I actually know Pam personally, and I am so glad to see this video. I've heard so many good things about this car and who she sold it to from her and this is such a beautiful tribute to such a gorgeous vehicle. She made the best choice for someone to bring this car back into the light and life again, from what this shows me. Thank you for this video, it made me feel so many things! Looking forward to a follow up video for sure!
She seems like a really sweet person
I would love to have the ford ltd
@@gwaddles She really is. A good person all around!
The LTD looked pretty nice. I'm surprised they didn't bring it out while the wall was open.
Please give Pam a nice big hug next time you see her, from all us who enjoyed this video so much because of her!
I got emotional when Pam said, " It's like letting a piece of him go. "
Phil. Lives forever in the soul of that car. He will ride again. ♥️♥️
My late cousin had a 70 Boss, these are some of the nicest Mustangs Ford ever built, what a beauty.
God bless Pam for letting her husbands car go to a new loving owner. That’s a tough thing many can not do. Beautiful Mach I!!! Enjoy!
I just want to give Pam a big hug. God Bless her.
Should get the Escort EXP out for Pam!! SHINE it up, back out on the road, a BIG thank you to Pam.
The Greatest Respect goes to Pam! Getting the car back to where her husband wanted it to be,and the public can enjoy it .thank you PAM!! You are a beautiful lady
What a sweet caring lady very proud that someone will take care of the car so her husband's memory will live on
It’s going to be sold off for a profit lol
S.O.A.B.!!! I don't know what the purchase price was, but this has got to be THE nicest cleanest barn find Mustang I've ever seen. Joe now owns an original survivor. I pray he does nothing to it.. except work done for safety reasons. Jerry, another great one!
Excellent guys, truly is like finding gold. I can appreciate this, with much respect. Hallelujah 🙏
As a previous Mach 1 owner , it’s a stunner .
I have such respect for someone who will not destroy this timepiece it is almost perfect as is as far as looks just preserve this and enjoy
Thanks for saving a family.
That’s probably one most beautiful mustangs I’ve seen. That color is gorgeous! Congratulations
Seriously one of the best "barnfinds" I've seen.Dont do too much to it is what I'm hearing. A true survivor!
I'm glad that this Mustang was stored INSIDE, in a solid building, not on DIRT. This has to be one of the most solid rust free barn finds I have witnessed!
Wow... that's the first "barn find" mustang I've seen where the rear spoiler is in an actual position where it will work as a spoiler. Nice car .. wow.!!
greetings from Scotland! ...car looks great....some soapy water and a hose transformed it....being ticked away in the garage there certainly preserved it...look forward to seeing it driving on the road!
That car cleaned up SO WELL. Wow. Polish it up, clean it up, and drive it! It's beautiful enough to be a nice car, but not perfect enough to where you're afraid to drive it all the time.
I about fell out of my chair when you said Ithaca MI. I have lived here or in the immediate area all my life. Its the definition of small town USA. I have seen first hand what is inside some of these old barns you find in the county. Its so cool to see such a treasure pulled out of one. What a cool story and video. Thank you for taking us along.
Picturesque, watch for this in Motor Trend online in a few weeks and in Hot Rod in print later on.
It’s great to see such a great car restored back to life so it and its historic legacy can live on forever.
Definitely would like to see this on the road. Please keep us updated once she's road worthy. Great find and story.
Wow! Just Wow! To see one in that condition after all these years is just incredible. Pam seems like such a wonderful gal, so sweet of her to let us in on some of the story.
Exactly.
*Who new Burl Ives was into cars? Great machine.*
Can you only imagine what this would bring at auction, not that I’d do that, but WOW!
@@robhawthorne6892 so only about money greedy bastard
Joe, I am so happy that you got that Mach. I knew Phil and I know he is smiling!!! There is no one with a bigger heart than Pam!! That is the quality of people around our small town of Ithaca.
Beautiful thanks for film it and let us a chance to see it.
Enjoy your car
i would consider that car a true survivor. well done sir, a real head turner.
