I watched this man race since I was 6 or 7 years old.....I watched every practice, qualifying, race and it brought me sooooooo much joy! I'm 27 now and still pull for him and watch everything he does with great intent.....atta boy jr! 👊🏼
Nobody can imagine what Dale has gone through as the face of the sport in the wake of losing his dad to the very sport he loves so much. The fact that he has done it with such incredible class in the face of so much adversity is truly incredible. What a classy, quality human being. WE LOVE YOU FOREVER JR!!!

When Sr died, the entire sport turned to Dale Jr for the answer to "What's next?" and he answered in a big way, taking on the responsibility of carrying an entire sport on such young shoulders. He had his ups and downs throughout his career, but there isn't a single driver in the HOF that hasn't. It's what he did off the track for the fans and what he continues to do for the fans and what he continues to bring to the sport that solidified his as a first ballot Hall of Fame inductee for sure. Congrats to Dale and his entire team behind him, it's been one hell of a ride for us fans, and I know I couldn't be happier with the news of his selection. Well deserved.
He won 2 Busch series championships and 2 daytona 500s. Just that shouldn't give someone a hall of fame induction, otherwise Michael Waltrip should be in the hall. This is total inconsistency. It's just a F'ing popularity contest. All the hall of fame is doing here is guaranteeing junior fans show up at the door. $$$

@@J.B24 hall of "FAME" jr is one of the most famous names in all of motorsports. One of the top 30-40 drivers ever in nascar. One of the best ever on the restrictor plate tracks. He has done more for the sport than any other modern driver. He has brought so much talent in to the sport also. The hof isnt just a win list competition Why arent you crying about Red Farmer? he never even won a top series race. Same with Mike Stefanik. Sure he was a great in the mods, but 1 top 10 in 10 years in the busch series.
If you have to slow all the other cars down just to win a race, then you're not that great. Restrictor plate racing isn't racing. The guy is only famous because his daddy was great. Hendrick only hired him because of his popularity which brought sponsorship. Dale only drove for DEI because his daddy owned it. Tell me again how this guy is great? He's been spoon fed everything he's ever got in life.

Congrats Dale Jr. I see some comments from people stating the obvious like he didn't win a championship but he won a lot of important races that effected the sport. His 2001 Daytona win after his father passed away. The sport of Nascar at that time needed that more than anything. Fans, fellow drivers, pit crews & basically everyone involved in the sport breathed easier when he won Daytona after what happened to his father. Winning Dover the week after 9-11, there was no racer better than Jr. at that time to win that week after being attacked. Jr. won races when people needed it the most! Winning Talladega 4 times in a row which I believe is the record if im not mistaken. 2 time Daytona champion. If you include Busch series hes won Daytona I don't know how many times but its quite a few. Outside of his father Jr. is probably the best restrictor plate driver there ever was in Nascar. Jeff Gordon deserves to be in that conversation as well. Im not sure the exact number of wins Jr. has but its at least 20-30 wins which is very respectable. Then being the most popular driver every single yr he was in Nascar says a lot about the man. Its not just having the last name Earnhardt! He was a great driver & still is if he continued to race. Hes also a great person which is why he has so many fans! So again I will say congratulations to Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Wish I had someone in NASCAR or racing in general to ask on how to get started as a Amateur with little to no funds. I have watched the Earnhardt's since I was born in 1995! Always have been keeping tabs on the family!

Kelly is technically the owners of his teams car. I remember going to a nationwide race and seeing the drivers and car owners and Kelly was next to all of juniors drivers

I never watched NASCAR until this season, and Dale Jr. brought me into it. Having seen his podcast on YT, I decided to give NASCAR a try and now I'm hooked. I don't know all the history of the sport, but I know for a fact the impact he's had on it, being that he brought this newbie in. Congrats, Jr. Your daddy would be proud of you.
Exactly why he's getting in. Wasn't a great driver, but his impact and advocacy in the sport is why he's getting in so early. It's one thing I like about the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It values legacy as much stats

Throughout my life, Dale Jr to me was always "my favorite race car driver". Now, he's "my favorite Hall of Fame race car driver". Crazy how time does things! The range of people that are happy for him go from Mike Helton to a 20 something kid from Queens New York (me). CONGRATS DALE!!!
So happy for Junior. My dad and I always made sure we were able to watch every race on Friday, saturday and Sunday for so many years. We are such huge Earnhardt fans! Junior is the best ambassador NASCAR could ask for. Down to earth guy. Much respect!
