It is probably the dumbest thing when advertisers pull because of some stuff like this. Your ads get shown on TV shows where people are literally committing incest murder rape in a bunch of other horrible s*** all the time but when it's an actual human being doing something that's slightly messed up oh no no no no no no no no no
It's good when a person acknowledges their mistakes and seeks to improve, the problem is that most apology videos nowadays feel like an attempt at damage control more so that genuine regret. There's a lot of people out there who put great emphasis on their digital reputation, even more so if they are content creators. There's an obsession with "digital currency" in the form of "likes" and "karma" because it allows them to feel validated about what they say and do. However when things don't pan out the way they wanted to (as it usually happens), most just backpedal out of it, like the old "it was just a joke/prank, bruh" excuse, followed by an attempt to gaslight you into thinking you're the one who is being overly dramatic. Humans are social beings with an innate desire for being liked and accepted, even those who are absolute a-holes. When confronted with a different reality however, their instinct is to either go on the defensive or salvage the situation by appeasement. Deep inside they are still a-holes, they just won't be as obvious about it. Or they will move elsewhere where they may find like-minded individuals to form their own echo-chamber. And that right there is humanity (and civilization) in a nutshell - a bunch of repressed animals, pretending they are morally superior and civilized, when they are just a few steps away from regressing to savages. If a tribe doesn't accept them, they move on until they find one who does... or make their own. Humans will always be human, no matter how many masks they don. PS: On Dankulas' case... I think fining people for doing bad stuff is stupid because it implies anything's legal, provided you can pay for it. It's a tax on the poor, and serves only to fatten the coffers of the Estate. Personally, I think community service is far more productive and beneficial, but that's just me...

Somehow, I've hit some kind of weird loop on UA-cam. Where I went from watching the downfall of reacts channels in real life to watching documentaries about the downfall of UA-camrs to watching the reaction about a documentary to the downfall of UA-camrs. Entertaining absolutely making me question my life choices also absolutely.
The suicide forest incident is not forgotten. Maybe it is for you Zack but many people still remember. I have a friend in Poland. We talked about the pokemon hype and I talked about logan paul. The very first thing he asked me was if that is the suicide forest guy. I told him that I was surpised that he knew about it and he said that most people in his school know about it too. That was 2021. Here in germany very few people heared about it. Germany is one of the biggest EU countries so we have our own social media bubble which is just german. Smaller countries have it a bit more different. (Not saying Poland is small, I know it is bigger then Germany. ⬜🟥 Kocham cię).
A teacher in high school taught me that for the most part if someone uses "if" or "but" in an apology, then they are bullshitting and usually don't mean a word of their apology.

Pretty recently started having to stock it because of the owners where I work being fairly young so they take anything and everything influencer related. And of all the things we’ve tried Prime sells a fuck ton, and seemingly to all ages just from watching. Man definitely recovered by now if not moreso
the fact Logan still has a channel after the forest thing is mindblowing youtube had to kill that 5 years ago at least... i still remember the conversations with some friends in Japan about that, we all thought the channel was going to be deleted within a week or so, and he recovered people didnt forget, just grow older xd, and new wave of dumb kids took over the views, and so on and so on after every controversy the king of douchebags has.
Makes me question the validity of the stunt, is there an absolute irrefutable way to verify it was a corpse? Or was it set-up with a manikin etc? I vaguely remember it and only really seeing the hands and abdomen as everything was blurred heavily Which if real that's a no brainer why it would be so censored. But being suspicious makes you think there's plenty of room to be fake it given the blur they only need a silhouette of a person or whatever I agree It makes no sense at all whatsoever that he remains online and hasn't been in legal troubles that was successful in giving him a criminal record (I'm not aware of that for the forest incident) if it's illegal which it should be
Really makes me be critical about just how real most of the bs he gets into is A good majority could or is staged. But just remember these people are so far removed from your life and it's a bad investment of time to constantly think of random r*t*rds rather focus on your life and the actions you take
bad publicity for logan doesnt matter anyway because he rotates his fanbase out in no time. i mean they grow up and new ones take the ranks. that, on top of children not caring about scandals anyway gives him pretty much immunity when it comes to bad publicity.
You really only have two valid choices when it comes to apologies. Either you realize what you’ve done is wrong and you apologize for it without excuses or you don’t think what you did was wrong so you stand by what you did/said and don’t apologize.
