Gelty is great fun and gets super OP! Make sure to take full advantage of a sack city for him as he really does become a force to be reckoned with at higher levels! What should I cover next? Sisters of Twilight / Throt the Unclean / Eltharion or Deathmaster Snikch? Let me know!
Ok i try couple of times better strategy is to hide all units in forest when huntsman is chased one unit of archers is goiung out of forest enemy will send one unit and you crush it whit 4 units when they close and go run in the forest again and leve one unit out of it so enemy will send another unit or even general to deal whit it and repeat reapet till you defet all . Huntsman have to run and run all the time taking agrro on 2-3 units .
Throt the Unclean might be fun too, I think it's an original lord and has great options to play his campaign. Might be fun to see how your first 10 turns looks like !
Thanks for the guide. I play on legendary but i dont have the DLC so no hunstman general or archers for me :( i usually just have Gelt's army alone until i control Wissenland and need a new Elector Count for the super steam tank. I always fight Wissenland. Sometimes you can get Averland to go to war with them by spending Prestige and then you can join Averland's side. This give you the best town in the game for Gelt - Nuln in Wissendland. Its also great because Averland become an easy confederation later on: so they act as a buffer between you and the vamps/greenskins while you take out the vamps. then you confederate to close the gaps in your territories for some big trade deal opportunities.
Hey really cool videos. I really like the quality of your voiceover and game footage editing and how tight everything is together. Dont you mind if I ask what is your work process with recording and then editing the whole thing? Do you write the whole script, voice it and then try match the footage to it or do you just play the footage to see what is going on while you record voice and then edit out the extra fat? I want to start editing some stuff myself but I'm a total beginner so it would be cool to understand how you approach the subject because the end result is really good. Also which editing software would you recommend?
Hey, thanks! I just record the whole thing without voiceover, then write a script as I edit the footage down to 5-6 mins and then add voiceover after. It's a fairly long process haha. I personally use Davinci Resolve, the free version. It's a great piece of software and totally free for the basic version which does everything you need to get started. Good luck!
Just followed this guide, and damn is that part with huntsmen + archer super hard like you said. It took me a while to achieve that part in turn 4&5 fighting them. Any tips on how to kite those fights? Cause I eventually manage but I always ended up really banged up. Still this is a great guide, I am going to see what I can do with this head start. Also what is your advice on sack leveling, how many turn should gelt spent farming?
It is definitely difficult, best advice I can give is to try and get your lord to kite as many units as possible, so your archers can deal with 1-2 units at a time. The goblins are the biggest threat here, as they are quicker than Orc units. The sack city will eventually be taken by Wissenland, so farm it for as long as possible. Gelt relies on level to get really strong, so the higher lvl he is, the better!
It's a really tough fight - try recruiting some Free Company Militia instead. Their fire at will ability makes the fight much easier and they can stand their ground in melee as well.
@@0Coordination Would have to go back to Turn 1 and NOT sell the barracks to get those Free Company Militias instead. Just wasted hour into following this just to get this nearly impossible fight (didn't get the speed perk on my Huntsman General so can't kite as effectively.) If your guide involves some super level cheese tactics, that you don't even elaborate or show properly, maybe tell in advance.
My first ever Empire campaign was with Gelt, I hadn't seen any guides or walkthroughs before I started, and I just steam rolled everything on my fist ever hard mode ME. Using Gelt's magic skill line to get near free searing doom made every battle a cake walk. Took forever to confederate Franz for some reason but I did it. Got my scary steamtank doomstack by turn 60, Vlad went on vacation right past my main army, in MY province, and things for the vampires only got worse from there. They were much more aggressive and recruited lots of armies with my Franz playthrough tho..
Tried this guide, and it was awesome at the start. Then the bitches of Karak hirn decided that my help in taking down the orc were worth squat and declared war on me...
Yeah, huntsman and 4 archers, not gonna happen against 5 shielded units. No matter how I try to kite, my huntsman with bonus speed cannot outrun them. And the moment I isolate a unit to kill it, everyone just goes for them, and because of the shielded units I cannot kill them fast enough. I might be a noob, but this ain't happening
First battle its not working the spiders run when you use spell and come back immidietly and gelt is doomed you better plase pistoliers on the other side focus spiders and the rest is easy.

Clan Eshin, Sir.
@@TSG-fd6fn Seems like it's a toss up between Snikch and Throt at the moment!
This guide is unrealistic the battle whit hauntsman is very hardfor me and i play total war sice shogun how do you expect casual players to win this.

I really love these videos man. Very helpfull and straight to the point. You should be way more popular.
Thanks man, I appreciate the comment! Glad you're enjoying the content :)
Will be trying Gelty boy tonight when I finish my Throt campaign that I used your other video for :D Thanks for this!
Nice, How did your Throt campaign go? I've not played him much but I had to finish his campaign after I did this guide and it was great fun!
Found this guide on steam somehow, and this is amazing dude
Glad you found it on steam and thanks for the kind words!
Throt the Unclean might be fun too, I think it's an original lord and has great options to play his campaign. Might be fun to see how your first 10 turns looks like !
Throt would be interesting for sure, I've been meaning to play him but never got around to it. His laboratory mechanic does seem like great fun.
Tahnk you!! Awesome tutorial. Love it. Im looking forward for your tutorials for Warhammer 3 :) helping me a lot
Thanks! Glad they're helping you out :)

What do u think about a Gunpowder only Build with Gelt? =D
Love it! I mix it up a little by adding a few steam tanks and warrior priests for a "front line" but it's my go-to Empire "Doomstack"
@@0Coordination Yepyep, Steamtanks as literal tanks, muskets, artillery behind and Gelt spells = Empire 2 Total war
@@CommanderTavos99 Pretty much - it's glorious to watch :)

Gelty is so strong once he gets leveled up, nearly unstoppable! Plus steam tank doomstacks are great fun :)

You deserve this sub!
Thank you! Appreciate the sub!
Really strong Gelt early on but require a bit of micro-intensive for the battle of Steingart. Nonetheless, a great Guide, thank you!
The battle for Steingart is a tough one for sure. Thanks for watching!
You didn't mention the Fort Soll fight with the greenskins...
Oh you're right! It's an easy auto-resolve and it wipes out the Greenskin army so they won't be a problem after that first turn.
