I’m not that into racing, but I have been to a NASCAR race and you gain a real respect for the drivers after seeing in person the high speeds these car go. Jacob you should try and make it to a race one day.
Jacob - you embody everything good about being a Southerner. I appreciate so much how kind you are, how you never disparage any group of people and how your interest is genuine and sincere. I spent 18 years growing up in the South and haven't been back since. Your channel has given me good memories of what once was no so good.
Man you're actually pretty dead nuts on when answering Jacobs questions 🤣 hilarious at some parts. Have you considered like doing tours for this place?? 🤘🏼
I tell everyone that to truly understand NASCAR, you have to go to a race. It’s really about the entire experience. I’ve been to the HOF before and it is one of the better interactive museums I’ve been too! Great video Jacob!
Thank you Jacob and Chris for showing us. You need to go to a real nascar race for a real experience. You will appreciate the sport. You make a great team. Hope for more vids.
That is really an impressive museum! I am not a racing fan, but I love a good museum, and I can appreciate the sport now because the museum is so well done. Wow Jacob! It’s amazing how far your fan base has come, and it is so well deserved! You are the most genuine person and it is awesome to see you doing so well! It is always great to see the fun places you travel to in your adventures!
I've been there! My dad took me there when I was a kid, looking back I should've enjoyed it more..He loved it though, he was a huge NASCAR fan, thanks Jacob!
Originally, Richard Petty did not have enough of any one color of blue to paint his entire car, so he combined all the cans of various blue colors he had around in the garage to create Petty Blue.
As a NASCAR fan, there are some other cool trophies race winners at certain tracks get, at Texas Motor Speedway, the winner gets a Cowboy Hat, Boots, and fires off six shooters in Victory Lane, at New Hampshire, the winner gets a Taxidermy lobster, and at Dover, the race winner gets a statue of the track's mascot, Miles the Monster (Dover is known as the Monster Mile)
Thank you so much for bringing your friend with you!!! I love your videos but when you go to a car museum i always find myself yelling at the screen lol, love your channel!!!
Earnhardt Sr. passed about one month before I was born. My family was watching that race, sr was my eldest brother favorite driver and unfortunately witnessed him pass away. RIP to a legend.
I remember that day. The news came on right after the race that said he had passed at the conclusion of the race - devastating. I remember my dad saying NO WAY. I would have been..9, and I remember not quite understanding why Darrell was in tears. Then I think that year was also 911 right? It was a crazy time. And within that decade Michael jackson and so many other greats passed as well.
I feel like this was a big educational trip for bagger, without his buddy there he wouldn’t have known any thing about what was going on, or what he was even looking at!!
Jacob, you need to at least know that Jeff Gordon also spent some of his childhood in Indiana. He moved there from California when he was 13 to further his racing career. Your questions cracked me up, and I appreciate Christopher’s patience in helping educate you on all things Nascar! 🙂
I’m really glad he brought someone along that actually knows nascar ... cause if not that could have been a mess lol .....thanks for filming I have to go there soon
I was watching the race the day Dale Earnhardt died. At the time I worked at a Chevrolet Dealership. That Monday when I went to work was the very first time in my life that I saw grown men crying. It was so sad. Thank you Jacob for the tour of the NASCAR Hall of Fame
Ethan's NASCAR'S And Trains Hey Ethan! I also pull for both Chase and Kyle Larson. My wife pulls for Kyle Friggen’ Busch. I have NEVER liked Busch for what he did to Ron Hornaday in the truck race under caution.
Im getting back into racing since Jeff left, as i was a fan of his too, im trying to figure out who to pull for. Really hoping Hailie makes it on to the scene soon!
I live in Kannapolis and grew up in Concord about 3 miles from the Charlotte track. I have been raised around racing my whole life. I know you don’t care for NASCAR but you did a decent job of trying to be interested, lol
We have an oversized brass statue of Dale Sr downtown. I can’t imagine how many drivers I have sold gas to over the years. You get used to seeing semi famous people when you live around them.
cattyd I have a cousin that lives in Mooresville. She has seen Dale Earnhardt Jr. eating out at least twice and she basically says the same thing. People are so used to seeing him they don’t even bother him or ask for autographs.
mcr2124 I once drove to Daytona 500 from Buffalo, NY. You know that Buffalo called SNOW CAPITAL OF USA. I don't blame people we still get 10-12 feet every winter from Lake Erie.
6:45 since this was posted in 2019, Jimmie is actually tied with Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty with 7. That car you were seeing, was the car he won his 6th title, it was just saying "this is the car that won his 6th" not "he currently has 6" lol
They take a shot of Vonda before each race just to make things more interesting. This was great to see. I love NASCAR and, I have to go there someday. Jeff Gordon was my favorite driver until he retired. I like Jimmie Johnson and anyone from Hendrick motorsports now. He has 7 championships now.
I refuse to believe the Carpet Bagger doesn't know this much about NASCAR, unless he lived under a rock for all these years, everyone has a general understanding of NASCAR. Great video though, hope to some day visit the Hall of Fame
Scott Fisher I was there and trust me, he doesn’t know much about NASCAR. LOL. If he was born/raised here in the south as I was, he probably would have known more. It was fun giving a NASCAR lesson to someone with no NASCAR knowledge.
I'm not into racing, but this was cool. Jacob, you're hilarious! I would be exactly like you if I was there! 😂 I know nothing about racing! Lol! Take care & stay safe on your travels! 👍😀💙✌
I'd love to try that full car simulator and watch my race on the screen after; that looks cool. 👍 Hey! Impressive time on the second pit stop attempt! 👍
As someone who actually drives race cars, I will tell you that you absolutely need to be in good physical condition to drive the car. It’s physically demanding, the g forces your body has to endure lap after lap is tiring. The seat is equally important. Full containment seats are custom built for each driver, and can cost as much as $5000, and when fit correctly to the driver, is more comfortable than your lay z boy.
Where I live we used to have a nascar speed park, they had go karts and etc but the coolest thing was the simulators because they put you in a replica nascar car with full motion hydraulics so it felt you were actually driving it.... unfortunately long gone and got replaced by a legoland discovery centre and the mall expanded and putting parking lots where the outside go kart tracks were
After a very traumatic brain injury & surviving. I don’t sweat the small stuff. I’m just glad I can put some words together just enough that you understand the comment. Yay me ! Thanks grammar police for reminding me of my short comings.
Not into racing much but found that very interesting. Loved that you took a friend with you to help out. Did you know there is a you tuber called C.J Faison who raced nascar. The racing simulator looked like a lot of fun. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
I’ve watched Carpet Bagger since way before he was was this big. As a race car driver however, this was really hard to watch. Obviously Jacob didn’t know much about the sport, which is totally fine. But this was a cringefest of high disrespect to drivers, the Matrolina video was hard to watch as well. Come out to a dirt sprint car race if you’re ever in Pennsylvania on a weekend and see what it’s all about! You’ll love it, and gain respect!
Petty blue was actually created because they didn’t have enough blue paint to finish the car so they mixed the gallon of blue with a gallon of white and that created petty blue
Jocko Flocko was a Rhesus monkey and remains the only known "co-driver" in NASCAR history. On May 16, 1953, Jocko helped Tim win the Grand National race at Hickory, N.C. - becoming the only winning monkey to date. Unfortunately, Jocko was forced to retire from "driving" duties two weeks later in Raleigh, N.C. Tim Flock recalls the incident:

