In case you don't know yr this the drummer is Mario Duplantier and his older brother is Joe Duplantier the lead singer if you want a performance where Joe is going all out i suggest where dragons dwell live hellfelst 2013 also includes a 4 minute double bass section
Saw them live and couldn't tear my attention away from Mario. He's the most passionate drummer I've ever seen. It's like he's out of his body sometimes. It's crazy.
I’ve been a fan of these guys since ‘07 and finally got to see them live last year when they were touring with Slipknot and they are just insaneeeee live.
Definitely check out the Art of Dying (live vieilles Charrues) also Remembrance The Link Alive concert in 2003, it’s i n s a n e, they were even tighter when they were young with an even better guitar sound, the whole The Link Alive concert is mindblowing. Iike i said, Remembrance, Clone, blow me away you, space time and in the forest, all from the link alive. You’ll love it. Cheers
This is one of my favourite bands.🤘 I would recommend a song called "L'enfant Sauvage" and the lyric video of it. EDIT: I mean the official video from their channel. I thought it had lyrics so...
Since you liked Gojira then I would like to recommend Mesuggah, Bleed and Clockwork (the drumcam-versions). Another insanely skilled drummer and a big inspiration for Gojira😀👌
Yea Mario be like : Hahaha Head goes SPINNNNNNNNNN ! His energy is so communicative, objectively one of the best drummer of all times ! The drums in Gojira feels like the main instrument of the band.
Lizard Skin, the filthy drop is the filthiest and holy crap. The guitarist (Christian Andreu) does the metalhead hair spin while playing and omg Jean Michel on bass. Mario always kills and Joe's vocals are epic. I love them LOVE. They give me all the feels. They are amazing.
There is a drum cam video of Mario Duplantier during "Toxic Garbage Island" that is stellar to watch if you want to see him for the whole song. GREAT video.
That energy is coming from all the heart they put in their music. Mario is a beast. I recommend checking out Pol’And’Rock live show and Pray @ RedRocks live performance. They’re amazing live and I still to this day listen to all their old stuff and their entire discography. Every album is unbelievable especially From Mars To Sirius, The Wildchild, and Magma. They just released Another World too which is a little more radio friendly but still has a heavy groove and the video is awesome!..
Oh shit man, wanna see a 3 piece that destroys with who I consider the 3rd best drummer currently? Russian Circles. 1. Mario 2. Danny 3. Dave (Turncrantz)
You can check out some of their early shows when they were young. Talk about energy. Try Deliverance or The Clone live... even the crowds are super hyped above the normal!
Where Dragons Dwell live at Hellfest 2013 is perfect for your next reaction, Joe's performance is so raw and intense, you'll love it, and the song is kick ass as well.
If you enjoy crazy drummers, I would like to recommend you Leprous. They're progressive metal, like Gojira, although much more mellow, but their drummer, Baard Kolstad is mad. One of the best in the scene, imo. He did a drum play-through for one of their best songs ever, The Sky Is Red : ua-cam.com/video/nj6fM2KpyOA/v-deo.html Or, if you want to see and hear a live performance, I recommend you Third Law or Slave, both live at Rockefeller Music Hall. The vocalist has a very very unique voice which might seem weird at first. I personally love it, but I can see how it might be off-putting for some people. However, he's very technically impressive.
Hi Hoopsick, have you ever listened Lacuna Coil? It’s an alternative metal band from my country (Italy) and in my opinion they are very good. I suggest you “Blood, Tears, Dust” or “Nothing Stands in Our Way" live in London
You might need to listen to Flying whales again indeed. Live it's amazing you'll see. Metallica have good tastes. Nice energy in your réactions. So many good songs by Gojira. Oroborus live, where dragons dwell live. Explosia music vid, Silvera music video, l'enfant sauvage, the cell, stranded. Toxic garbage island, remembrance etc
Thank i for your reaction, I think u should listed to Remembrance, Vacuity, Only Pain or Mouth of Kala, I wish u react to Where Dragons Dwell at Hellfest 2013, thank u and take care
Please react or at least listen to Devin Townsend, just about any song is insanely powerful. I'd say listen to deadhead or spirits will collide to get a taste of his music
Mario's on the best drummers on the planet there is no simple rudiments or patterns in his drumming. And one more thing oh, please don't be one of those channels that pauses every couple of minutes. 1 - introduce and set up the song 2 - Play the song... Uninterrupted. 3 - then you talk and analyze and state your opinions... Trust me that would be greatly appreciated by all, that's the proper way to do a reaction channel for music... Just saying. This is the first on your Channel that I've seen, I want to subscribe I really do but I have to check out if this is going to be one of those channels that interrupts every couple of seconds
... All right maybe next time. It's only 5 minutes into the video, and you stop right at the start of the bridge and for the second or third time already
No, Mario never stands up. Standing up is a gimmick used by certain drummers to divert the attention of the crowd away from their inferior drumming. ; )
@@chipk5468 I'm definitely not a noob I practiced music for like 13 years Compared to good song writers like Yani_Andrew Lloyd Webber _ Tuomas Holopainen and many more This is like a kids drawing vs an experts drawing
Kian hoo I definitely don’t understand your point. No matter 13 years of practising or not. You are a noob in metal not in music and that is a fact. Technically it is not simple at all. You can have extremely hard song in 4/4 and basic pentatonic. Go behind the drums like mario and let me smile.

