Our Bryce Canyon trip got cut short. We were there last night staying in the cabins but left at 4 am today because the smoke from the deer springs wild fire. It was horrific. Our air quality index was almost 250. Anything over 50 is not good. All we could breath was smoke. Took us two and a half hours driving toward Orem until we got fresh air.

I went in January and it wasn't busy at all and you didn't need a reservation. I definitely recommend going to the mighty 5 in the off season.
Yes, off season is definitely best but unfortunately many can't do that.
