Weeks before this was filmed, Jim and Pam followed our High School Spanish Club on a visit to LA ALHAMBRA-GRANADA,Museum in Spain. It was April 10,1971 True. We didnt figure it out at the time but later realized they were the "two American hippies" listening in on our English version of the Museum Tour. Can read about his visit to that museum on that date in a book about Jim. They were very cool--would nod to us, but kept their distance as they followed us on the Tour. He had a beard at that time, she was beautiful. They were clearly in love with each other. Giggling and holding hands and enjoying that we didnt recognize them.
Thank you. Very interesting. Here’s an article I found www.vanitatis.elconfidencial.com/celebrities/2021-07-03/jim-morrison-alhambra-granada-visita-muerte_3163852/
Jim Morrison died July 3, 1971. Saw his grave in February 1987, 16 years after his death. The area was covered with graffiti and his marble bust over his grave was askew. I picked it up and straightened it up and the lady in the cemetery saw me and called the Gendarme on me!?!? They jumped out of their car with their MAS bullpup rifles but did nothing.

Thank you so much & subscribed! Massive Jim fan & always hoped we would see the movies Jim recorded while in Europe. So awesome to see Pam! 💖 RIP Jim & Pam 💖💖💖
This was 6 weeks before Jim died and Pam died 3 years later, both 27, both of heroin OD. I had a Super 8 camera as a teen. This is 3 minutes, the standard duration of a 50' 18fps reel. It was silent only until 1973 when they added a sound strip to the film. I've been to Père Lachaise Cemetery.
They were far from perfect. Fought like cats and dogs. Both were unfaithful to each other. Very tumultuous relationship. But everything I’ve learned says that they did indeed love each other tremendously and she was the only girl he loved. It was LA that made them behave badly. Once they got to Paris, things settled down for them. But by then, the damage to Jim’s body was already done …
Fascinating. Thank you for your efforts. A little close to the bone - an invasion into private moments that made me feel quite uncomfortable. One wishes that Jim and Pam could have become healthy and happy and lived a normal and banal but good life but it seems that by the time they got to Paris either or both of them may have been too far down their path of addiction to recover. They're still just kids in this footage (assuming that it is Jim filming) and could have lived for another 60 or more years.
According to members of the doors, Pam and Jim had a love-hate relationship. It was unfortunate Pam was a heroine accidict. She passed just two or three years after jim. Jims fortune went to Pam, and after Pam went to members of Pam's family. The morrison family sued, and the fortune was split between the two families. She still remains a bit of a mystery to me. Definitely rare footage of her..
Makes me sad :( They were so young and had so much life ahead of them. They probably had no idea they would both wind up passing away within a few years.
They probably did know. They were addicted to heroin which kills. Secondly Jim left his money to Pam in his will stating if she wasn’t alive then it went to his parents. He probably knew the end will be nearby.
No i’m sure Jim knew the end was near. he had such a preoccupation with death. He was never quite comfortable in his own skin. Alcohol really took a toll on him, and his body was already kind of breaking down… it’s no excuse for Pam to be an enabler though. A lot of people don’t know that when they were in Paris together, they actually spend very little time together… she was always out with Marianne Faithfull‘s boyfriend, getting high and hooking up with him. Jim spent a lot of time alone, walking around the streets of Paris. The woman who owned the hotel they were staying in said she really didn’t know they were even a couple because they didn’t spend a lot of time together. At least not at the hotel…But Jim was a big Oscar Wilde fan, and he knew that Oscar Wilde died at the same hotel. I don’t think he saw a big future for himself. It’s almost as if he went to Paris to die, but will never know..
@@ckotcher1 That is really interesting. Thanks for sharing. Definitely different perspective than books and media I’ve listened to painting Paris out to be a peaceful sanctuary where they were in love, free and at peace during their time there before Jim’s death.
@@rknrlgrl6146 Thanks i’ve done my homework. Most documentaries talk about Jim’s life and then Paris is kind of a footnote. Like “then he went to Paris and we never saw him after that” but there is one documentary that cuts to the truth and focuses completely on Paris and what happened there. They interview the hotel staff, Bill Siddons, and the friends Jim made while he was staying there. People love the idea of Pam and Jim the love story but they completely romanticize it without looking at the sad truth: And that is that she was an H addict. I don’t know if Jim thought getting out of LA would change that. if anything I think it might have been Pam’s idea. Look up this name: Count.Jean De Breteiul. He was a French aristocrat, Pamela’s ex-boyfriend and H dealer to the stars. Psm knew he was in Paris with Marianne (and lots of good H).. in this documentary a lot of people who were around them in gym’s last days say that Pam, and always come up to Jim and ask for large sums of money then disappear for hours on end leaving Jim to write or explore. By all accounts she was seeing Jean on the side or maybe even had a three-way thing with Jean and Marianne who knows. But most people believe now that Jim did some of Jean’s H and THAT is what killed him. Pam’s story has always been sketchy and she wanted to keep things under wraps even dodging Bill Siddons phone calls. Nobody besides Bill knew Jim was dead until 2-3 days after his death and some including his own parents didn’t find out until after the funeral which was only 10 minutes long and only 5 mourners including Pam, Bill, the couple they met in Paris but no Priest or family members. Immediately after Jim’s death, Marianne who is the only survivor of this mess and says Jean’s H killed Jim) and Jean would flee Paris and go to Morocco. Jean would Od a couple years later.
Absolutely, thank you for sharing. He shared part of his life and his music with us it’s nice to see a little bit from the inside. Some people live a life time in 27 years.
My family’s home movies were on 8mm. We’d play ours on a little projector that spooled the film. Looking back, how strange they didn’t have audio. As for this footage, just a girl frolicking in a cemetery. Too bad drugs cut their lives short. A real waste and sadness left for many in their wake.
I wonder why, when Pam died, how come they didn’t bury her with Jim?? it just doesn’t seem right for them not to be buried together. But it’s eerie that Jim is recording at a grave. He always seem to have a great intuition. On things ahead of Time…. Rest easy Jim.
I read somewhere that the Courson family had said that it was too complicated to get her body sent over to France so they just decided to cremate her. I’m sure Pamela would have wanted to be buried next to Jim, it’s what they both would have wanted. It’s just upsetting that her family couldn’t get past all the legal complications, however I would like to believe that somewhere in another life they are reconnected :)

