  • Mammoth WVH performing on 9-14-21 at Mercury Ballroom in Louisville KY. I shot this on my iPhone 12 Pro Max in 60fps.
Wolfgang arrived in Louisville to play this headlining set on his first solo tour while opening for Guns N' Roses. As amazing as an honor it is to open for GNR, you can tell he was in his preferred element playing to the large club crowd where he could play a full set- his entire solo debut album including the Japanese exclusive bonus song, Talk & Walk. The crowd showed their extreme appreciation to him before You'll Be The One by chanting, "Wolfie! Wolfie! Wolfie!" After taking a step back and then blushing, he responded, "You guys have the honor of being the first audience to do that for me." Hopefully many more will and should. Later, he settled an issue that seems to be on social media- that his rug is just a rug. There is no meaning in it beyond to mark up where his keyboard and pedals are to go.

OK. So I'm a little behind the curb, but after all, I'm 70 years old. Best band I've heard in years (And I've seen them all in my lifetime) Bought the CD a month ago and have been listening to it daily since. I am ASTOUNDED! I have tickets for their Feb. 17 show at Mystic Lake Casino (Twin Cities). I am taking my daughter and 18 year old grandson. Thank you, Wolfie, for renewing my faith in rock and roll. You could play with the best of them.

For many many years the world has known the initials EVH. Now the next generation will know the initials WVH, and God knows, EVH must be incredibly proud. This just proves Rock and the electric guitar are not dead.

A Van Halen fan since their debut album and I have seen VH in concert multiple times. I am so impressed with Wolfgang as a young man, songwriter, guitarist, multi-faceted musician, vocalist. What a great band he has lined up here! He has his own unique, hard rock vibe which is awesome to hear in today's music. Long live Rock! You've made your Pop proud, Wolf.

I worked with WVH few years ago. Was playing bass with Tramonti. Humble, quiet and a little shy. He was a very capable player then at his young age..That said..Mammoth is impressive, and I'm not easily impressed..Solid song writing, great vocals , nice groove, ..A band I want to hear more of. I have a feeling Mammoth will be around for awhile..Thinking the future of Rock n Roll is in good hands!! Great job guys!!

@@perrycreason8014 With a Dad like Eddie! Of course the family history helps as well for his musical knowledge! but the one thing that really impresses me, is that he doesn't want to go straight into Panama,or Jump!, Like every fan of Van Halen wants, no DEMANDS! HIM TO DO! Maybe he'll do it later on, after he's established himself, like at the tribute show he wants to do for Eddie! But he's his own man and it will serve him well!

Saw him with Mark Tremonti in Nashville at small club called Exit Inn . He mostly stood in the back seemed very humble. He was on bass it was red with stripes like he’s dads . Thought it was weird at first before I realized who he was. They had a signing at the end of the night . When I asked him what was it like to play with two of the great guitar players. Mark jumped in a told not to put him self in the same class as Eddie. Wolfgang kind of smiled and said it was a great experience . Super Happy for him, absolutely love this album. And his live performances is as clean and well put together as the album itself. Hope see him again soon ( just saw 4 nights ago at Mars Music Hall in Huntville,Al) opening night with the boot on.

When Wolf first joined VH people said “they’re using Mike’s voice on tape live”(including Sammy) but they weren’t. Then when ADKOT came out they said “Ed played the bass” and “they got a Mike sound alike to sing the backgrounds.” Neither was true. Then they blamed Wolf for the original lineup not getting back together which we know now that he tried to facilitate a reunion of all the members and that we also wouldn’t have had the incredible setlists that we did from the final tours if it wasn’t for him. I don’t know if I have ever seen another musician be as doubted and resented as Wolf has been for no reason. Hopefully this album and tour will lay to rest whether Wolf is the real deal. I’m no fan boy but it has been lame to watch him be attacked as much as he has.

Once I found out it didn't matter. I always knew he would do something great and not being like his Dad's music makes it that much better. His future in music is secure.

His vocals sound great amd clean. No gravel. Reminiscent of Michael Poulsen of Volbeat and Miles Kennedy (with Slash)and that is.fine fine company. His music style.is.similar.to those.two bands.

I'm late to the party just hearing this music within this last week. I have to say it's well put together and the kid has a future no doubt with his own story to tell His way. A great talent with solid songwriting. I know there are many that want to hear Van Halen but those days are gone. It would be hard to swallow if Wolfie came out with a less than stellar attempt at his dad's music and failed. People already hating on him not doing just that how bad would it be then. Instead he's doing his shit and that's what he should be doing. I stumbled on to this kids music not know it was WVH. LOVE IT Good for music to have him in the lineup. This my 1st time hearing some of this album previously hearing about half of it. I'm digging this Alice in Chains vibe he has. Refreshing to hear this album in an industry that has all but forgotten Great Rock Music. This dude will make his own legacy guaranteed.

@@perrycreason8014 your welcome. I enjoyed it very much twice already! He's got my support for sure. I loved it when Wolf joined Van Halen and they did "A Different Kind of Truth" with that album holding some of Ed's best tones of his career using the equipment he helped build to achieve absolute brilliance for his last work. Wolf plays the bass outstanding with his Dad's band pushing him to that final sound. He's a Van Halen for sure. Peace

I saw Wolfgang playing Bass for Tremonti live in Frankfurt at the Zoom Club in 2013. His bass playing was already above any doubt, but now his stage presence as a frontman has really grown too. Still seems to be a very humble man, which is good, back then he seemed overly shy though.
