- I made a reservation for a new Alaska restaurant 3 months ago and decided to turn it into a night out with my oldest son Hunter. We checked out some Anchorage Bike Shops and ate at Whisky & Ramen in Downtown Anchorage. Hope you enjoy a night out with us!

He amazes me!! Not my little boy anymore.
For the Korean pepper paste: mix it with some sesame oil, soy sauce, and maple syrup and then use that to coat fish and/or veggies (I like it on sweet potatoes and broccoli). You could absolutely use it to make a sheet pan dinner with some salmon and veggies and it would be great.

My boys are 16, 13 & 12 and it's has been such a fun season. Watching them find their own interests & passions is such a fun & joyful experience as parents. What a special day you two had!

Gas in east central IL was 3.89 today
it was so nice to spend time with Hunter. We don't see him hardly at all but what a wonderful young man he is. I loved seeing his face light up seeing the bikes and trying them out. As a mom, seeing that smile on our child just melts our heart. I hope he gets that bike soon and he uses his time productively doing things he enjoys and that make him happy. That is the life God wants for us. 😍🙏🙏

I have an e-bike and it’s the best investment I’ve made. That price was astronomical!!! You can get them for a fraction of that, maybe slightly more in Alaska but 10,000?????🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Those state quarters can be displayed in a little folder from the mint. I collected them all many years ago now. My sister bought the folders for me so I'm not entirely sure where it was she ordered them, but I do believe they were from the mint.. or whatever it's called in the states lol

Back in the day when they first started releasing the quarters, they had display boards you could buy to save them.

Gas is over $8.00 per gallon here in Kotzebue.
Glad Hunter has a plan now for the bike. Unless the savings is there, might want to revisit or watch for "last year" sales discounts. He could save up to $500 on a great bike. Normally May/June.

What a beautiful Spring day we are having - sunshine, poofy white clouds, a nice breeze, birds singing and dancing about - just wonderful. It's currently 69°F, but will reach its peak as the afternoon warms up to 76°F. A little too warm for me, Mark installed all of the a/c units yesterday, including the new living room a/c - which is really mine. Ahh... sunshine and cool air... the best of both worlds 🌤️
Before I start, I'll briefly tell you about the baby salamander tragedy that took place halfway through your video: Salamander somehow got into the house. Ash (cat) found said salamander. Ash ripped tail from salamander with murder mittens. Ash then ran off with the salamander in his mouth. Dad chased Ash, finally prying salamander from the jaws of death. Salamander and his tail given a proper burial. Ash whining for the return of his prey. Mom and Dad ignore the tantrum. Vet called. No worries, watch for drool, call back if anything odd happens. Ash finally gives up and crashes atop Maggie's bed. Maggie (dog) retreats to sun herself in front of the storm-door. Dakota (cat) sleeps through all the chaos. Life returns to normal. Oy 🤦🏼♀️

I loved those Mother and Son dates, still do, though fewer and far between. It's nice to see him spending time with Mom without the younger brothers... he needs these moments. He's growing into a handsome gentleman. Enjoy this time while it last. Precious memories 😊

Those chocolate blueberry bites look yummy. I like the ones by Brookside: Acia and Blueberry, Pomegranate, Goji and Raspberry, and the harder to find Strawberry and Passion Fruit, Blood Orange and Peach, and the even harder to find Cherry and Vanilla 🍒
When the State Quarters first came out, we collected them and placed them on the accompanying hardback map that came with the collection kit. We still have the quarters. I pray Bennett enjoys his adventure as we did. Keep us posted on which he's missing... we may have an extra. Yay!! Virginia!! Now, you need Alaska, Florida and Georgia 🪙
Currently, our gas prices are $3.01, the best price at both SAMs and Wally World ⛽
I greatly enjoyed bike riding with Family and Friends as I was growing up, growing mature, and still agile. Biking through the neighborhood, on bike trails and doing some fancy, not always safe, tricks/races (shhhh, don't tell my Mom) 🤫
Mark, Bry and myself enjoyed biking through the Williamsburg to Jamestown trails, the Yorktown and Colonial Parkway trails, and many others. My body doesn't allow for that now, but we did buy some recumbent trikes that we'll be getting out soon now that the weather is nicer 🚴♀️
That DinoCat on the Robovac was my favorite bell 🔔
I'm so happy that Hunter found a bike he likes. I pray he can get it sooner than later, and make new memories 🚵♂️
I have my favorite restaurants I tend to seek out, but it's nice to try something new now and then, perhaps find a new favorite 🍖
OMG... that meat case... heaven... due to Mark's allergy, I don't get a good steak, prime rib, corned beef, lamb roast or lamb chop as often as I'd like, when we go out mostly. I do however have a small stash for grilling and cast iron cooking. We're both omnivores, but when it comes to a good cut of beef or lamb, I'm 100% a carnivore 🥩
That restaurant looks really nice. If I ever make it to Anchorage, I'll definitely visit. Grapefruit soda sounds yum. The look on Hunter's face... priceless. The salad and ramen look delicious... where slurping your noodles is a requirement. I'll take my steamed rolls with beef, chicken or veggie please; and the dessert finale: sign me up 😋

You can buy maps made for the state quarters! I have a complete one for my son. They are fun! My son was born in 2000 and they started in 1999 with I believe only 5 state quarters minted a year. By the time he was 9ish we had a full map. Was fun when he got old enough to understand to hunt for them with him.

Your bank may have a coin display folding booklet for the coins. I got 2 at my bank when the state quarters first came out. I’ve collected them for my niece and nephew. Such a fun project.
I love me some Momma and Son date nights. My son, Mike, who is now 20 years old, and I do "dates" together, and they are so precious to us. Hunter is such a handsome young man, and he is going to be breaking some hearts down the road.

Hi Lauren. A great recipe for sun dried tomatoes is a pasta dish. Onion, chicken, sun dried tomatoes, Parmesan cheese. Mushrooms if you like too. Delicious with pasta folded in. Our petrol where I live is currently around $1.75 per litre. We don’t do gallons here. Lol❤

$3.19 a gallon in western KY. Treasure every second with each boy. My baby boy just turned 18 and graduates in a month 😳😢. In a blink they’re grown.
Love your videos. I am in GA and I filled up my gas tank yesterday. It was 3.23 a gallon at the station I went to. I have seen it at 3.35. That's what I paid last week.
There is a license plate app you could use to keep track of your quarter collection......and I just heard you say you found a check list. Oh well, I tried!!
