Damn good!!
Rock Royalty!
In my 71 years of life, I've seen so many bands and musicians that I lost track of them all. Then, along comes Wolfie and his fabulous band. DANG! The talent flowing through him and all of his band members is absolutely astounding! I took my 19 year grandson to see them last night at First Avenue in Minneapolis. It was one of the best concerts that I have seen in many years! (Who else can say their grandmother took them to rock concerts? LOL!) He is so fun to watch and such a great personality. You're going to go far young man.
WVH BAD to the BOnE
hes a crybaby spoiled brat lol. probably cried to be the vh bassist.
You're a great lady. And you were in your 20s when Wolf's dad graced us initially.
I had the same experience at Detroit when they opened for Metallica… I didn’t want them to leave the stage. Great live band!
I went to see the G&R show in St. Paul, just to see Mammoth open for them, I knew they were that good! I enjoyed them more than the headliner.
I wanted to see the show at First Avenue so badly! I knew it was going to be a killer show. Glad you were able to make it & brought your grandson. No doubt he knows he's got a pretty cool GMA by his side! 👍
I want you all to pay close attention to this band because they are the future of heavy metal/rock music. Call your local radio stations and request a song from Mammoth. Let’s get them some exposure people
My son was the FOH soundman on this tour!
Tell him that he did a fantastic job! I wasn’t there, but this is an audience recording of his live mix and it sounds great. Having great sounds coming in with a great person translating that through the system are the ingredients for a great sounding show.
I am seeing him in Houston, Thanksgiving. I can’t wait.
Great A1
Yeah, Wolf played at the shittiest sound place in St. Louis, called Red Flag. It's rafter and upper level are made of shipping containers. The sound was the best I've ever heard. I was absolutely mind blown of how studio like it sounded. Good ass job to him.
Great job 👏👏
Did not realize that WVH was such a good singer. Now I do!! Wow
The backup vocals by the bassist and rhythm guitarsit are very strong as well.
Yea ❤ no Shiite 😮 he can wail! I forgot he existed, my loss til now😊 harmony vocals and upbeat rhythms get me dancing and thts rare😅
His band KRANKS! Good Mix, Good tunes, brings me back to 90s honestly, and thts AWESOME 👏
😎 THANK YOU Mammoth and WVH, made my day🎉😊
Bigdigs26 I salute u❤ THANK YOU for this😊
Same here! This is the first time I've ever heard him sing. 🤘✌️
He's got excellent pitch and he properly rips - while lugging an axe on his shoulder and playing waaay beyond 'self-accompaniment'.
Kinda reminds me of how good Bob Dylan's son Jacob was in The Wallflowers. Also Sean Lennon.
Neither are Hendrix, Zappa or even Chris Cornell, sure - but there seems to only be enough mojo to go around for a few on "that-level" to exist simultaneously. Ripping at the highest level on guitar and/ or voice while also writing iconic tunes on album after album is the rarest of the rare, and precious few ever get there.
He's already legit and becoming a legend... but if Wolf can be more prolific, he's got a shot at pantheon-level greatness.
This is what you called a rehearsed band... perfect. Those vocals are spot on.. not one bad note. Perfect harmonies!
I'd beg to differ on that, but overall good! 18:14 The BGVs have much improvement from when they first began. Wolf's voice kicks F'n A$$!
@@hollylewis5302 What about 18:14 are you saying they're good or bad? The problem with this is if you're not hearing it live it's not going to sound like it does coming through all the PA speakers only time live concerts sound great coming through your stereo is when they're mixed for that. This show sounds pretty raw. Maybe a little bit of mix but not much Also you nail that one thing you said Wolfie's voice is the s*** and it's really hard to copy him not just once twice but three times cuz he does a lot of backup vocals by himself. That's tough, just in its own. They're doing a pretty good job so far. I'm really hoping that his next album He includes those guys on recording so that it sounds closer, not knocking it I love his vocals all the way around the board he's got a great voice, especially on I'm all right. The recording of that is just phenomenal, but it's always hard. That's why bands never sound the same live because it usually the lead singer does a lot of overdubbing by himself and all the backups. That's why Van Halen was so great because Michael and Eddie did all those background vocals on the recordings. They had that signature sound. I'm hoping Wolfie includes the other guys so they can come up with a signature. Sound like that.
