Dude, I've been listening to metal for 25 years...slipknot has been my favorite band since before Corey joined...This past summer I saw Gojira open for slipknot. I have been listening to gojira every day since that concert, they seriously are on another level....completely stole the show, best yes, BEST live band I've ever seen. Hands down. I'll challenge you to find a gojira song you dont like! Seriously one hell of a talented band. No flaws.
Awesome reaction ! If you still need it: Translation of the end: "We would like to thank the "Les Vieilles Charues Festival" organisation (ps: It's not known to have metal bands in their programmation) to be so open minded and let us play on this stage (main stage) at this hour (ps: Must have been in the evening at a time when you schedule the most well known bands most of the time), and thank you everybody for staying with us, to accompany us, thanks a lot !"
In French he said : " thank you so much to the organisers for showing coolness and for letting us play and be programed at this time " late night " and thanks also to the beautiful crowd who stayed just to watch us
I recorded it. It got blocked last week. I'm waiting for them to respond to my dispute. They've taken 30 days to respond on all of the other ones from them. So it might be a while
At the end Joseph Duplantier says: [Faites du bruit] Make some noise. [On aimerait remercier la programmation des Vieilles Charrues de faire preuve de tant d'ouverture, de nous programmer sur cette scène à cette heure-ci et merci à tous de rester là, de nous accompagner, merci beaucoup ] We'd like to thank the programmation of the Vieilles Charrues (french festival which means Old Plows) to be so open, to program/book us at this hour. And thank you all for staying here, for being with us, thank you very much
Like stated here, this isn’t a metal festival, that’s why the crowd wasn’t very loud. I’m sure they enjoyed the hell out of it. The next one is a absolute must, Remembrance from The Link Alive. Basically anything from The Link Alive concert is pure gold. But i’d definitely start with Remembrance from that concert. It’s in 2003, and Mario already killing it. Cheers and i hope you’ll react to it :)
Pretty sure all he was saying at the end was giving thanks to the fans because from the little I learned in high school French was merci means thank you
Joe thanks the organization of this (French) festival called « Les Vieilles Charrues » to have them play since heavy metal is not the major genre there.
You have to check some old school gojira songs like remembrance or embrace the world from the link alive more death metalish but mario the drummer was only 22 or something at the time and he says make some noise , we would like to thank the staff of the vieilles charues festival to be so open minded and to welcome us at this hour and thank you for staying with us .
Can't remember if you've done it yet, but The Gift of Guilt is my favorite song of theirs. Live at Brixton has decent sound/video, otherwise, the studio version is great, too.
What do you mean by « It’s not exactly what I want to hear in a song » ? Hopefully there are bands & artists that keep on trying to wake the world up on how we destroy it/us year after year.
I mean what I said. It not exactly what I want to hear in a song. It's cool that they are trying to get people woke on their issues that they think are important if that's what they want to do, but singing about plastic bags is corny no matter which way you slice it. If this song was not as crazy heavy as it is, I would have no interest in hearing these lyrics in a song.
@Brant Hall if he's selfish then so is Gojira for preferring to make their art and do the thing they love instead of becoming politicians or engineers and working toward actual solutions. songs aren't going to stop entire civilizations from being careless or wasteful.
You should do Gojira - Backbone of Pol'And'Rock Festival 2018 if u want heavy, their full set is availible on their youtube channel, the whole set is amazing.
Dude check out some live performances from GaroRock 2009. It's imo the peak of Joe's screams. His range was out of this world. I would def reccommend Art of Dying, Oroborus and Flying Whales! Trust me u would not in the slightest chance be disappointed! (btw srry for my bad English)

Thank you
During the song : "est-ce que vous êtes toujours vivant ?" = "Are you still alive ?" .... He probably meant it :)
Gojira-From the Sky. It is sooooooooo goood.
To make it clear, at 6:59 when he screams he's actually talking to the public. The question was 'Are you still alive?' in French.
In French he said : " thank you so much to the organisers for showing coolness and for letting us play and be programed at this time " late night " and thanks also to the beautiful crowd who stayed just to watch us
joe has the best scream in metal

@Brant Hall notice you can't explain what it is? people with no response always use argument from fallacy
@@OnTreader Music is powerful way of influencing opinions They don't have to be in politics or be in engineer my friend. Their concept is enough. 🤘
@@Hoopsick imagine being so stupid you think talking about an important issue (pollution of the oceans) which actually impacts people is “corny”.

Black Peaks - Home!!! Its a must react, so so underrated, but the vocalist is phenomenal
I got to see them live in 09 no one knew who they was then. I got to be early on this train luckily.
