Congratulations to Alan on his success as hide and seek championship of 1995. He went the full mile and it cost him his life, but that my friends is determination!
So I am not the only one who reads the newspaper headlines that line these boxes for Marty. Sometimes I think he picks the headline that sort of fits the restoration he's doing.
A couple of months ago, Marty said that he planned to do the "ROAD-TRAIN" when he "breaks the 100k sonicwall" of subscribers...... I guess, he couldn't wait that Long and so he did it already 😁😁😁 But I've got the feeling there's coming up something very special, when he reaches 100k of subscribers........ 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great to see the Crash Truck with the Lightning - exactly the right vintage for the Alvis Salamander/Foamite Crash Tender. As children we used to sit in the crash trucks on bonfire night at the edge of the runway and switch the sirens and lights on, to our parents annoyance lol.
I just realized that Marty has given me an analog to my childhood. I used to look forward to Saturday mornings so that I could watch cartoons. Now, I look forward to Saturday so that I can watch Marty's Matchbox Makeovers! Thanks Marty! Great job and fun to watch.
The Airport Fire Tender was always one of my favorite Matchbox models. I think I had at least three and all of them had the gold foam nozzle. I did not know there was a silver one. This restoration brought back a lot of happy memories of hours playing with my collection of cars and trucks with friends. I always enjoy watching you turn a mess into a masterpiece and being willing to send a box you made through email is simply first class. The detail of your steps in the restoration process is really one of the best parts as I always learn something new. Thanks for taking the time to share this.
OH MY GOD! I had this one when I was younger. I'm only 21, but my dad passed this one down to me when I was younger. This thumbnail gave me a wave of nostalgia.
Thank you very much Marty! Exactly the model that i want to see be restored. Lovely & enjoyable job with it, plus the homemade Matchbox case detail, very nice!
Mother F - indeed! All that not withstanding, its another amazing makeover. You did great, considering what the model is to start with. In my opinion, not one of Matchbox's better products - but you salvaged it and made it appear so much better. Thanks, Mate!
Awesome. Factory fresh. That rung on the ladder that you had to cut out and repaint, totally professional. Can't tell that it was cut out at all. Very nice job. Looks like it came straight out of the box. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You are in the top three of the best toy car restoration channels on the internet number one Marty's Matchbox makeovers number one Matchbox garage number one diecast Resurrection. All three number one. Top of the mountain. Thanks for posting.
Another Martynificent Makeover! I know the worlds top Hide and Seeker worked with me. He was always in one of the seven company buildings. In reality he was running a lawn care business! Narragansett Bay.
Another fantastic job! I love your little green screen bits where you're standing next to the vehicle. I saw a real one of these last year at a classic vehicle pageant, but it was in military forest green.
Super job, the color seems to have come out well. The pipes and ladder add just that touch of realness to make your work look all that much better. Keep up the work and get some gloves on, safety first.
Marty when you do the " full size " general inspections you need to give the tyres a kick as well . You did a good repair job with the ladder a blind man " would be happy to see that " Proper job !!
I had one as a boy - put it under one of those projector jobs so I could make a drawing of it. And the light bulb inside melted the tires and suspension wings. Then a few years back, I managed to order one from a guy new in box. (pre-EBAY) Still have that one MINT. Thanks Marty - and yes, I am one who believes you pick your airbrush booth newspapers to entertain us.
I restored one of those crash tenders I found on Ebay- I would love to report mine came out as well but I'm happy with mine! Great job as always Marty 👍
Big Congrats to the hide and seek champion!! HE WON!!!!!!! I noticed "Kevin" seemed to be hiding too. I wonder if he locked poor Alan in that closet??!!
Great start to this rainy Saturday, morning fresh coffee and a new Marty's video. The foamite truck looks great and ready for action thanks to your skilled attention. The bloopers at the end are too funny, keep up the awesome work looking forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing Mike from Texas,Take Memories,Leave Footprints
The pipes on the roof are known as hard suction, and were used in conjunction with a basket strainer and metal filter and was used for drawing water from ponds, lakes and other open water sources. The foam nozzle is known as a monitor. Again a great job.
You're absolutely right, Mate... It looks "Marty-fine" 👍👍😁 And once again...... My Saturday is complete... Beautiful restoration 👍 And the headline of your "spraybooth-paper"....... I was nearly falling of the Couch, laughing 😁😁😁 body of hide and seek world champion found in cupboard (just like his dad) 😂😂😂 Greetings from the northsea-shore to down under..... 👍😁
I always go nite-nite and watch these videos. I dream of Kevin and I going to many beautiful places in Australia. (I am in the US.) Though I fear if I ever did go anywhere with Kevin, he might ruin the entire trip somehow.
Hi Marty, you are amazing with your 3D printer, please make some replacements for those shoddy parts you bought. The model is good but the plastic additions could be so much better. Great make-over!
Here's a tip for axles: Put one end in a drill, and then while it's spinning, wrap some fine sandpaper around it. Once you're done, flip it around and do the same to the end that was in the drill. Great work on that crash tender though!
Wow another terrific restoration great work Marty . Julie should put a swear box in the hobby room she could afford a security system for her long suffering tooth brush.
It’s a recycled article he used last year as well, getting lazy Marty?😉
Hear hear! Alan will be sadly missed by the hide and seek community.
Actually according to the article it was his dad that was the 1995 champ...
@@colinjohnston8519 if only Alan's life had not tragically ended he was sure to have claimed the title just like his father.
99K Marty !! Have you got a 100K video planned ? Whatever you do i'm looking forward to it. You deserve that play button.
A couple of months ago, Marty said that he planned to do the "ROAD-TRAIN" when he "breaks the 100k sonicwall" of subscribers......
I guess, he couldn't wait that Long and so he did it already 😁😁😁
But I've got the feeling there's coming up something very special, when he reaches 100k of subscribers........ 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Marty I think you need to get a swear jar for the hobby room, maybe then you could afford a new spray gun LOL
Lmao , I was thinking that , what a potty mouth ! 😮
Great to see the Crash Truck with the Lightning - exactly the right vintage for the Alvis Salamander/Foamite Crash Tender. As children we used to sit in the crash trucks on bonfire night at the edge of the runway and switch the sirens and lights on, to our parents annoyance lol.
Marty you are the most enjoyable person to listen too and have such a wonderful sense of humour. Thank you once again.
I just realized that Marty has given me an analog to my childhood. I used to look forward to Saturday mornings so that I could watch cartoons. Now, I look forward to Saturday so that I can watch Marty's Matchbox Makeovers! Thanks Marty! Great job and fun to watch.

