I enjoy always seeing the full picture and transparency when mistakes are made. It makes the story that much more authentic and relatable to how flying really is. I can't wait for more!
The ending brought tears to my eyes. Wasn't expecting that. Glad you made it through your check ride. How often do you need to fly on floats to keep proficient? Can you rent a float plane in Texas to stay current?
Bittersweet. This series was really awesome but I’m sad to see that it’s over. Congratulations on your seaplane rating it’s definitely on my bucket list. Can’t wait for the next video. Thanks for creating this awesome content. This is the best UA-cam channel ever!
Congrats. I just got my ses rating yesterday at Brown’s Seaplane in Winter Haven, FL. Ok I’m putting Alaska Floats and Skis on my list to take in the scenery.
Hi Josh, greetings from Argentina. The footage of your videos are simply outsanding. I guess you have a natural eye matched to the camera and exceptional edditing skills. I can´t think about how much time consuming it is. Those views reminds me of our landscapes from the SW of our country nearby the Andes mountains: the lakes, the trees the rivers and of course the mountains them selves. Congrats to your reasent new addition on your list of licenses. Cheers from NE Patagonia to you and Chelsea and my best wishes to both in this 2022. Blue skys!
Unbelievable Josh. You talk about being Speechless while flying with Chris the first time through Denali. I'm speechless everytime I watch your videos. Great job sir, truly inspiring.
Josh, Great job on the video. Congrats to all of you on passing the check ride. Always been a big Hobo Jim fan myself. It was get that you got to see him preform live. Seems like a great group of people and a great trip. I have only met Chris and he is a stand up guy. Good luck on everything you have coming up.
Thoroughly enjoyed this series. I love your attitude and in this series you brought back to mind many wonderful memories of my own well-being in Alaska. Thank you for another awesome series of videos. Cant wait to next one. Hope you will do something with Arnaldo and his Mooney again or somebody else. Love your series and one more time thank you so much for content what you are making.
Josh: Awesome series! I'm looking forward to your next adventure. Your videos are absolutely top-of-the-line professionally done and great to view. Wishing you and Chelsea good health, happiness, and prosperity in this new year.
Excellent video! Just added my ASES this past weekend. What an awesome experience. Now I want to go to Alaska and do a few lessons up there to just for the experience.
Brilliant promotion idea?!? Well I don't know if it is or not LOL. I watched this video shortly after watching Steve (Flight Chops) do the ocean crossing in a new Diamond DA62. I'm a big fan of Josh, Steve and Diamond! I think Diamond could/will be the direction light aircraft takes in the mid-future range, with jet_A/diesel. (I didn't intend that discussion to be here 8) I think the DA62, as a light twin, is a brilliant design at every level, and back!! I also think Josh does an awesome job with aviation videos! He touches on every form of light piston aircraft available, and is everything we could hope for as an ambassador for safety. As a product promotion, I would love to see Diamond give him a DA62, painted in the "Aviation 101 logo and color", to promote Diamond Aircraft, Aviation in the USA and Safety!! I have no idea what that would look like on paper, but I sure like the idea!! Just a thought.. JMHO.. 8) --gary
Your content is awesome and amazing. Great video and congratulations on your rating. Aviation 101 are now making some truly awesome inspiring videos. Great Stuff Josh! x
If you’re at the point of a “mock“ check ride you shouldn’t be getting much of any instruction from your CFI especially about simple things like back pressure and pitch attitude during takeoff…

Flying is not complex, but safe flying is.
Wonderful! I found myself smiling all the way through the video!
So True
Send a hug for Chris, what an amazing lad and friend
wow, alaska has such a beautiful nature 🥰🥰🥰
Everything about this Alaska seaplane series is perfect and is a very inspiring watch. Aviation 101 makes the BEST aviation videos.
What a beautiful setting.

Amazing video as always, Josh! Your way of storytelling is ever powerful. Your narration always brings joy to my heart.
The vistas in Alaska are unlike anywhere else in America!
"Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." Very true.
Josh, I’m enjoying listening to you, a CFI, verbalize your thoughts while preparing for your checkride the next day.
Excellent series! Just keep it going with more adventures and shared content. Thanks!
Josh, absolutely incredible ! Breathtaking scenery ! Amazing camera work! This one was emotional...
Love it! Studying ifr and float rating booked for June, 2022 is going to be a good year!

Watch out they still have a MAGA mindset thinking they're out of the FAA's long arm up there. No surprise given the abysmal accident/incident rate.

More wonderful content, thanks. Your video skills are soo much better than most UA-camrs.
Fantastic adventure. Fantastic presentation Josh. I would recommend any young person to check your channel out. Great work.
What is left in your training, multi-engine, and me engine instructor? When do you start your ATP training? Great series!
Congrats, Josh! Loved the series.
Hobo Jim! My cousin races sled dogs, and named his kennel (Wild and Free) after a Hobo Jim song!
Incredible series Josh! You made us feel like we were there with you..Congrats
Awesome job Josh! That was an epic series.

What an awesome series congratulations on your sea plane rating.
Congrats!
Well done!
Once you’re a seaplane pilot, nothing compares (flying wise)
Can't wait to get mine! What is the cost
? not to be critical , would it be better to grab the oar to bring the plane to the dock , thanks again for the fine videos
So everything is bigger in Texas, ... except Alaska?
Question: do you think you would ever put floats on 80991?
awesome video.
they are charging $5300 for ASES course? holy eff
You don’t “graduate college”. Your college graduates you.
Don't be surprised if Don Lee absconds from your checkride without issuing a temp cert for your student.
Are you going to move to Alaska? One word "WOW!"
You're going to have to defend CAR (antique) aircraft to the DPE at this establishment since Don Lee will milk you if you can't.
Don Lee is out to screw you so buyer beware.
Why do you call it a seaplane when it a floatplane? We in Canada have the largest float plane pilots all year around.
You can divide Alaska in half and have two states bigger than Texas...just sayin. :)
Your dock helpers didnt do you any favors either...geez
Pls, 60 fps!
If you’re at the point of a “mock“ check ride you shouldn’t be getting much of any instruction from your CFI especially about simple things like back pressure and pitch attitude during takeoff…
NOT a lot of Teaching Nor talking Aloud on saying…full pwr…. flaps up/down, stick back/relaxed… 🤷🏻♂️
