double bass goes on for like 7 minutes at the end, never seen anything like it. The Hellfest 2013 live version is the best to watch.

all hail to gojira
the live version is the best! even better than the album! it's nuts!!!!
Flying Whales please!
You are not ready for this dud e !!!

React to Gojira’s “Remembrance”...... Youll never hear an outro so tight anywhere else
This always sounds so much better on the album... I haven't heard a P.A. system and/or recording equipment that can deal with it all well.
Annoyingly, they didn't play this when I last saw them.
pls react to where dragon dwell 2013
Fun fact: Gojira are French,
and a drumstick is called baguette.
Listen to "love"
If you want the heaver shit by Gojira I'd recommend Remembrance, Deliverance (not many ppl made reactions to this one :P) The Art of Dying, Clone or Love
If you like those drums you should really give The Violation by Fleshgod Apocalypse a listen, that drummer is crazy
I like their live "The Art of Dying"
Please react to Lost Society - "No absolution". Really good Trash Metal band
*thrash?

30 seconds of double pedal is nothing. Try 5 minutes straight. Where Dragons Dwell live at Hellfest.