There is a historical and heritage museum in martinsville Virginia ,but you have to get in touch with the manager of the Walgreens in Collinsville Va named Desmond Kendrick to look at the museum. The museum has a lot of stuff that I know you will enjoy. The museum is like sister to the museum that you went to that made you interested in roadside attractions.
You would think the nascar hall of fame would have updated it by now. There is a video on youtube of Dale Jr. talking a part of him not wanting to seen Johnson get his 8th. He may not. He just lost Lowes and Chad Knauss.
Dale Earnhardt died helping his son win the Daytona 500 , you need to watch a race to help you understand how it works, Daytona 500 is on tv feb 17th check it out

Hi Jacob!! So glad you filmed here! I've always wanted to see inside the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It's better than I expected! Great video!!!!!
After Jacob RAMMED me in the simulator and I wrecked, I actually had the 8th fastest time for that day.
Man you're actually pretty dead nuts on when answering Jacobs questions 🤣 hilarious at some parts. Have you considered like doing tours for this place?? 🤘🏼
Jimmie Johnson actually tied Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty with seven titles in 2016.
Thank you for setting that straight!Go Jimmie.
I was about to comment that I'm a big nascar fan so I know most of the sport past champions
when was this vid made

Yes but Dale Earnhardt will always be way better than Jimmie Johnson

Not much of a car race fan but have had relatives super into it. Grew up near Riverside International raceway (now a mall)
Tom Klock Hey. Riverside was amazing. That was where Dale Earnhardt made a TRUE pass in the grass in the mid 80’s.