The sad thing is, she didn't really have much to apologize for except for a really old video that wouldn't have been super problematic at the time. She's such a wholesome person and it's a shame she got cancelled

I can remember times apologizing for my actions as a young adult and it actually adding fuel to the fire, it's like when sharks see an injured animal it's just blood in the water and people get emboldened by you backing down and just come at you harder. Stand your ground, unless it's actually something seriously messed up like claiming your gf died for likes 😂
How badly did someone have to f*ck up to let a judge like that exist? The kinda judge who takes "Dog that raises it's paw" and not only let that sh*t in a court room, but give it a guilty verdict?

@@Vibes472i died in this video when he said why make 20 min apology video , and his became exactly 20 min 😂
@@27forlife That's the exact moment on started literally laughing my ass off 😂
Same 😂😂😂
I was expecting bald asmongold thumbnail with the bald showering stream
same with half the dudes in this video, though
The thing about PewDiePie is he owned what he did. Didn't run from it, apologized, and moved forward. He got punished hard. I'm still pissed they took off Scare PewDiePie season 2 because of him. Even he said he wouldn't take money, because a lot of people worked on it that are now punished because of him.
The pewdiepie incident wasn't the instigator of the adpocalypse maybe the aggravator but not the instigator. A different article posted a week or two later was the cause. The article showed a bunch of weird racist videos with ads of big companies on the side.
Wasn’t it also elsagate around that time that helped kick star it
And one year later asmon makes a 20 minute apology video
I think the workers in that store also get social pressure to be the ones helping other customers feel safe in the store. I most certainly would feel sorry for other people in that store, and would want the disrespectful people to leave asap.
Asmongold,
I know this video is old, but got I love how you are just no filter and say what needs to be said. Great shit
If I stopped watching someone over something they did, I like to go watch their apology video just to laugh at them.
that best friend prank is something only the joker would do
i dont think countdankula ruined his image cuz he became a legend....also i never heard about pewdiepie fiver video I thought it was gunna be about the bridge
The fiver did not really ruin his image, atleast for most of his supporters, what happened is news medias took those fiver videos completely out of context to smear him but all of the people who watched those videos still saw him as this cool dude.
Sunny should include his recent mr beast vid in this one.
Drama channels destroying themselves is like a youtube injoke at this point.
Dankula doesn't belong on this list. What he did made people like him a ton more and his channel grew massively from it.
the best part about Toys r' us going out of business is i can add it to my work resume and dont need to list a number to call for a reference
anyone watching this after asmongold apology video ? :P
Aged like milk 😂
Asmongolds analysis is very good as far as understanding how hatred works. "People love to hate someone on the internet." sounds very authentic.
A teacher in high school taught me that for the most part if someone uses "if" or "but" in an apology, then they are bullshitting and usually don't mean a word of their apology.
"Everything that precedes a 'but' is bullshit" - The Hound, Game of Thrones
Damn, crazy how one moment it’s the Adpocalypse and then it’s 7 years later
NEW LOGAN PAUL CONTROVERSY: lunchly!!!!
Prime drinks have reached the point now where it’s even selling pretty well in the states. Pretty recently started having to stock it because of the owners where I work being fairly young so they take anything and everything influencer related. And of all the things we’ve tried Prime sells a fuck ton, and seemingly to all ages just from watching. Man definitely recovered by now if not moreso
Insurmountable amounts of pain knowing these people exist.
The pure irony of watching this video after seeing you're apology actually made me laugh more then it probably should have. haha
the fact Logan still has a channel after the forest thing is mindblowing
youtube had to kill that 5 years ago at least... i still remember the conversations with some friends in Japan about that, we all thought the channel was going to be deleted within a week or so, and he recovered
people didnt forget, just grow older xd, and new wave of dumb kids took over the views, and so on and so on after every controversy the king of douchebags has.
Makes me question the validity of the stunt, is there an absolute irrefutable way to verify it was a corpse? Or was it set-up with a manikin etc? I vaguely remember it and only really seeing the hands and abdomen as everything was blurred heavily
Which if real that's a no brainer why it would be so censored. But being suspicious makes you think there's plenty of room to be fake it given the blur they only need a silhouette of a person or whatever
I agree It makes no sense at all whatsoever that he remains online and hasn't been in legal troubles that was successful in giving him a criminal record (I'm not aware of that for the forest incident) if it's illegal which it should be
Really makes me be critical about just how real most of the bs he gets into is
A good majority could or is staged.
But just remember these people are so far removed from your life and it's a bad investment of time to constantly think of random r*t*rds rather focus on your life and the actions you take
bad publicity for logan doesnt matter anyway because he rotates his fanbase out in no time. i mean they grow up and new ones take the ranks. that, on top of children not caring about scandals anyway gives him pretty much immunity when it comes to bad publicity.
i hate sunnyv2's videos, but man I love watching asmons react to them.