To my brothers and sisters taking a walk in the underworld, let's be kind too each other's and connect with the eternal, grateful/authentic opened heart as a statement of blessing to the future world so it get all its acts together... this, one act of generosity/smile at the time...

I've seen Robbie say it was about L.A. But I think it could have been about both. I think Jim would have liked that. Pam, with her beautiful red hair. And I think he did love her.
It appears this film is about the afterlife from Jim Morrison's perspective. At least it seems that he purposely shot frames out-of-focus to communicate the transition. This is the first time I've seen it and I know almost nothing about Jim Morrison.
@@oneheadlight7172 I thought the same when first watching this, and then watching it again much later. I thought that he was getting used to the operation of the camera, but also doing it on purpose for his reasons alone.
He graduated from University, UCLA, i think in1965. His major was movie. So, i guess, he knew what he was doing. Academic, talented person. An icon, a legend.
Pamela Courson was too much gorgeous . She was sexy and so beautiful . How i wish she could be there in this World . Life is beautiful . God bless Pamela Courson. Holy Spirit for her . Amen .
Is this the very cemetery Morrison was hastily laid to rest in a short time after ? There are many cemeteries in Paris, so perhaps not. But the silence adds a somber undercurrent - given how fate was stalking both of them. We are all here for a flickering moment in the sum of it. They seemed happy in Paris.
This footage is both erie and romantic. Jim had many facets. He was rage and sex. He was intellectual and brutish, peaceful and unsettling. Pam may have been his muse. I can't help but feel sad to see her skipping through the cemetery and how each of them felt so comfortable and secure among the dead. Surely they both understood that the course they were taking was leading towards an untimely end. Maybe in this moment the fame and the pressure of the persona of being Jim Morrison as the public came to know him faded away and he felt some level of bliss looking at his love through the lens. Maybe a message being sent that it would only be through the escape of death that they might feel free enough to enjoy each other in that way. I find the location of the cemetary interesting as he pans in and out of focus on Pam and the images of the head stones. I dont know really, but theres something more they're expressing here.

