Jim Morrison shot this super 8 film of Pam Courson during their 10 day tour of Corsica, France in mid May 1971. Only ever written about in Patricia Butler’s book Angel Dance & Angels Die this film has never been shown publicly until now - Sept 20, 2021. “On everyday it rained but one. Pamela said it was idyllic.” This film was shot on that one sunny day. Jim may have watched this film on the ni...

This is amazing! Thank you for this!❤
Frolicking around in a cemetery, of all places. Jim himself would be in a grave 2 months after he filmed this. Pam would also be gone just 3 years later.
Hello are u in there?
I was very fortunate to visit Jim's grave in Paris ! They say that it's the only one continually guarded by security. I think Jim would have gotten a kick out of it !
The Bonnie to his Clyde. I don't believe she helped him much. She may have been his muse and were grateful for that, but who takes a drunkard to France?
Like he knew that this is going to be his place of rest...
Special video of the beautiful Pamela in Paris France for her love ❤James .
Dancing? Or running crazily in a cemetery. Makes alot of sense. Her and Jim were both drugballs.
Re like 🚬😎🍺😊👍🏻
Ghosts of along time ago
Drugs were a lot stronger in those days,, and Jim used lots of coke and booze,
Two beautiful, talented people brought down by drugs and alcohol. What a waste.
Sad video. Really sad.
OMG 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 this is so cool... she’s picking Poppy flowers at the end..... foreshadowing♾️
too bad that Jim Morrison didn't live long enough to actually direct a few real films.
I just watched Jim's original film, a real treasure, and now this Part 2 follow-up of a visit to the same place 50 years later is one of the best finds on the Internet as far as I am concerned. @oneheadlight7172, I am amazed you even found the right cemetery, not sure how you did that. But moreover, I am gobsmacked at how you were able to match things up and literally stand in Jim's footsteps, while filming them. It is nice to see that so many of the photos, crosses, etc, have survived. So much is as it was although it seemed greener, more inviting back when they visited. But you were even able to match up a tree stump to a tree that was there at the time? Just amazing work! I feel that the rest of us are lucky indeed that you came into possession of Jim's film. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Would love to hear any of your stories about how you found the cemetery or any of the things in it. The whole thing must have been quite an adventure. I know I can feel like I've done a major accomplishment just by finding someone's grave in a cemetery I know they are in, LOL. Hats off to you. And do you have any more projects like this in mind? Watching this, knowing what happens, and so soon afterwards, makes it haunting and sort of dream-like. Thank you for posting it.
Pretty disrespectful to be filming, dancing and flailing around on hallowed ground. It’s really not cool to have a play date at the cemetery. Why do so many talented ppl have to be such assholes?
no disrespect but this is as close to skimping in the cemetery as anyone will get.
It’s looks so much much more barren now compared to the super 8. There were more trees and grass. Interesting.
Jim’s filming skills really sucked . Lol
She was a total mess of a person, like Nancy Spungen from Sid and Nancy. Jim still would have died young without her because he was so committed to oblivion.
She does remind me of Nancy despite the differing looks. I feel very sad for them both.
thank you very much for making this video, it's really cool you could identify the cementery from the video, find it and then film in it!!! thank you very much for sharing, it's much appreciated!! 😃😃😃😃😄🤩🤩
@@lqueenies60s90s my pleasure
Die war komplett irre! Schade, dass Jim ihr verfiel! Lass dich nie mit Junkies ein! 👿👿👿👿😭😭😭😭
Nico was another she makes Pamela look like a Nun
He loved her and she him❤❤
Very haunting. Clearly a premonition.
Courson c'est Un nom français
Can't say he was much of a filmmaker after all.
Pamela ;❤ Queen of the Haiway , me imagino que estará viva ... Un abrazo.