Logan's Suicide Forest video is by far the _WORST_ of the controversies. Bar none.
when angry people demand an apology its really because they want the admission of guilt so they can hang you out to dry and not feel bad about it
34:22 SlayerMike718 ur a legend LOL
Dankula is still going strong.
the turtle made it to the water song at the end really adds
Watching this after Asmon just did an apology video himself lets see if he keeps to his own standards
You really only have two valid choices when it comes to apologies.
Either you realize what you’ve done is wrong and you apologize for it without excuses or you don’t think what you did was wrong so you stand by what you did/said and don’t apologize.
You're an adult
So were adding Zack to this now?
It doesn't matter if they're closing or not. That employee is badass for actually trying to stop these objective lamers by trying to stop them alone
Whatever goodwill and/or clever attempts at "image rehabilitation" Logan Paul implemented were all for naught in the wake of his latest exposed grift.
I still think Jenna Marbles has the best apology video. She wholeheartedly meant everything she said.
The sad thing is, she didn't really have much to apologize for except for a really old video that wouldn't have been super problematic at the time. She's such a wholesome person and it's a shame she got cancelled
What happened with her? Its been some time since I've seen anything related to her.
I love Asmon’s take on everything. So legit.
I think Asmon tries to encourage people to think for themselfs and not having the same opinion has him. You can agree or not
"Throw hands at the Toys-R-Us" is my new fav phrase
Damn that's actually really good advice 👏 👌.
He was saying this in reference to UA-camrs... definitely not every day life.
You probably weren't taking accountability
when I ran across this channel initially I thought yet another youtuber with no original content but I find your commentary quite entertaining now lol
People say there is no such thing as bad publicity because before social media, it was the truth. It has become less true for sure these days
the people who say that are rich. They say it because its true for them.
How badly did someone have to f*ck up to let a judge like that exist? The kinda judge who takes "Dog that raises it's paw" and not only let that sh*t in a court room, but give it a guilty verdict?
You're operating under a false presumption.
You assume free speech is a thing in other countries.
The count Dankula one was ridiculous, it was a joke. Some people have thick skins and some people don't, but a joke is a joke.
Germans don’t find it funny.
@@iiRaWDaWG I bet some Germans do though, and that's the point.
@@xAngoryx “some” yes no spine dweebs. Majority or Germans will kick your ass for speaking on it. He played stupid games and won stupid prizes🤣
Just seeing Markus' face in that intro I know this is going to be gold.
Pugs are going to make funny gestures I'm sure of it
Wait have I crossed into a parallel universe? I thought Sam Pepper got cancelled because he was pinching girl's butts as pranks.
Is this a Mandela effect?
Hahaha the first dude with the dead missus was as crazy 🤣🤣🤣 “on my dead girlfrieeeennd smash the like button guys” 😂😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
About the pewdiepie thing, it was obviously a joke. A hilarious joke to show the absurdity of the website. I'm Jewish and i laughed my ass off
Ya it’s just can be hard to forget 50 percent of ppl at least don’t have a sense of humor much at all.. I have several in my family.. they just don’t it’s like a total blank spot it’s weird to me 😂 .. they aren’t bad ppl tho btw
yeah it may be distasteful but then again adults are capable of choosing what they want to watch( at least they should be) and content creators aren't obligated to censor themselves so soothe peoples sentitive feelings.
i feel like "apology video" should be one of the stages of denial
The UK will literally fine you for doing anything that’s on a grey line between illegal and legal in our country just because the government has no money so needs to fine us to make some money😂
That moment when: "You are dead to me" goes serious mode!
The only problem with the "Killing best friend" thing is that an event does not need to be real to cause lifelong PTSD. The person it is being done to just needs to temporarily believe it is real and that their life is also in danger. "Just kidding" a few minutes later won't undo the trauma the brain/psyche experienced. That said, I'm not sure I expect kids that young to understand that, he wasn't trying to do any harm and I don't think he deserved to lose his channel over it.
i had a friend that pretended to shoot himself but it turns out the gun was actually loaded, rip james.
The Dankula situation is everything thats wrong with Scotland.
I really enjoyed this react. Not at all a fan of the new song at the end of the videos though. I miss the old song.
29:00 its about respect
Hopefully this don’t apply to you ❤️🙏🏼
Too late
Count Dankula is the GOAT
SUMMONS GIRLFRIEND AT 3AM, GONE WRONG, IN THE HOOD, GONE SEXUAL
CAUGHT IN 4K
That suit worn by PewDiePie is a British Army Uniform from WW2