I M O
Troy, just a little pitchy on the BGVs. Nothing to make a big deal about. I'm a professional singer and BGVocalist! :)@@troyhenjamin1144
Troy, I have seen Mammoth live. I am a professional musician and singer for 40 years. I can tell when someone is flat or sharp in their singing. I worked in Nashville for 30 years as a singer in the studio, live and touring. If you want specifics, I believe Ronnie was a little flat and wobbly on his note in this particular spot in the song. If you recall, Mammoth began without Jon Jourdan. It was only Frank and Ronnie singing BGVs (which stands for background vocals if you are unfamiliar). If you go back and listen to a live version of "Distance" before Jon joined the band, you can really hear the "off key" harmonies. Since Jon joined and was moved up front, remember he was in the backline at first and Ronnie was up front stage left, you can hear much improvement in the BGVs. Frank has pretty much been mostly removed from singing because he was the most pitchy of all. I am NOT dogging any of them out because it is very difficult to play an instrument and sing at the same time!! I know from first-hand experience. All of this said, I hope you understand my comment better and I am only happy that they are out there KICKING A$$ and that Wolf is making his father very proud!! Wolf has a pitch-perfect voice and anyone would be hardpressed to duplicate his background vocals. Blessings friend! ❤
@@hollylewis5302 greetings, I was just asking what you were saying. Your comment explains it very well. I too have been playing music for 36 years now. I'm very well pressed on knowing everything you said, but I appreciate the condescension, lol . Anyway, that's about what I was saying too that Wolfie's voice is pitch perfect and it's very hard to duplicate that for anybody. I haven't followed them on their live shows very much. I haven't even seen them live but I would like to someday. Yes, I too can hear the off notes and I'm rooting for them to pull it all together. Like I was saying I hope they can come up with a backing vocal prowess like Van Halen had for the most underrated singer out there was Eddie Van Halen his dad of all people you can hear his voice so prevalent now the stuff with David Lee Roth. It's just too bad that when Sammy got there, his voice is so close that without even really realizing that he surgically removed him out of the vocal displacement, which is sad because that was my favorite part of Van Halen. I'd like to sing with Wolfie's band. I can pull thirds and fifths (diminished) off very well. I never wanted to be a lead singer (like you spoke of playing an instrument which I play guitar mainly but I play bass and drums too , is very hard to sing while you're doing that )*Wolfie singing "Im Alright" at the beginning of the dual lead about 30 seconds in. He's off coming in just to show how hard it is to do* but I love being the backup making him or her sound great. I really love singing with women lead singers. Very special voices that us men can't do. Anyway, it's nice to chat to a fellow musician and music lover. I hope that clarifies I wasn't trying to be rude or anything. Keep rocking and thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. Have a good one
A old VH fan ....first concert in 1980 and this band is great ! So happy for Wolf to show off his God given talent, what a musician!!!!!!
That was frickin' awesome!!! Loved it! Mammoth fuckin' rocks! Thank YOU Mammoth! 😎👍💯🥰
Holy shit, this audio is insane. It almost sounds like it’s from the board. Thanks for posting!
I know!
😂😂😂 it probably is straight from the board... It's way too hot, and clear, to be some dude's iPhone. 😂😂😂
@@p0kerp1aya It says in the description that this is audio from one source edited together with the video from another person so youre right.
Thank you, Wolfgang, for coming to Sacramento!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just think you are MOST talented and your happy band of guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
Totally right ! These are his good friends … it shows on stage. What a great band
This is what happens when a Van Halen takes it to a new level with his band mates that are all extremely top shelf. Best band out there.
The family tradition rocks on!!!!
I LOVE MAMMOTH! Every song on both albums is outstanding! I'm feeling about Mammoth WVH the way I felt about Van Halen in my youth. They were my all-time favorite band until Mammoth came along - Mammoth may just take that spot - truly amazing talent that grips my soul!
I literally lost my virginity with VH-1 playing in the background, you can hear Alex Van Halen in my drumming at times, I have way too many stories to tell with Van Hagar as the soundtrack, but there's something really special about Wolfie! Mammoth was my most listened to band last year, & top 2 so far this year! If you haven't seen WVH "Behind the Music" on Paramount Plus, it's a MUST SEE! Bring a box of tissues though, it's an emotional roller coaster! THE VAN HALEN LEGACY IS ALIVE & THRIVING!
Wolf is a Pro’s Pro!!!
I really appreciate the raw sound with hardly any special affects. I can hear the talent of each musician. Thanks so much.
I agree. I just wrote to someone else about how raw it sounded. They are talented no doubt. Peace
It's extremely well-executed, just needs a hit or three. Wolf needs to get his songwriting in high gear and put this on the next level.
I'm always blown away by how incredible they are. Not surprising given Wolfgang's experience touring with his dad and Tremonti, along with Frank's work with Slash.
I’ve seen him play guitar and no doubt he has the chops, but I’ve never heard him sing. He’s got some voice, very rock n roll
Remember that contagious smile Eddie would have on his face when the VH music came together perfectly (as it always did). He smiles just the same, but now for Wolfie.
OMG....literally one of the BEST live videos ive seen of Mammoth WVH. I adore Wolf and his band. This is awesome. thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right?? And those background vocals are so in point!! Holy Shit!
Damn the emotions going through my head right now! Wolfgang is abso-fuckin-lutely awesome and so is his band! He's sounding better than ever!! He's shinning his own torch, you know Eddie would be grinning his cheese grin! This sounds even better live, listen to his voice!