I cried when Pam got emotional. The best of the best guys.
DB
This find is made so much better with the stories she told as you were getting the car out.
What a fantastic car, and a fantastic story. Pam was a gracious host ... Congrats to everyone. 👏😎🇺🇲
Beautifully preserved interior
If that was my car, I wouldn't even restore it. I would make sure its in running and driving condition. You simply cannot replicate a survivor.
Absolute legend!! The memories she has with that car!!
It is good to see old iron brought back to life instead of horded until it turns to dust. I am sure it was hard to let it go, but it can now go make new memories for others.
My Dad had a Mach 1 and this car was the spitting image of my Dads! Thank you for posting this wonderful story. Gosh does this bring back memories! I too remember these whipping back when my Dad “got into it”! Really fun!
Very cool!
Great story. Great to see car is going to the right person.
I think that is my favorite classic Mustang hands down. So much about this car is prefect. What a find!!!
I know this car is in the Best Hands, Congratulations and Enjoy it!
So cool to see these still to be found. That will be stunning when all tidied up and driving again. Hope to see a follow up!
That's the plan!
@@thewriter2549 Yes definitely keep the follow ups coming. Looking forward already to seeing what Pam will think of it all!
@@thewriter2549 Sorry to bother you but it seems like you just send me a message that I want some prize let me know if this is a scam from somebody else I think it’s coming from China or Russia not sure but if this is legit please let me know thank you so much and God bless you ✝️✝️✝️
@@loveofchrist5808 so sorry, that is somebody that has been attacking my channel. Please everybody let me know when this happens. I go in an click on "hide" this person from the channel.

Its so nice to see these old cars get rescued
WOW !! What a BEAUTY !!
Man! The excitement of taking the side of the barn off and the car seeing sunlight for the first time in all those years!!!! Wish I could of been there!
What a story, and what a car! The red on red is a beautiful color combination.
Man that car is in INCREDIBLE shape!!!!! 70's are my favorite!!!! Dry ice the bottom and go through the drivetrain and enjoy it in nearly original condition!!!!! 😍😍
I am Glad to see the owner make sure this car goes to a good Home instead of a
" Profiteer ".
Best Wishes from Montana M.H
God bless you Pam I'm so happy that you'll be able to see the car and probably even ride in it after it's fixed up that would be fantastic.

That will be a awesome restoration. Beautiful car. 428 Cobra Jet Thanks for sharing.
I bought mine off the showroom floor back in 1969. What a joy it was to drive. Same red color but black inside.
Holy Shift. That interior looks brand new 😮
I'm glad she sold it to someone who would appreciate it instead of just letting it rot away . Awesome lady❤️.
And it's in my favorite color!
It has already been rotted away and run into the ground, to restore that car back like new, would exceed the value of one that has already been restored. Why don’t you people ever get it?
Damn ... that thing look good cleaned up. One of the best I’ve seen in a while
Nice car , best barn find I’ve seen .. happy days ahead 😎,🇬🇧
The car takes me back 50 years. What a beautiful car and a lovely story to go with it. Pam you are a beautiful person.
Great story and a beautiful car. I just hated not seeing it taken to a professional detailer. Someone who has the right knowledge and product to use could really do wonders.
What a great story, please keep us informed on the journey
WOW!! 2 -Mustangs we're my pride ♥️
You could see how much she loves that car reminds her of her husband and the time they spent together in their life that’s what I mean by the barn holds nothing but family memories
Great story and great people so happy the new owner is including Pam on the next stage of the cars life! Amazing how well the car cleaned up after all these years!
Aww Pam you’re a gem!
Beautiful wheels ❤
What a beautiful mustang 🐎🤩
Isn't it beautiful to find the car your dreams and give it a bath after all those years... I was always my most favorite thing finding a car and cleaning it and washing it,,, Bringing it back to life again,,, What an absolute gorgeous and phenomenal Mustang a 4 speed..
You need to take that kind lady for a nice ride after you get this beautiful car running again. What a find!!!!!