Nice reaction. And welcome, you’ve just opened the pandora box. If you want epic, just react to “Where dragons dwell” live at Hellfest 2013.
try "Where dragons dwell" live at Hellfest. it's INSANE and WILDDDD
Great suggestion. If you want a brain melting exhibition of drumming endurance then this is the song

that bend note in the verse riff hits harder than my dad
Sorry, Thanos
Just wait until you see Where dragons dwell live at Hellfest 2013 xD
They’re drummer and bassist combo is fucking great, they compliment each other so well. They whole band is great tho 🤙🏼👌🏼

Lizard skin is another banger!
That drummer behind his brother is the centre of the energie wave that comes to you.
Flying Whales live from Brixton
This is one of my favourite bands.🤘

Ho my god i love this song live!
Global Warming live is dope"🤯
Great pick 👏 ! SILVERA is another fantastic one, official video or live : amazing
Gojira's Explosia, L'Enfant Sauvage, Oroborus, Silvera and Remembrance (live) are a must for all Gojira fans!
'I find it hard for 4 piece bands to bring energy' - Makes Rush otherwordly.
The energy you were feeling is just the overwhelming intimidation that is their music.
Could be so many songs with that note haha love it
So energy man👊

Oroborus Live in the Eurockeennes 2009, one of their best performance
You can check out some of their early shows when they were young. Talk about energy. Try Deliverance or The Clone live... even the crowds are super hyped above the normal!

Best live show of Gojira imo is Pol-and-rock 2018! Whole show is a complete banger! You should watch it 😁
A bit late to the party, but Gojira live is an experience. Check 'm out when that's possible again.
Great review man! 👍
Great reaction, great band & song ! As per below "Where dragons dwell" live at Hellfest. please. OR 'BACKBONE' 'GOJIRA".
French touch 🤗🇨🇵⭐⭐🇨🇵
I bet Mario got a little worried when they started it faster than normal, it’s already a pretty hard song on your feet
Behemoth - O Father O Satan O Son
something about Gojira keeps calling you back and its gets better & better w repeated listens !!!
If you enjoy crazy drummers, I would like to recommend you Leprous.

Funny how some of the best bands right now are from Europe. Jinjer - Ukraine, Gojira - France, Lacuna Coil - Italy, Opeth - Sweden, and so many more .
WOW! So much energy in this song! I love it! Thanks! 😊

Explosia!!!!!!

I don’t like these type of songs...just pure noise
Extremely simple
No noise at all. Lots of melody and musicality
Kian hoo simple? Noisy ok if you are a noob to this genre but definitely not simple.
