Cone area for 4 8s is 201 in2 cone area for 1 18 is 254 in2 so the 18 has more cone area so it will play louder and lower because the frequency will be lower as well so the 18 have the advantage here
@@Custom_Tundra_XFire_Audio if its wrong which i am not i think u should show us the right calculations let's all see the rubbish I mean information u going and post
@@CompactAudiodesigns different cones have different area like a pioneer 12 vs a sundown 12 pioneer has a more flat cone while sundown has it more cone like giving it more air to push tbh you could even put dust caps in the equation but a single 18 will be louder I had two 12’s and a single 18 build and the 18 was louder on the same amp
I'm currently running 3 8's in a 6th order BP and it pretty much replaces the 15 I had in the car before. The 15 definitely hits lower frequencies, but by lower..I mean 28hz and lower. Not a whole lot of music/songs I listen to with bass that low that I'll actually MISS. The 8's on the other hand rapid fire the fast bass with authority. I like how quickly they respond. Plus ,the enclosure/subs yeild a bandwidth of 32-100hz which makes it easier to blend with the front mids/highs. People still think I have a 15 in there though.
Bro I have 2 8 inch cts the new ones amd and pushing them with a 2000 rms and 2000 watt nemesis amp but your 1000 watt sounds wayyyy louder n better I like bass like that bro if can enlighten me what I need to do I would really appreciate it
Prolly only sounds louder cause it’s in an old ass hunker hatch lol. My Chrysler 300 has 2 sundown Xv3’s in it on a Taramps Smart Bass 5k and mazdaspeed 3 only has 1 resilient sounds gold v2 on a Taramps big boss 3 and it sounds 5 times as louder on the outside of the car cause of that terrible rattle. But on the inside of the car it’s a world of difference and the trunk in my 300 is built like a tank
1 its the car rattling 2 microphone distorting 3 its fun 4 low bass doesnt hurt your ears that much 5 loud mids and highs will destroy your hearing not bass.
@@puresesh7985 Obviously the microphone is distorting, but the car wont magically stop rattling when you hear it yourself and not through a microphone.
From inside the car you hear nothing but music anyways, so who cares the subs are put in for the driver yea? so it doesn’t matter about the rattles lol
@@obi-wankenobi9871 you obviously have never heard An Extremely Loud vehicle. When you're inside you don't hear any of the rattles. The bass is way louder than the rattle could ever be.
Just like when I was young. Car stereo systems that cost more than the car it's in 😀

Just because it fits.. doesn't mean it hits!
While in my case it does 1 x-18 v2 in my Jetta hits low hard and db's at 151 so at 2 ohm's 1200watts rms
Big difference here 18" is pointing up and 8" are pointing back and also hatch verses trunk
Jared Zenner yeah totally different subs and configurations but same power and similar output in the end

its the surface area of the cone that's the difference
glad my car doesn't rattle like that lol
What does it rattle like?
@@squadboitv6284 it rattles like a car that was sold 2 years ago

Sounds like a jack hammer, best bit of the video !!!!
You should've played them in similar vehicles or taken the box out and played them in the same car, since the wattage is the same.
Sick trunk rattle!
Should have tested with same songs for both setups with interior and exterior footage for both.
Hungry for Apples well these being quite different setups play at different frequencies, the 8’s are loud from around 35-45hz and the 18” 25hz and up
what was the dimensions of the 18 box? and what was it tuned too?
are u happy with the 8's? im seriously thinking of swapping my 15 out for 4x 8s

xD xD I'm dying man, Sound like a rear engine with a hole in the block xD
what about 2x12 ?
geez those 8s can pick up those lows
Where can i find a blaupunkt 18 online?
Time to spend money on sound deadening I have always stopped the nameplate rattle 1st
MR66HD the falcon actually has a decent amount already lol
You can't hear the license plate rattle from the inside. I like too see the look on the loser's faces when I'm rattling past them in their quiet cars.

Probably not getting full power , ohm load is high or amp rated at max and not rms

LOL @ the fire extinguisher!
Just put something behind your license plates... damn
are you playing diabetik edits? haha
His sub cost more than his fucking car😭😭😭
Haha up the ef falcon
Wrong song for it
That's not a real 18 in the back of the falcon dude, that surround makes it a 15 at best 😜