A great story and video. I could almost feel your tears has I believe that your passed loved one was right there with you with the biggest smile and his heart full of joy and pride knowing that his “Red Baby” was coming back to life with some good folks. You chose the right folks to sell this beauty to. You all are blessed...
That Ford Ltd in back of the Mustang brought memories back to me. My father bought a car just like that from a older couple that was in mint condition when I was a teenager. My father loved 😍 that car; we all did. Ford LTD classic, that car probably has been in that barn just as long as the Mustang and probably is also in mint condition. Whoever buys that car is going to love it.
That looks really good! My 1st car was a 1964.5 Mustang. My Grandma bought it new when she lived in Belair California, she moved in with us in 1968. We lived in the burbs of Chicago. I took over the Mustang in 1976. It was my 1st car, boy how I loved that car!❤️
Great present for a first car!
I like the way u washed the car. U took ur time. Not like other UA-camrs, they just pressure wash it and ruining some parts accidentally. Well done 👍
Yeah, much better to take your time , rubbing all the abrasive dirt around on the paint with a rag. Ever think there is a reason a pressure washer ( touchless) is used so often and why there are touchless car washes that use high pressure water. It doesn't hurt anything but does a much better deep cleaning.
Wonderful save. Congratulations on your purchase. Can’t wait to see it running and/or restored, or driven as is
My dad had a 1970 mach1 4 speed with a 351 that was destroyed in a fire... Last year I bought a 1969 428 4 speed in raven black... I can't wait to make memories with him and my kids when I have them!
Glad Jerry was there to video document this fascinating story, which itself is now part of this Mach I's history. It cleaned up beautifully. Great automotive design is timeless as this car proves.
What I wouldn't give to have that car or get lucky and find one in a barn like that! Amazing! Man it cleaned up beautifully!
Best car show on UA-cam or anywhere! I love that you focus especially on rare musclecars!
My goodness this Mustang is the real deal , what a beautiful car
Thanks for sharing this original barn find and this authentic piece of American History. Enjoy every second of this beautiful muscle car.
What a beautiful car. Man that thing cleaned up nice after all those years.
yes, amazing Mach 1
Ford and Farmall! I would have gotten along very well with this man. And his wife what a sweet lady! Man I love seeing these type of stories and finds. Nice people for sure.
You and me both!
Wow that Ford EXP is a cool find as well. It's getting hard to find obscure 80s cars in that good a shape.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SURVIVOR !!!!
That is a wonderful moment in life, lucky for you guys, blessings to all of you.
Great Video on a Great Find...but just for fun, to my knowledge, FoMoCo never used an Acrylic Enamel on production cars. They used and perfected the use of a Red-Oxide primer under all colors [even a few parts like differential center sections] with an Alkyd or whats known as a Synthetic Enamel. Old timers called it "Straight Enamel." They achieved the gloss, flow, and durability by baking the fresh paint at nearly 160 degrees. Once again, Nice Car. And I wouldn't restore that survivor.
Acrylic enamel is the term that I've heard famous Mustang restorers use for many years. I've never heard anybody say synthetic enamel.
@@thewriter2549 Although Sherwin-Williams was working on pioneering the chemistry for their new Automotive-style Acrylic Enamel by the late 60s it wasn't released for use until the early 1970s, in some areas not until even later. And Poly-Iscocyanate catalysts were not perfected or available until the late 70s to early 80s. Also, a non-catalyzed Acrylic Enamel would not work well with factory-type baking systems either and a respray could be a disaster that led to the car being crushed and tax-credited. Moreover, the all-new "30-minute paint" [Acrylic Enamel] could not be hotsprayed. GM however did release Magic-Mirror Acrylic Lacquer in 1962 replacing their old-style nitrocellulose-based paints.