I heard that there were just a few that were put into their boxes upside-down. Those have to be worth a lot more now, right?
Marty has 2 kinds of audience:
Those who watch for the make over and those who wait for the tabloids.
Or both ( hint : me ) 😁
Both really
kinda makse you wonder if there real,
@ss 4 kinds, those who watch out for what Kevin does next
I always forget to check the tabloids. Dang it!
THANK YOU...for sharing. Enjoyed.
Mnother great restoration Marty! Congratulations!!
OH MY GOD! I had this one when I was younger. I'm only 21, but my dad passed this one down to me when I was younger. This thumbnail gave me a wave of nostalgia.
it looks pretty nice good job maybe paint the plastic supporting the "words" the same red as body to blend it in
Another Fire Vehicle to add to your Fire Fighting set.
Nice job with the box too!
Juhu you did it again. You give this little car a new life
Another great video! Brilliant fix with the ladder. You really can't tell anything is wrong. Looking forward to the next makeover!
Thank you very much Marty! Exactly the model that i want to see be restored. Lovely & enjoyable job with it, plus the homemade Matchbox case detail, very nice!

Alright! Couldn’t sleep until I watch Marty do another fantastic makeover! Cheers from America!
Great job Marty... another one for the books...and who knew that hide-and-seek was a really dangerous sport...wow.
You have a complete professional Matchbox makeover set-up at home. Everything needed to do a fine job. I envy you, mate!
Martys Medicated Makeover! Thanks Marty!
Nice, i like the box too, a good finishing touch.
Another fine job. The box is a great touch of class to a classic piece. Love it
Do more boxes, Marty! Love your work!
Beautiful restoration Marty. Gotta watch those spoon handles. It's all fun and games until some one looses an eye.
Marty, I really feel for you. Sometimes nothing goes right. Great looking Fire Truck!
I look forward to Saturdays for many reasons, but these videos are one of the main reasons! Cheers!
Had a great time watching as always.
i love the headlines that you use in your spray booth they are always great!

