Evan Warden flex doesnt matter, loudness does. a normal 18 inch car sub from a reputable brand like Crescendo for example will do 96dB on one watt(without calculating the space theyre in) compared to where these would do 106dB on one watt, and every 3 dB is about a double of sound(not 100% but close) to give you an idea. Sundowns have an even lower sensitivity meaning they need more power to get as loud
You could compare both of these to one 12 inch high excursion sub. These speakers may not have much flex but the cones are massive so it doesn't take much to move a lot air. Of course more excursion can move more air but if those things flexed like a "normal" sun it would tear that car apart.
alright i understand the difference but last year i was choosing between a PA sub and a Car audio sub for a smaller space i would be using it in and in quick fit small asf box on a tiny amp the car Audio sub was louder and sounded better then the PA sub now the car sub was using only 1 of its dual voice coils on 200 watts the PA sub is a powered sub with 600 watts on hand and even with the volume turned up the PA sub was about 3/6Db lower so please explain this the PA sub sensitivity if i'm not mistaken is 89DB-93DB and the Car subs is like 80-85DB max

Lots of people shitting on him in comments, honestly I've used 15" PA speakers for car applications and they sound pretty good usually. Don't expect crushing lows, but most music will pound.
+The Simpson Also stay away from Lanzar, Pyramid and Planet Audio. if you want something cheap atleast get a Rockville, thats where subs start to get somewhat decent
Not to sound like a dick, but any semi decent set of 12in car audio subs would absolutely destroy these 18s here. PA subs are cool for being able to fill in the low range of live stage audio, but when it comes to extreme powerful lows, it's not really what they do best.
In a sense you are somewhat right. Car subs are less efficient and won't go as loud with the same amount of wattage. But they are generally designed to go lower for their size and can be put in smaller boxes due to their excursion. But that large amount of excursion has it's disadvantages too though. The cone is harder to control because of the looser suspension and the woofer produces less articulate bass and is generally more muddy (unless you buy very expensive subs)
From the amount of distortion on the mic, you are able to tell that the tuning is high, mainly because they are pa subs which will get destroyed if you had the worlds worse 18inch car sub

To give you an idea, A Rockford Fosgate Punch P3 15" subwoofer has a sensitivity about 86dB, these probably have a sensitivity of 99dB or more together, meaning they would already go 13+dB louder on ONE watt, then again, these dual 18's are rated for 1200w RMS, a P3 15 for only 600w, so doing the calculations, let's say the dual 18"s sensitivity is 99dB, that means they would do 129.8dB in an open field, on 1 meter distance, on their 1200w RMS power, now that P3 15 on 600w IN an open field, so not considering that you'll get a shitton of decibel gain in a car, the P3 would do 113.8dB, if both are in flat boxes atleast, so ofcourse in a room or a car both of them will go A WHOLE SHITTON louder, that should give you an idea how loud some of these go compared to car audio subs, and why they're not shit, and why they're misjudged just by their looks, and i bet his double 18 thing actually does 102-103 decibels on one watt, so actually 3-4 dB louder than i calculated in here

I have 2 b&c 18” on a band pass custom box powered by a stetsom 3k amp and they hit hard asf I make all car alarms come on when I drive by and for mids I use a orion 2k 4 channel amp with a chuchero which has 2 prv bullets and 2 10” massive audio mcii mid range speakers 🔥
I use a B&C 15TBW100-4 in a vented net 96liters @ 35hz, powerd with 1,2kw its less a woofer, more a subwoofer. For that little box it plays lows very well down to 30hz. Wonder how it might sound like in a 130-150 net liter box.

No way this would never sound right.. your subs would damage because of the cab capacity being to low for the speakers. It was designed for big and open spaces to perform on its best. So when you put it inside your car it doesnt ventelate enough to keep the coil cool, meaning its gonna melt, or burn up, basically..
Up to 98 or 99 dB sensitivity is about the limit for an 18 vented. Two 18s will increase sensitivity to about 104 dB at 4 ohms or 101 dB when adjusted for power.
Hey Siri! not at that level, my loudest car did a 151.6 db. it ws 2 aq hdc3 18s on a 4500. and nothing really broke besides panels and and minor stuff.

i had 4 12's in a lincoln towncar, 1998 with a 3000w hifonics brutus monoblock, used 0 gauge wire. the amp blew 2 of the better subs and the sony xplod's lived (walmart specials). i sold the amp, i wish i would have just got the fi BTL 18 that the kid was selling with. he wanted 700. i should have just got that, those subs are hard to blow.