Didn't Jim go to film school? His camera work is beyond terrible. Still interesting to see from a historical point of view, such a shame he had zero concept of how to use a camera.
Fascinated by death and tombstones There is some footage of ROBBY KRIEGER and me walking through a graveyard in Schwabing/Munich,next to where I lived and went jogging on a regular basis .The footage was done by the then president of the German DOORS club,a friend both of Robby and myself, who ended up writing a 300 pages book on Jim Morrison in Paris, which I tried to market in the US..but didn't succeed.
I wish he gave her the camera to record him. I don't think I have seen any footage of him in Paris. Also, two people can visit a cemetery without it having to be morbid. They were just young adults in their 20s visiting Paris. The weird comments about them knowing when exactly they will die are absurd.
If you've ever been in a situation even remotely similar to how their lives unfolded, you're well aware that the odds of you joining the forgotten masses in their necropolis sooner than later aren't stacked in your favour, whether conscious or subconsciously. And either you'll fear it tremendously (but probably not enough to safe yourself), or you'll trick yourself into believing that you've come to accept it.

So cool! Seeing this makes me so glad for them that they had this time together before he passed. 🥺💖
Thank you so much for sharing this video with all of us, it's really nice to see a relaxed Pam jumping and dancing among the gravestones. Surely they spend a nice time there :)
My pleasure.
The lack of sound adds to its beauty
To you maybe
@@adonaiyah2196 hello?
I was almost going to comment, wish we had the sound, and decided not to. May be better this way. I agree, it adds a sort of wistful beauty, with a touch of mystery. I wouldn't mind if someone could tell us what she was saying though.
@swannoir
An earlier comment stated that he asked her to dance for him and she said,
"I don't want to...".
Thank you . I honestly love you for sharing this treasure. You are truly a beautiful , kind and generous person. Love from🇨🇦
Thank you for the nice compliment. Happy to share it.
Thank you so much & subscribed! Massive Jim fan & always hoped we would see the movies Jim recorded while in Europe. So awesome to see Pam! 💖 RIP Jim & Pam 💖💖💖
Very cool classic footage, glad it's preserved
Yes visited Jim's grave and Oscar Wilde's etc and such a beautiful cemetery and of course peaceful🙏💜🎶
Shit happens!
I have too. It's an interesting cemetery
Pamela was still running around with that Count. She was obsessed with both Jim and that young Count.
Piękne, smutne, poruszające; gdzieś jest więcej takich taśm.
Piękne, smutne, poruszające, couldn't agree more. Gdzieś jest więcej takich taśm, maybe not so much.
Pam was beautiful, but drugs kill, and drugs killed them both. Jim loved her, but her addiction ended his life and soon hers. So sad.
Such a waste. Such a beautiful girl.
Just like Sid and Nancy
This is so cool and Pam is gorgeous. I always wondered where the film of their trip went. Hope the rest shows up someday
That would be great, if there is more. It would be cool to see Jim, as well.
Pams family probably has it
Romeo and Juliet, as Ray Manzarek, another poetic soul, called them.
Or Sid and Nancy
Fascinating. Thank you for your efforts. A little close to the bone - an invasion into private moments that made me feel quite uncomfortable. One wishes that Jim and Pam could have become healthy and happy and lived a normal and banal but good life but it seems that by the time they got to Paris either or both of them may have been too far down their path of addiction to recover. They're still just kids in this footage (assuming that it is Jim filming) and could have lived for another 60 or more years.
