    I think the one thing asmongold didn't touch up on enough is that this issue is only present in the vocal minority. The silent majority of people who make up the majority of consumers don't care. They aren't pro trans or anti trans, they just don't care about the concept entirely and it won't affect how they view the channel as a whole.

If you don't care and treat them as individuals on an individual level in your daily life and not engage in big sweeping internet discussions about their existence, that is all you need to do to be a supporter tbh

      Not deciding on something is a decision on its own. Personally, I don't care what someone "identifies" as, but I do care about the message that they send to children. telling someone that "you can be something that you are not" can only hurt future generations. My dad said no using said history as proof he needs it and luckily the doctor backed off. He takes just enough to get rid of the pain. No high whatsoever. No leftover pills at the end of refill. So if they had succeeded in lowering his prescription they would have immediately sent a 68 year old man into withdrawal and inescapable arthritis. He's already going to be in a wheel chair eventually if he doesn't die before that. The last thing we need is to add chronic pain on top of it. First, whoever wrote "become trans = get attention" ought to give it a try and find out. Fucking stupid thing to say.
    Second, just for data, wanted to offer an anecdote: a friend married a woman. He identified as a bisexual man initially, but has since transitioned and now presents fem and identifies as n-b. And... still married. Wife still loves them - not the man, not the woman, but the person - for them. Their relationship has gotten stronger because they are free to be their genuine selves with each other's support.
    All I'm saying is, this shit is complicated, and people stay people now matter how they change.

It's optional to get angry over how someone is. The best rhetoric I've heard about being against it is the typical "think about the kids", but imo if your kids are so easily swayed then you're a crappy parent lol. I honestly don't see the harm most of the time in letting kids try things out (I have different opinions when meds are introduced tbf, brain is still developing and I think there could be a mental problem if the kid needs to chemically transition immediately vs holding off until they're older). Chris isn't a kid and I'm sure he lost friends and family over his decision; that makes me think this was a long decision in the making, and the fact they have been consistent with the transition signifies to me they're legit. I'd very much rather someone live honestly and happily vs being very uncomfortable while living a dishonest life around friends and family. I'm certain this was an extremely difficult decision, and the fact that people are shitting on them for it must sting (which is why I think social media is generally a net negative but I'm not going into that lol)

      @@mikafizz1022 Diogenes was a Greek philosopher who lived in an empty wine keg on the streets of Athens. He was the founder of ancient cynicism (very different from modern cynicism) and later inspired stoicism. He is basically the first recorded troll.
      Alexander the Great was a big fan of his philosophy. Alexander was the most powerful man in the world at the time. He traveled to see Diogenes one day, he asked him “such a man of great wisdom, is there anything in my power I can do for you?” Diogenes responded “yeah, you can stand out of my light..” alaxander responds “if I was not Alaxander the great, I would like to be Diogenes.” Diogenes responded with “if I was not Diogenes, I too would want to be Diogenes.”
      Every quote from him seems like something asmond would say.

  • @ceePx
    @ceePx Рік тому

    well there are multiple ways to look at this imo
    either think of it as for example if the parent(s) got some medical problems after having born a kid, you'll feel bad for the kid and the parent(s), the parent(s) for not being able to raise the kid as normal basically even when trying the hardest.
    or from a more differing perspective, you can see it as the parent(s) making a bad life decision which might get the kid to have a worse life (maybe) for their parent(s) not trying hard enough to combat their own problems
    It depends on how you think of things and how you've been taught this whole time, cultural differences, etc.

The stats and real life experiences are irrefutable. A trans dad can give his child love and money but that isn't the only thing young boys need to be good men.