Mother “beep”, that is one mighty fine restoration. Great job as always Marty. And a very ingenious fix on that ladder- it looks wonderful.
It came out "Marty Fine" indeed.
Thanks for sharing...
Awesome, Marty you really put this old Matchbox in the DeLorean… and without Doc... 😀😀😀
Famously used as a vehicle in the background of shots in the 1960's TV series Thunderbirds
What he really needs is a "___ Days Since Last KEVIN! Incident" sign...
You crack me up. Love the spoon gag lol.
Fire truck was cool too.
Wow! Just amazing job Marty!!
One of my favorite castings. I still have mine from childhood. I painted it green to resemble a military truck :)
Quit a unique model, I've never seen that one before. Great job!
Marty your skills have improved 1000% since you first started!! Great restoration!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Another Martynificent Makeover! I know the worlds top Hide and Seeker worked with me. He was always in one of the seven company buildings. In reality he was running a lawn care business! Narragansett Bay.
Thanks,Marty. Another great makeover.
Another fantastic job! I love your little green screen bits where you're standing next to the vehicle. I saw a real one of these last year at a classic vehicle pageant, but it was in military forest green.
Marty, that finished model took me straight back, a fine job.
Super job, the color seems to have come out well. The pipes and ladder add just that touch of realness to make your work look all that much better. Keep up the work and get some gloves on, safety first.
Beautiful, Marty, just beautiful !! Thank you !
I have to say that I'm probably not the only one who'd like to try that Furphy Ale that you have in your spray booth, Marty.
Great job on the 63b , this is one of my favorites you are rite every one I have found has broken foam cannon, again great make over.
Great job. I think the outtakes are my favorite part Marty. It's good to know that some expletives are universal. : )
Marty when you do the " full size " general inspections you need to give the tyres a kick as well .
You did a good repair job with the ladder a blind man " would be happy to see that "
Proper job !!
Saturday Makeover. Life is good. 😊

Another marvelous make over. Box included. Like the way you pay attention to detail.
Like the way you resolved the gold bit/ part!
Another fantastic makeover and so clever as well. I find myself looking forward to your videos every week. Please keep them coming.
I restored one of those crash tenders I found on Ebay- I would love to report mine came out as well but I'm happy with mine! Great job as always Marty 👍

I always get a kick out of the headlines lining your paint booth!!
Super video again. Dont know how many times I ve said oh my god I had one of those when I was a kid. Nice make over, keep those videos firing out.
I like how you always have these random newspapers
A wonderful restoration and a great laugh hearing the bleeped effing and blinding lol
Per usual a great job. The intro was so clever and the out takes were hilarious thanks for what you do. Awesomeness!!!

Cracking restoration Marty' and great to see the Lightening at the end' ...'0' days without an accident ha ha ha'
Thanks Marty for another wonderful restoration. 👍
Particularly liked the box. Lovely added touch.
It’s 4AM in Ontario, Canada was about to go to bed till I seen you uploaded a video thanks Marty much love from Canada 🇨🇦❤️
Love watching your channel, and reading the headlines in your paint booth
Brilliant solution to the ladder problem. Too bad that parts that were expensive to buy, fit so poorly. You should try 3D printing them next time.
The pipes on the roof are known as hard suction, and were used in conjunction with a basket strainer and metal filter and was used for drawing water from ponds, lakes and other open water sources. The foam nozzle is known as a monitor. Again a great job.
Amazing how one toy has sweet the world and how Marty brings new life to them!
I still like the catchy little tune playing in the background. For me it is very relaxing.
Thank you Marty for making this video. It brought me a lot of joy watching it.
Martha who? Is she your scriptwriter?
Posthumous congratulations to Alan, may he Hide In Peace!
Brilliant video Marty! Thank you! :-)
I just love that subtle humor of yours. I think that you are underperforming with the Kevin jokes.
Looks fantastic mate a great show and superbly restored model 🏆🏆🏆
Thanks a lot fot this new didactic and amusing video. Great mise en scene for a always amazing result.
Get yourself a Badger 105 Patriot airbrush. By far the best of my dozen or so brushes
Excellent as always Marty - thanks for sharing another top notch restoration.👍🏻
You're absolutely right, Mate... It looks "Marty-fine" 👍👍😁
And once again...... My Saturday is complete... Beautiful restoration 👍
And the headline of your "spraybooth-paper"....... I was nearly falling of the Couch, laughing 😁😁😁 body of hide and seek world champion found in cupboard (just like his dad) 😂😂😂
Greetings from the northsea-shore to down under.....
Such a cute little guy, he turned out really good!👍
Another excellent spray booth newspaper headline !
Saying a few choice words always helps, liked the video & keep up the good “fun” work., from Maryland U.S.A.😎👍👍
Here's a tip for axles: Put one end in a drill, and then while it's spinning, wrap some fine sandpaper around it. Once you're done, flip it around and do the same to the end that was in the drill. Great work on that crash tender though!
Brilliant sollution with the ladder! :D Another nice job. Thanks!
Great job. Have that tender on standby in case the Matchbox F-35s are just like the real ones!
I've ever seen one of these models with the full nozzle on it, I thought that was the way they came.
I swear Marty your skills go up tenfold in each video, another great project!
Never get tired of watching these! Thanks Marty
Wow another terrific restoration great work Marty . Julie should put a swear box in the hobby room she could afford a security system for her long suffering tooth brush.
Love this matchbox of the 63b please