So many compliments!!........ I could go on & on! 🤘😝🎸🎶🎶❤️🎶🎶💯☮️
Ed would be so proud!
One of the best things about being on the M72 is watching these guys kick ass every week. Killer energy.
Saw the Detroit show. New fan. Wished they played longer.
@@ChadSebaldExactly my same thoughts when I saw them open for G&R. I was really bummed they were not allowed more time. It was their 1st album. So many in the audience had no clue what they were listening to. They were the main reason I went to the show! (Not a huge G&R fan). Mammoth is so good!
I have always been a Vanhalin fan and even a Vanhagar fan, I remember jamming on running with the devil as a young man but anyway i was asked if i had heard wolf and untill now i hadnt but have been listening for 45 minutes and have to absolutely say i love it ! Im 60 and have to say BADASS! , Im a wolfie fan too! Glad you went your own direction because you both deserve your own !
I'm old school VH, I don't usually like newer music, this is really good!!!
Mammoths rocking wolfgangs awesome phenom virtuoso no musical today can touch this guy and he even has an awesome voice the love for van halen stays strong this version is even better
These guys rock😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Awesome! I can't wait to see them for the 1st time tomorrow night at the Norva

This video rocks. Sound quality is HQ - TwoThumb's UP- Opening song is one of my faves . WVH MAMMOTH ROCKS!!
Took my dad to this as a birthday gift for him, we both had a blast and I even got a pick!
KILLING IT!! KILLING IT!! KILLING I T !!!
Going to see Mammoth WVH in Boston for a second time...Can't Wait..!!!! 🎶
This is badass!
So awesome
21 days, Vegas House of Blues, I’m so stoked. This talented young man’s father wrote the soundtrack to my youth. And now his father’s son is writing the soundtrack to the final chapter in my life. So looking forward to watching his performance. You go Wolf, I’ll see you in 3 weeks. Look for the 64 year old man having the time of his life.
The sound quality is pristine.
I love this band more every time I hear them
Hade the best teacher
He is so talented love his music .It's out of world hope to meet him one day:)
Was supposed to attend this show; ended up with other plans and had to sell my tickets - glad someone else got to enjoy them and now I can watch what I missed here! Love me some Wolfie - such a sweet, humble guy and doing his old man proud for sure!
He's awesome; outside of Steel Panther my favorite "this side of 2010" artist.
To say WVH is still a nipper, has only 2 albums under his belt, he’s a phenomenon. He’s going to be legendary. Better than his dad. Phenomenal talent. Take a bow, Wolfgang Van Halen 🤘🏻
Seen in Milan with Slash.......great band.......top musicians
Never have I wanted to see a band so badly...these guys fucking kick ass.
apple didn't fall too far from tree
I got almost the same footage. You must’ve been right by us. We were on the end (at stage left) Awesome you got the whole thing!
I was there, but near the back, thank you so much for this recording, excellent quality. Wolf and Mammoth rocked this place!
The Force is strong in this one....🤘
Seeya in Hamburg,Germany APRIL.11. 24 supporting SLASH& MILES KENNEDY😎🤘!!
Nice Wolfie!
Your voice reminds me of the great Billy Squire 😊🤘🏼
well done splendid Wolf the best
What a fuckin talent! I'm amazed and thankful that WFH has grasped life by the horns. Been there myself. Remember on the other side what you did to get you back to those days later in life.
Rock on!!! 🤘
Right away the harmonies between Jon and Wolf are sincerely awesome!! Love it!
So I saw WVH play bass with Eddie for a Van Halen show a long time ago. I had no idea he was this talented. I freaking love this so much more than Van Halen.
that breakdown in Stone 🤌
Lordy...........this is phenomenal. Wolfgang is the real deal.
The VH legacy will obviously continue much to all of our enjoyment. Wolfie, I hope you don't get tired of hearing this because I see it a lot in the comments of your various videos, but your dad is so proud of you we can all feel him beaming through. :)
Yup he is as cool as the rest of the family. Need anyone say more? Talent and some
Awesome video & sound! Thanks so much for recording and posting!
The 916, bringing wolf some love. Makes me proud
Incredible dude. Incredible band. Kick ass show!!
that snare is cutting thru.... good show
This is absolute fire!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
this is the best new band in a while...
A perfect mix of rock, melody and heavy shit.
No doubt about it, IMO!
Wolfgang you are one of the VERY best songwriters to hit the Hard Rock genre in recent years. You CAN play like your Pop. However, where you go above maybe even where Eddie could have - your Vocal melodies are amazing to me. The strength of any song is in its ability to move the listener with melody...normally in the vocal. And you excel here above and beyond most musicians.
He has it all not just because of his dad but because of his mom!! what a wonderful man and talent
@@suehaynie5054 absolutely I agree. Both were equally important role models. I'm referring to music, in this case.
