Float flying is some of the best. Man, what a magical few days that was! Very cool to be behind the camera and just document all you guys enjoying it so much. Very much looking forward to the next videos! Throttle On!
Moose are powerful swimmers and can cross every major river in Alaska including the Yukon. Once on my sailboat on a lake near Fairbanks, my wife and I returning to dock after the wind died in the evening, we're startled by a massive bull surfacing next to our boat. He had been on the lake bottom grazing on lake grass. Wooooosh!!!! I thought he was a dang submarine. My wife screamed as the sea monster surfaced. We laughed so hard.
Just a quick note, I've just recently stumbled upon your channel, and both you and Chelsea I hope will be an inspiration to my oldest granddaughter. She and I used to hang out at the local airport when she was a toddler; I later corrupted her, taking her on her first flight. She now will be attending a community college to earn her A&P beginning this fall. She hopes to learn to fly; I hope to contribute with my Cherokee 140 (with a 160 Hp STC and PowerFlow Short Stack). Thanks for putting these videos online.
Taking a late night canoe ride in the daylight lol. I don't know if I could get used to that but I'd try. The company that I work for has assets from the North Slope down to Kenai, all over. I've never been there though. If I ever go I have a lot of places that I'll want to see thanks to you. Seaplanes look like fun. Not much instrumentation... just good ole VFR. Well done!
Josh, been watching your videos since before I was even a student pilot. Now, with my MEI checkride coming up in a couple days, and the stress that comes with checkride prep looming, you manage to keep me motivated, helping me remember why I fell in love with aviation in the first place. Thank you for that, sir!
As always, wonderful flying adventure with unbelievable scenery. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Chelsea looks right at home on the water also. Josh, you two are living the dream for sure. Looking forward to part 3.
Lol!!! It’s so awesome The original in AK for sure! I wish I could hang with you guys sometime. Got my PPL in Texas in Addison KADS My home base rental 172 is FSM Ft Smith Regional. I was up training one day and heard Josh’s niner niner one radio call to tower. Was a stop to Osh he commented back to me That’s another place ive got to attend!
I love your videos! I work the back country a bit, but Float plane flying is real off airport back country fun. This really makes me want to go out start flying float planes!
Thank you for the video. As I battle the C19 'thing' gives me someone to watch and enjoy. My first float plane trip was in Maine 50+ years ago. Flew into a paper mill cabin / lodge. We also saw a moose swimming across a lake. One of the best fishing / trips in books. Take care - be safe.
There is something about you and Chelsea that says that the USA will be okay, that there may be differences but none we can’t overcome. I like Chelsea very much.
I think I saw you guys on Larson lake and heard you. Was watching your video and y'all voices sound familiar.. I am from Utopia Tx. just S W of San Marcus. Bought a summer place up there and got one of my Super cubs up there in Willow. Flew the SC up there all summer! 1st year up there. Awesome. Thanks for the video. Also did Alaska floats and ski's back country school a few years ago. Did you guys get Don to fire up the pizza oven?
Watched this on my living room TV and some parts were really quiet while others were really loud. Like When he would push to talk on the radio. Josh I hope you normalize your audio a bit better for part three. Looking forward to it.
All Audio tracks were completely normalized on the dB across the video to -2 dB, but the radio was very over-modulated in that airplane, so it makes it sounds very loud. Some smart TVs compensate with volume based on that modulation, and it's annoying. I'll see what I can do in Part 3 to alleviate that. Thanks for the feedback!!
1. He did not spoil 23U panel. That’s been out for a while. 2. The amount of comments about Sarah or Chelsea is just kinda uncomfortable. 3. If you don’t like the videos, just move on. It’s really not that difficult.
Josh. I’m a huge supporter and fan. I “Like” everything you do and watch most of them many times. I learn a lot from you. BUT, you tout yourself as this professional filmmaker and you can’t even manage your equipment? This is not the first time. Your audio often sucks outside of the plane and often in it. Your Aviation UA-cam colleagues regularly post great videos with high quality and great audio, yet they don’t claim to be filmmakers, and they don’t have as many screw ups as you do. You are a great pilot and instructor. It’s clear that you want to be a videographer/filmmaker. But please learn the craft and become a practiced expert before you add that in your credentials and intro to your videos. You are not yet a filmmaker, but you are getting there. I offer this with love and respect.
Now teach them to identify a front window, you know, the thing to look out to see where you are going, instead of being obsessed and distracted and exterior blinded by their black dial instruments and ADBS enabled tablet and GPS arrow and radio. I can't tell you how many pilots I've taken a ride with who at some time stopped looking out their window where they were going. As an aerobatic quad copter pilot, if I take my eyes off the front view, I crash. Why are you looking at a moose. Forget the moose. Keep your eyes on the road and where you're going....

Again it was an awesome experience like 2 years ago and Chelsea had a great smile on her face. See you on the next one.

Another great video brings back memories of my float training, Would love to visit Alaska, thanks for sharing.
Love these vids! Amazing job Josh. Congrats on all the success.
Awesome video, I’m looking forward to attending that float course once I finish up my PPL up in Fairbanks. Definitely a bucket list item.
Get well soon!
Hope you get better! Also this “flying into a paper mill” I hope you don’t mean you crashed straight into its side don’t ya?🤣
FANTASTIC IMAGERY ! I love those approaches thru the trees to a glass smooth landing! Great Video Josh & Chelsea ! Merry Christmas to you both !
Took me a few months but now up to date, great adventures.
Love it Josh, looking forward to the next video adventure.
Ran into you at Berry Aviation a year ago -nice to see you do the seaplane thing! It's my favorite kind of flying!
Thanks again josh! Love these videos and all your content!
What a fabulous way to fly in such a beautiful part of creation. Thanks for the excellent video.
There is something about you and Chelsea that says that the USA will be okay, that there may be differences but none we can’t overcome.
I like Chelsea very much.
Can’t wait for the next one 👍😀
Sounds like a perfect place and group to learn seaplane. Great to see Sarah even for a second. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
This is awesome! So much fun!
Sarah on radio at 28:50
Awesome! thanks for taking us on the adventure!
Awesome. Wish I was there too.
Outstanding! Right on.....
Simply amazing - wow.
Perfect relaxation video!
nice video THANKS
Another great video, nicely done!
Not Josh spoiling N2423U's new panel at 32:32
The cat has been out of the bag for a while.
Way COOL!
Amazing series, I think you created a story that started two years ago with that video at the same place and that story continues here!
We were in your neck of the wood during Formula 1 weekend!!
Sheesh. Finally!
I keep looking at the thumbnail for this video and keep waiting for the cat to show up in the wing root.
Great Video

Small world!
Wish I was there.
Yay!
squelch the radio! couldn't understand most of the transmissions
You’ve always got jamming music. Any way you could put the names of the music you use on the video?
Just wondering, if Chelsea is from Kentucky and you are from Texas, how did you meet?
If you coming to miami to teach let me know
Now that you've got that rating out of the way, next up should be the helicopter rating!

I’m noticing a little of that too. Just when comms are broadcasting it’s like 6 dB louder than baseline
Chelsea is the star of the show
❤️❤️✈️✈️
Question of the day. How long before Chelsea wants her rating?
Spoiler alert on N2423U!!! What does Palmer have to say about this?
it's no longer a secret, he was already showing it on the channel
Why is his Mike so loud and Static like on the Comm. Everyone is clear to understand.
Mr. Steal yo gurl
👍🇬🇧
Ahemm hm...... CCLEARRRRRRRRRR...RRR...RRR!

Seemed to have missed your recommendations…
