    Thank you for posting this! Touchscreen access w/simple code doesn't work (they added a management page security phrase) but pairing the motion sensor process is still valid. Your tip saved me a tech service call out!

    Thank you this helps me. I sell this product over the phone but didn't know how it looked from the customer's point of view. I think some of the senors have changed versions but the home hub is mostly the same still.

    Thanks. Good video and very helpful. I was able to add new sensors without paying extra money for installation. I did learn that you now have to enter an actual technition code now but Xfinity will provide one if you call them.

      Exactly. They don’t know 💩. Training is beyond terrible. Half the time they don’t even know what you are talking about or what services they have. I’m not sure if you can still access this menu though. I think they changed it.

    I will be trying window sensors. I hope it's going to work. The concept makes sense and seems able to apply. Of all the research I've done, I'm concerned about the frequency. I don't know what frequency window sensor to purchase. I see them on the internet showing applicable for xfinity, but, there are too many unknowns.

    any idea how to clear the tamper trouble? I hit OK on the screen and it should clear but when I try and arm the system it won't arm because it says it's still in trouble

    holy shit man i bought one off ebay and comcast actually came out and he couldnt get pass the last owners code. lol. now HERES MY QUESTION i bought an extra monitor like you are using in this video and it was able to do all the steps you showed. comcasr says NOO. but i wanna put the extra monitor in my garage with the extra camera i bouhght off ebay. will it all link toghter if its on the same network?? so in the house id have the door sensors motion sensor and one monitor and camera.
    in my garage which i do have a cat 6 cable running from house to garage and the extra monitor and one camera. would all this work on one system??

    If I add 3 sensors, will I have to do this for each one? Also, I noticed your sensor is still blinking as you close the video. Did you miss something?

      Playday Rider yes. Every new device has to be added. Cameras, thermostats, sensors, power outlets and key pads.

    I even figured out how to connect my own cameras but i have yet to figure out how to do the window sensors i had to hold the button on the back of the camera for 30 seconds to reset then proceeded to i stall

    Hello, I have purchased a couple of these sensors and have tried to pair them to my system to no avail. They show up on my touchpad but when i push the tamper spring they do not pair. I have everything all laid out in one location so proximity is not the issue. Any suggestions?

      Kerry Slussar very difficult to diagnose your issue without having my hands on the sensor. If the touchpad is seeing the sensor it should pair. The only thing I can think of is maybe you don’t have them in pairing mode properly. Then again if you didn’t have them in pairing mode the touchpad shouldn’t see them. I’m not sure. My apologies. I’m totally clueless as to what your issue is. This may be a case where you might have to call out a tech.

      Kerry Slussar that’s good to know you got some use from the videos. Sorry I couldn’t help in this instance. I’ve been meaning to make a video for door and window sensors but the ones I have I’m having difficulty pairing to the system. So, I’m in the same boat when it comes to them.

    I tried to get XFinity to help me repair my motion detector (which tripped offline when replacing the battery) using their chat line. I had no success. They never offer the info about the pairings bottom. Their video on how to replace the battery said not to touch the spring connected to the pairing button. They kept suggesting they set up an appointment with repair man (at my experience). I followed these instructions. Since I was repairing a device that lost connection I did not get a new device notification.

      I learned that we now have to get a technician out to install door and window sensors unfortunately. This goes for the pieces of equipment that directly effect the security of your home.

    The video didnt work for me. I typed “a” in and it said incorrect passphrase. I played around with it though. It was frustrating. What was helpful was pressing that button after I removed the battery so thanks. I restarted the touchscreen and changed the batter again and it’s working. Also CR 123 gave me more issues so I will stick to CR 123A.

    Well apparently Xfinity has changed the procedures. Even after entering the code it goes to a new screen asking for the passphrase that shows up on the management portal. Which means without this information one cannot move forward to pair or repair anything.

    The 4321 works but the technician ID didn't. and now comcast is charging $60 for the visit. I can't stand them.

    That is not working anymore, Comcast updated the system so the passphrase has to be provide it by them, I chatted and they provided me the passphrase by phone. But still it is not finding the motion sensor. They want you to have a technician and charge you $49.95.

    I want to delete a door sensor but the touch screen is asking for a "premise passcode"

      Rob Carstuff go into that secret menu that I show you and in this video and in the menu you will be able to delete items. In the regular mode you can't delete items. Watch the video where I go to sensors and zones you will see delete etc.... if not I'll make a vid for you. Let me know.

      A-Dubb Productions thank you soooo much for this video. Perfectly paired my new sensor bought from Amazon. But like Rob what is the premise passcode to delete the old malfunctioning sensor? I am able to get up to the delete items but once pressed it asks for a "premise passcode".

      Yes I noticed. I was told by xfinity that due to legal issues to add equipment that has to do with the actual securing part of the system a tech has to do it. Now we can only add things like a thermostat, camera. Can't add motion detectors or door, window sensors because if people connect them wrong and they fail comcast could be held liale for someone's house being broken into or something to that effect. So, now we can't add certain items.

      Unfortunately not. I purchased a window sensor that was supposed to be compatible but was unable to pair it. I'll have to try again.