Eerie that she is dancing in the cemetery

This footage is both erie and romantic. Jim had many facets. He was rage and sex. He was intellectual and brutish, peaceful and unsettling. Pam may have been his muse. I can't help but feel sad to see her skipping through the cemetery and how each of them felt so comfortable and secure among the dead. Surely they both understood that the course they were taking was leading towards an untimely end. Maybe in this moment the fame and the pressure of the persona of being Jim Morrison as the public came to know him faded away and he felt some level of bliss looking at his love through the lens. Maybe a message being sent that it would only be through the escape of death that they might feel free enough to enjoy each other in that way. I find the location of the cemetary interesting as he pans in and out of focus on Pam and the images of the head stones. I dont know really, but theres something more they're expressing here.
Her wandering & playing around cemetary is so disturbing
Just lovely : " little did they know they would be " dead " in a cemetery " because of herion"😢😢😮😮😮😮😮 ( don't do drugs ) the end
french graveyard. how could he know?
Jim apparently didn't pay attention at UCLA film school.
She’s was very disrespectful in the cemetery.
She thought it was fun..
Woooow man I just asked in an other vid with the short film by Jim where exactly in Corsica it was shot, and BAM I click on your vid now :) I mean, I know Corsica, but first, I was thinking that maybe Pam and Jim were inside Ajaccio cemetery, and now after having seen your film and the beginning with the sea soooo close to the cemetery, I understand it is clearly NOT Ajaccio, but still can't put a precise name on the place !!! So can you help me with more info please ???? Thanks a lot in advance ;) VIVA JIM MORRISON :)
Saint Flourent. They’re both my videos
@@oneheadlight7172 Ooooooh OK they're both your vids sorry 😁😅 And thank you for the answer ! So it is Saint Florent... I know the cult no wave french singer Lizzy Mercier Descloux died there in 2004 at only 47... She was among other things a friend of Patti Smith and they made together a famous cool photoshoot inspired by Rimbaud (the genius poet also loved by Jim !!!)... I think she is buried in the Saint Florent cimetery... Anyway, thank you again for your very quick and very useful answer and your beautiful vids :)
@@StephenDedalus74 yes Lizzie died in Saint Flourent but I didn’t know she was buried there - interesting. I’ll checkout the photo shoot.
@@oneheadlight7172 Just a little info I found : Lizzy lived in Saint-Florent from the nineties till her death from cancer (sooo tragic and sad and unfair :( and when she died her ashes were scattered in the sea, in the bay of Saint-Florent, by her relatives (as she wanted). So I'm not sure there is a grave in the cemetery (but sometimes there is one even when there is a cremation). Anyway, thank you again ;)
I'm a fan of Jim and I find fascinating and poetic this short film :) I know Corsica but was wondering where exactly it was shot ! Does anyone know ?? Is it the Ajaccio cemetery ? Somewhere else in Corsica ?? And by the way, what were doing Jim and Pam in Corsica in may 1971 ? I mean, was there a peculiar reason for this trip and this destination ?? If someone can give me more info I would really appreciate thanks in advance !!!!! :)
They went to try Corsican wine. I’m sure Napoleons birth place in Ajaccio would have interested Jim too.
@@oneheadlight7172 OK ! Corsican wine is fine if you ask me (but not as good as the italian of course !!! ;) By the way fun fact : Nietzsche (one of Jim's readings if I'm correct ??) said several times he would like to go to Corsica but eventually never did the trip... Anyway thank you again :)
@@StephenDedalus74 Corsica is beautiful - been twice and drove all around the island. Glad we found the cemetery. My pleasure
I live in Corsica, i'd like to know the location of this cemetery too
@@antwo8791 Hello, the person having made this vid told me on another vid comment section it was Saint-Florent actually ;)
It looks like Natalie Portman finally went digital...
Good thing Jim was a writer and singer because he couldn't work a camera worth a damn.
pentecostal Pam
I can see why Jim never made it as a movie maker
We are the living, for a little while.
Great footage
For a film student….. his technical use of a camera is shocking😂🤦🏻♂️
She killed him with her herion . That’s on her
Romeo and Juliet, as Ray Manzarek, another poetic soul, called them.