Why did Jim and Pamela go to Paris?
@@theresaakins2317 he was facing a possible conviction in the U.S. for the Florida incident.
Sad and true. Poor Jim was already in late stages of alcoholism by this point, I think.
@@charlesdrake3125 I think he was already found guilty and sentenced. The appeal was pending and he was on bail.
Was Pam already a junkie when she met Jim?
Great footage
She had a really cute look. Sad how her life ended the way it did. Tragic both she and Jim.
She had that sort of innocent girl look, cute for sure a real perfect example of a hippie chick
I am glad I lived to finally see it all.
Our spirit energy can't be destroyed we will all meet again and again ✌️
Walking around like a ghost in the cemetery kind of Erie to watch now. Rip 🌹
Yep,just thee months before he’d be buried in one.
@@boataxe4605 Pretty creepy indeed.
@@boataxe4605Just six weeks prior to his death, not three months.
Thank You for posting this. I have always been a DOORS fan. Such sad endings for them both.
Thank you so much for this.
Soulmates are always destined to die together.
Too bad this gem doesn't have audio.
R.I.P Jim & Pam. Forever.💐💖
(Unlike the comments section..)
This film is excellent!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the upload. 👍 ✌️
My first thought was Jim Jim graduated Film School and this is not filmed like someone that graduated Film School
Or......someone very drunk graduated film school 😂😂
Absolutely, thank you for sharing. He shared part of his life and his music with us it’s nice to see a little bit from the inside.
Some people live a life time in 27 years.
My family’s home movies were on 8mm. We’d play ours on a little projector that spooled the film. Looking back, how strange they didn’t have audio. As for this footage, just a girl frolicking in a cemetery. Too bad drugs cut their lives short. A real waste and sadness left for many in their wake.
You're exactly right... sadness for many in their wake. Unfortunately, drug users aren't too concerned about those closest to them.
Haunting
I think there was some bad blood there, btwn the Morrisons and Pam, over Jim's estate. I should add, if what I read is true...ya never know.
@@qmnnvrdyz8965 well i seen it and it was said by the doors road manager that she was the worst thing that ever happen to Jim. And he should know. Eye witness accountant. Tbh. But i think even Ray and the guys said she was just bad for him. Toxic

Special video of the beautiful Pamela in Paris France for her love ❤James .
Let's live so our loved ones are gonna be at least less sorry that we are, in our aching heart.
You're realizing, that good memories are in the same basket as the un-healing wounds that are tattooed in our hearts, only when you get older.
It's effing hurt.
To my brothers and sisters taking a walk in the underworld, let's be kind too each other's and connect with the eternal, grateful/authentic opened heart as a statement of blessing to the future world so it get all its acts together... this, one act of generosity/smile at the time...
Nicely written. Thank you for taking the time.
I was very fortunate to visit Jim's grave in Paris ! They say that it's the only one continually guarded by security. I think Jim would have gotten a kick out of it !
Qu'est-ce qu'elle était belle et radieuse, et tellement mystérieuse!
"I see your hair is burning,
Hills are filled with fire.
If they say I never loved you,
You know they are a liar."