Always had an appreciation for old cars, especially Ford's, they're my favorite and consider myself a Ford enthusiast. I don't make enough to aquire anything like this in decent shape, I have owned a few rarities which I loved and restored as best I could slowly, piece by piece, some were pretty far gone. None were my top favorites, but I loved them all because of their uniqueness. Some were cool in ways people didn't even realize. Turning heads with my SHO Taurus's motor sound or cruising in my Thunderbird super coupe, or my 85 Nissan Z31 always put a grin on my face. Was an absolute blast. Really hope he understands what he's been blessed with, wish we could all be so lucky.
Love the story and the car. Family first. He will love it.
She's a sweetheart of a lady. Her husband had good taste in cars and women
This car is a time capsule find of a life time. Absolutely incredible. It’s every persons dream to find a car of their dreams. Cars are more than just vehicles we car enthusiasts have they are part of us in every way. It’s who we are. Can’t wait to see part 2 or 3. Great video
A lifetime where it sat 4/5ths of its life stuffed in the back of a barn.
I love these videos. Just good people and a killer car. All Pam has to do is wait until the Mach 1 is cleaned up and restored a little bit and then the waterworks will start flowing when the memories come back. Very nice lady!
What a sweet lady, i just wanted to give her a big hug when i see her have to take a breather once the car came out of the barn!
What a beautiful find!
Beautiful Mustang!!
From South Carolina.....Ms Pam.....Bless your sweet heart! A true southern soul displaced in the north. No that’s not right. She made me tear up! Hank you for sharing 💫⚡️
Wow. I enjoyed this video. A great find. I was an engineer for Pontiac from '70 to '80. Loved Firebirds and GTOs. But always had a place in my heart for Ford and I love the Mustang.
Very cool!
*PAM!*
She's the star of this episode, hands down. The decision to sell the Mach 1 must have been so very
difficult - as will the other machinery to come, no doubt.
You do your late husband great honor in finding proper stewards for the car, etc.
God bless you and yours!
*JERRY!*
The dignity and respect with which you present these stories of the cars and the people associated
with them is a RARE thing in our society these days - so as always, *thank you* for sharing them all
with us and I wish you the safest of travels until the next one, sir!
-Ed on the Ridge
That lady’s a little cutie.
Thanks Ed, appreciate your feedback very much.
What a beauty... he deserves to be shining again. He is crying for some love.
Heart of the light I just loved it was like I went with you like on a treasure hunt.
what a piece of gold
What a beautiful car and I love your videos. My only complaint is, I wish you had more videos. Always great back stories. Would love to see someone help Pam get her car out of that barn and help her get it running and driving, so that she can enjoy it again
Or she might be reminded of what a throw away crap box it is.
Not gonna lie, this one brought tears to my eyes. Great story, and the fact that car is in my top 5 dream cars. Thanks for this.
A magnificent find
That was incredible to watch step by step telling its story ! I am now in my late 50s a guy had a bright yellow Boss Mustang Mach 1 ( Phill Oosley) apologise if I got spelling wrong , I would here it come past our school with that V8 burble . We would cheer him on and he would floor it for us lol . I live in the UK 🇬🇧I’ve been into cars all my life ever since I was a toddler my dad and brother too . Your a lucky man Phill 👍🏻✌️👏👏👏👏
Thanks for the video. That Mustang cleaned up remarkably well.
It’s in a lot better place now than sitting in that barn, at least it can be cared for & taken care of now. It’s never good to let a vehicle sit, but thank goodness it was kept inside. Or otherwise it would’ve been rotted away by now. Good Barn find 👍and looks like it’s going to a awesome new owner who will give it the TLC it needs.
As long as you can keep the moisture off it and the mice out of it, a car may last many years. Of course all the rubber may have to be replaced, hoses, belts and suspension and steering bushings.
WOW!! Did that clean up! Beautiful.
We need an update on this one Jerry What a great car. Keep up the good work my friend. Thank you for documenting these historic vehicles.
Really great story. Thanks for sharing it with us all
This color combo and this car is my dream car, I am so happy this guy got it and gets to enjoy it, don't even know the guy and I am super happy for this man, congratulations brother
