My Birthday is on Thursday March 9 I will 75 years old . I crossed country skied all the time when I was younger my favourite outdoor sport for me . I liked downhill too. Happy Birthday Lauren enjoy your birthday presents 🎁🙏🕊🙏🥰💞🇨🇦

I was born in January and that is a majorly depressing time or years. Except, I LOVE gray rainy or snowy days. I don't like to drive in that weather but the overcast days are awesome, I think. I do counted crossstitch, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, crafting and reading. Of course, you need really good lighting (and, in my case, good eyeglasses). I'm not an outdoor or sporty person because of my eyesight (and I was disabled about 8-9 years ago) but there's still lots you could do. Good luck finding your activities, Lauren!

I'm having the worst days of my life, I feel the huge wave of depression coming and drowning me it's been days in a row that I've only been watching You and your family since then, I haven't left my room and haven't eaten in days, but somehow I see you it helps me. I live in Brazil, my only wish was to go far away to another life like yours.
Praying for you
I used to have horrible anxiety and severe depression. I finally couldn't stand it, so I went to the Dr and he prescribed Venlafaxine (used to be Effexor) because it starts working sooner ( it takes a while for the drug to work). After awhile I was starting to feel some depression and my Dr added Busparine (Buspar). And this combo has been a Godsend!!! I didn't realize how good it was possible to feel! I've been on these for a few years now with no dosage increase needed. If I forget to take them on time any day, I start experiencing minor withdrawal symptoms as you have to be weaned off them. Years ago I stopped abruptly and it was terrible (I didn't know that I couldn't just stop taking them).
I PRAY that you will seek medical assistance as life is too wonderful to not be able to enjoy it. And the most wonderful thing is that with all the things going on in the world, I can hear all of it and not internalize it like I used to.
Depression is actually a medical condition so don't feel ashamed to seek help

I went to college in upstate Vermont. My roommate was a fabulous skier. The only time I tried on skis, I fell over and sprained my ankle. The funny part? I was in our dorm room!
Quilting is a great winter hobby. I recommend it!
I love quilting. I have not made a quilt in many years, editing has taken over most of my indoor winter hobby time.

Thanks for sharing this video. Watching it, I wonder if all these Alaskan outdoor activities would of made a difference for my son to be more of an outdoorsman instead of Xbox guru. If I was up there, you know what my thing would be!..snow machine! Due to my physical health issues, I can’t do what you did, except dinner after!🤣… but you made this a virtual reality for me. I can so relate to you being hesitant to ski or whatever. I have broke my foot once, broke my ankle once, dislocated both my knees at once, one knee I dislocated twice, & an old fracture on my hip, so I have that hesitancy & fear that I will fall. Your younger than me though. I'm almost 59.
We loved walking the Cross country trails when we were there our last visit in August. Actually were stsyingin a B&B douth of Anchorage and the hostess told us it was a great plsce to see Moose. And we did. 😊
So cool northern lights ❤ we went to Canada a few years ago to try and see them and we got to see them 2 times during that week we was there the first time was the best I seen out of the 2 times my husband has a hunting guide that gave us ideas of where to go because he is from the area so that helped ❤ that was a birthday miracle that you got to see them that great ❤

Everett seems to have adjusted quite well to his glasses. That’s great! You sold me on the kick sled, I’m going to look in my area to see who sells them.
Growing up in a winter climate I loved going outside as a kid sledding, skating, and building snow forts!! I am happy you found some new winter hobbies and by the looks of your trek out to the bus stop, your new kicksled will come in handy!! It is always fun to watch the family enjoy time together, everyone was having a great time-especially mom and dad with Everett tubing!!😄Just curious..are there many Scandanvians living in Alaska? I sure felt like I was in Norway watching you ski on the Nordic trail!🎿🛷My mother used to tell me that Norwegian babies are born with skis on!! Blessings!!🙏

as a kid I loved down hill skiing we did cross country once n did not like did hold my interest. I guess I needed the feel of the speed n zigging nnzagging lol