Pamela is stunning and I understand how and why she was Jim's muse.
But actually, Jim was paying homage to his favorite city, Los Angeles...outlying fires in the hills around LA did happen back then...and still do.
@@curbozerboomer1773indeed, it had nothing to do with Pam.
I've seen Robbie say it was about L.A. But I think it could have been about both. I think Jim would have liked that. Pam, with her beautiful red hair. And I think he did love her.
I think Jim was drunk when he filmed this.
I’m seasick from watching
the way she is galloping around the graveyard confirms to me that she was batshit crazy
Almost witchy
“Maybe I was just crazy maybe it was the 60s”
60s chicks give off that vibe to me. Joplin, Slick, Faithfull etc..love Janis though. She was so cool.
She looks silly to me. Good for a laugh
Hahaha
Really beautiful girl..... Very emotional...
Incredible. With gratitude
It appears this film is about the afterlife from Jim Morrison's perspective. At least it seems that he purposely shot frames out-of-focus to communicate the transition. This is the first time I've seen it and I know almost nothing about Jim Morrison.
You are the first person to suggest the out-of-focus sections were purposely done. I agree
@@Marija-dx4vzBut remember that most probably he was stoned immaculate while filming this
I can see why Jim never made it as a movie maker

She was such a beauty. I can see why she was a muse to Morrison.
she was anything special as good looking women go
@@benadams1661 "Anything special"? What do you mean?..I think you mean that she was good-looking--but not great-looking, right?
She had beautiful red hair. You don’t see cute natural red heads much anymore. All too caught up in peroxide.
Thank you. This was why UA-cam was invented.
Perfect couple ❤ He truly loved Pam .
Oneheadlight, thanks for sharing this with us, the Riders on the Storm. 💔 ☮
Its my pleasure…really .👍
She seemed like a sweet person.
But psicodelic like acid.
She was a slag. Give over!
You cannot tell such things just by a person's appearance!
She looks angelic and innocent, but looks are deceptive. She was a toughie by all accounts.
After her fix.
I’m going to watch this a million times
That’s all? ;)
Wow this is a first!, probably not long after this Jim heard the scream of the butterfly...
Very nice footage Too bad there isn’t any sound
Jim studied film. He must have been absent when they taught focus and framing a shot.
Or maybe he was sober that day
🤣🤣🤣
OMG 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 this is so cool... she’s picking Poppy flowers at the end..... foreshadowing♾️
Thank you💚💚
This footage is both erie and romantic.
I can read lips- she is saying, "You are, you're perfect and I love you always and for all eternity'.... that is what I see her saying. Kim
Thank you🙏🏼♥️
@@NataschaBianca Surely, I was partially deaf as a teen and I learned to read lips :). Thanks for saying that ......:) Have a super night and listen to Jim Morrison all the time- read his poetry it is lovely. He wrote one poem about a sparrow- lovely.... Kimberly
Wow-- I can't believe it. She said that exactly.. how beautiful
I think is not what she say...absolutely
The sixties and early seventies...i was 18 in 68....mostly bullshitters who ended up going home to mommy and daddy. Tough times for the lazy crowd who thought they could stone their way to happiness. The seedy pot with sticks and twigs . Parks full of confused lazy kids. The music was incredible the smell of incense. Tie dyes...head bands...beads...loved it loved it loved it.
seeing Pam in that diaphanous white blouse makes her appear ghostly.
also, his images were out of focus at some moments. only contributing to the ghostly-like image of Pam.

Jim had some problems focusing in close ups.
Didn't Jim go to film school? His camera work is beyond terrible. Still interesting to see from a historical point of view, such a shame he had zero concept of how to use a camera.
Or he was simply drunk af
@@femme-mirage I don't know why I did think of that.

There is some footage of ROBBY KRIEGER and me walking through a graveyard in Schwabing/Munich,next to where I lived and went jogging on a regular basis .The footage was done by the then president of the German DOORS club,a friend both of Robby and myself, who ended up writing a 300 pages book on Jim Morrison in Paris, which I tried to market in the US..but didn't succeed.
What year was your footage taken? Do you still have a copy of the book? I’d love to see it!
I wish he gave her the camera to record him. I don't think I have seen any footage of him in Paris. Also, two people can visit a cemetery without it having to be morbid. They were just young adults in their 20s visiting Paris. The weird comments about them knowing when exactly they will die are absurd.
They are in Corsica.
there are lots of pics of jim and pam in paris.
