I've honestly learned more just from watching this channel then I have all the other channels combined. It's seriously that good. Bravo to you good sir lol
The only problem with Larry’s videos is there aren’t more of them. 😂 I’m always excited when a new one drops on my feed. Thanks for keeping the amazing content coming!
There’s something so enjoyable about seeing Larry be goofy lmao I can’t be the only one who thinks so... He’s such an incredibly intelligent, well spoken and professionally serious individual and seeing him light up some tires and let out good ol’ yell just should be a reminder to everyone to make your inner kid proud.
@@hoedemakerbart yep. Also the matte black hood was only available on Mach 1s in 69, not 70. Plus 70 Mach 1s have a honeycomb panel on the taillight panel, not matte paint.
Larry i am auto body man for the last 42 years , and let me tell you that you the best guy that i trust you with any car to work on. THANK YOU LARRY YOU THE BEST.
I have been watching AMMO videos for so many years and today I'm proud to be one of AMMO subscribers. Larry you are different and among the top 5 detailing guru in the world. You should open your own training centre one day and I believe many people's would like to be your student. Great job Larry 👍
Also wanted to add a HUGE thank you for explaining how to work with the flat paint. The fact that reflex can be used to protect it, but not add too much shine is Awesome!!
Larry you made me.chuckle when you cut.to the classroom for the explanation of how to detail matte black paint. It shows me how dedicated and nerdy you are to your profession. ( i mean that in the most positive way btw). Sharing your knowledge to your followers sets you apart from others You are not trying to sell me products, instead you are educating me in the art of car detaing. Bravo! I read somewhere that “total immersion” is the key to happiness. Everyone’s got a theory. Either way it’s a good days work. Thx again for your note :)

Hi Larry the mustang in this video is actually a 1969! The 1969 has quad headlights, side scoops and had separated tribar taillights (the last one until 2015+) in 1970 they went to a dual headlight setup, replacing the outer lights with a slotted grille. the side scoop was removed for a sleeker look and the taillights were recessed into the taillight panel!

Absolutely loved this video Larry. It reminded me so much of your old school videos of just you, the car, the camera (and the whiteboard!) and teaching us as much as you can in a single video. Thank you so much!
This brings back memories. My first car in the states was a 91 Mustang. Later I had a 69' Mach 1. I bought a house for the garage and miss that sexy beast every day.
The joy on your face with that first little pull was awesome! I know that feeling of driving a car you owned or one close to it all to well, it’s like meeting up with an old friend after years and years apart and picking up right where you left off. I built an evo 8 years ago, unfortunately sold it, and just got to drive another one a few weeks ago. I’m happy for you brother, keep cranking out the content, these old mini restorations on the classics are 🔥🔥🔥

Really love the channel. I always try detailing my own car but have never gotten to polishing it properly due to lack of equipment in Namibia. Thanks for all the help
I have the exact same Mustang, color and all. I feel like your cleaning my own! I had to poke my head in to my garage to make sure it was still there!! 😂

Just got my first truck at 17, a 2002 Silverado. Low miles fantastic condition, and I’m excited to clean my interior and exterior and learn how to keep her looking clean.
I have detailed many personal and family cars over the last 20 years. One thing I find that works great for short pile and old carpet it using an Random Orbiter with a hard polishing pad. If you press it on the carpet using only enough force to stop the machine from spinning, the vibrations it gives off help remove sand and other fine particles with a vacuum.
That plum AND matte black? Stunning paint job and EVEN MORE stunning restoration! Super nice car and outstanding work, as always. Thanks for the video!!
I had recently polished and coated my 1970 boss 302, it was really pain in the ass, because of the single stage paint and paint thickness you must really carefull what you do, the polishing stage where fine, and like the video said switch pads or clean them as much as you can, otherwise you going to create swirls,, I made a huge mistake I finished polishing and then i coated the mustang with 2 base layers and one top layer, and with the last one I used a different microfiber towel to take the residu away creating scrathes it was really painfull at the moment but a great learning moment, i measured the paint again and luckily i had some room left to polish the scrathces away, but in stead of coating again I went for a spray coating spray on and rinse off its not that great as a coating offcourse but for a few months it will help! This video helped me a lot to work on a old mustang, normally I work only with bmw's and the paint is really hard and easy to work with in comparison to a single stage soft paint!
Awesome video Larry!!!! Love these cars and your attention to passing on us your knowledge to us. Love that color, had that for my 87 GT hatchback 2 tone with silver.

If you want to apply and let it soak a little bit with something like the IPA you should apply to the blue kind of shop cloths or paper towel.
