Good morning! Thank you for the video rebuild, Mr. Marty. Most folk would not give that poor, beaten up toy a second look but you have polished it up and revealed the Gem that was hidden by the wear of Time.
I dont know if you really understand how much of a difference you make to your fans. You might, but I just wanted to say it just lights up my day when you post a video. Because when life is going badly, I know that if nothing else, I have a Marty video to look forward to. Thank you.
Marty and I did not plan to do the same casting . . . Great minds think alike? I started "baking" paint earlier this year and it works great! Nice job Sir Martin! ⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️
I know what you mean about baking the paint! - Wished I knew about this earlier. It sure does speed things up and I have also said goodbye to fingerprints on the finished models which always used to p##s me off when viewing the highly magnified final reveal!
Very nice, what a treat to sit back, relax with a cuppa, some mint slice biscuits watch and this vid after a very busy sunday. That orange/red colour really makes the coca-cola signs POP. excellent work Marty.
The 'coke powered' belch is the giveaway that Kevin is draining his employee discount to the max! Love these older models, they have a timelessness to them that hints of older days and many owners through several generations.
Another fine rescue restoration. I thought that casting had seen its better days after you stripped it but you proved me wrong, looks like better days are still ahead. Thanks for sharing Mike from Texas,Take Memories,Leave Footprints
This is yet another cracking good restoration, by the way! I remember playing with so many of your subjects as a child and it brings back so many happy memories seeing these models being brought back to good health.
Very nice indeed as the colors match my logo. 😉 Thanx for sharing this, Marty. I am always amazed at your craftmanship! Best regards from Germany, Volker
An awful dark gray sunday morning at the northsea-shore. But.... what's that? A new MMM video. Where's my cup of coffee? Yep, I've got it. First a like and now, let's enjoy it.....😁☕ Awesome work, Mate. All three of them turned out brilliant. Once again, well done Marty 👍👍👍 Thanks for sharing this little bit of sunshine and best regards to You, Julie and the whole gang behind the camera. And, of course KEVIN🐨 👍👍👍😁
Great vid. You must have a sizeable collection of superbly restored models by now. Any chance you could do a video showing them all in your display case - it would be nice to see them all. Just a suggestion.
Marty having now caught the Matchbox bug the 37a was my very first restoration and boy was it hard getting the paint out from around the tops of the crates but it came good in the end. So thank you for opening up a new and interesting hobby. Now I'm Grasshopper you are Master!
Happy memories as I worked for C W S soft drinks in the U K.The little Commer Carrier truck was Ideal for pop delivery door to door. Enjoyed the drive and comfort in the cab.
Lots of pitting to deal with on this seemingly straightforward model. Came out very well in the end. The decals on the sides of the rear looked awkward to do. Proper job!
My goodness! I have one of these Coca Cola trucks in my closet. I’ve never seen another one. Excellent restoration-I’ll have to dig mine out and see how beat up it is. :)
Thanks Marty! I’ve restored both types of this model and they do look superb, just like yours. All that extra work for the sketches is appreciated, the restoration is hard work enough but to add something extra is going the extra mile!
Thank you Marty for another entertaining video. I enjoy every one and always look forward to them. I would love to see a video tour of your collection. You must have an entire wing of the estate roped off to contain them all.
Very nice Marty! Your strict commitment to original condition is great, I really appreciate it! But every now & then, let yourself get a little crazy & try a custom! I'd love to see where your creativity would go! The "Mr. Bean" car project was equally enjoyable! Thank you for the entertainment! 😊
This was another great tutorial! I liked the history of the models and the other two #37's you restored were as good as this one. They all three look like Lesney just made them. There were a lot of very good tips and techniques in this as well and I will certainly watch this again. Thanks for all of your effort in making these tutorials.
Love those type of tractors (ie cabover engine). Up Over they were a response to the overall lengths placed on lorry's on the road. A really nice save of a well played with toy. Narragansett Bay
Amazing work there Marty. It is to bad they didn't put a rear bumper on it to hide where the base slips into the body. I do have the one without the base for that reason alone. Like how you get the color shading correct!🔥🔥🔥
Wow! I would say that you really did a nice job on this model, Marty! I'm especially impressed with all the damage that has been repaired, and I feel like your painting skills have really come a long way since you started these videos! I own one of the 1960 versions of this Coke truck, and since I worked at a Coca-Cola plant as a teenager, I've actually seen one of the 1940s yellow Coca-Cola delivery trucks up close, and they were beauties! I particularly enjoyed seeing all three of your restorations at the end of the video! I don't have one of the '50s unbalanced load Lesney trucks so I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for one of those in the future. A very nice bit of restoration, man!
When I can't fall asleep, I find one of Marty's videos. They are just so wonderfully SOOTHING. Marty, have you ever considered offering your voice to the narration of videos for children? Seriously.
Another great job Marty, I have both this one and the no base one on my desk awaiting a restoration so this video was quite timely as was Time Riders makeover of the same model this week.
One of my 1st and favorite cars . Father gave me the 37 18 c Bulldozer with man and BEA coach in the early 1960s. The BEA coach was perfect for our N gage train set
You should get a cheap tooth cleaning "water pik" and use it like a pressure washer. They're what I would use to "pressure wash" my older models to get the dust off without rubbing!

@@MartysMatchboxMakeovers A fingerprint led to my purchase of a toaster oven . . . not unlike yours!
Another excellent restoration! That Coke truck is one of my favorites. Glad you rescued it
Nicely done, Sir. The body repair work was very clean indeed.
Very nice, what a treat to sit back, relax with a cuppa, some mint slice biscuits watch and this vid after a very busy sunday. That orange/red colour really makes the coca-cola signs POP. excellent work Marty.
Well done, sir. Always a pleasure to see you work your magic.

That satin black is such a great looking color for the base! Nice work, Marty!
Another fine rescue restoration.

Fantastic work, your attention to detail is inspiring! Such a simple model but one of the best - their older diecast are so much better...
Nice job Marty. Good repair on the cab.
Simple but very rewarding restoration.
Brilliant makeover Marty 😁
Its wonderful to see you wearing rubbergloves. Good role model 👍
This is yet another cracking good restoration, by the way! I remember playing with so many of your subjects as a child and it brings back so many happy memories seeing these models being brought back to good health.

Once again, Kevin is up to his old tricks.
Nice job on this one Marty. I can never get the super glue to sand that well. Thanks!

A beautiful Marty restoration.
You and Kevin are a beautiful couple in the cabin.
Great restoration again this time, Marty! You are the best.
But try to do something about Kevin's digestion!
Very nicely done. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Marty !!!. Happy holidays to you and your family !.
Wow. It looks brand new mate. Superb job and kevin was being cheeky as usual lol
Isn't it exiting to be the first one to see in the Modell since it was manufactured in England ;-)
Fabulous once again!
Love these older models. I've never been to England, but I can picture this vehicle driving around town making deliveries . Very cool.
one of my favorites. nice job
