- Hindus can often struggle to explain the immense diversity in their religion, especially in comparison to Christianity and Islam. This video outlines why it is that Hinduism is so very different to the western Abrahamic faiths. Christianity and Islam are essentially salvation theologies which look to save individuals from an eternity of hell, while eastern religions are based on attaining higher states of consciousness. This, as well as other root ideas are the reasons why there are huge differences between the faiths. Once these are understood explaining Hinduism to the other becomes far easier and comprehensible.

Dharma doesn't translate to religion. Religion is a political ideology to which santana dharma is an antithesis of. You can be a follower of christ under the tenants of santana dharma and co-exist without needing the sham of "secularism". To be truly Dharmic one has to descard the fundamentals of the construct of religion. Santana Dharma is the source of the concept which has been hijacked and corrupted in the west as "spirituality" due to the limitation of language and worldview. Instead of finding "equivalent" words in English with completely different fundamentals one must use the original term and define it's meaning in higher/proper philosophies. And completely dissassociate it with the term/fundamentals of "religion" infact it can be described as antithesis of religion and a higher version of "secular thought"

Argument 1: “No Romans, No Salvation”: They say “Jesus died to save you from sins” but Jesus wouldn’t have died if the Romans hadn’t killed him. Therefore you should thank/worship the Romans for salvation before you thank Jesus cos after all, Christianity is all about paying gratitude, right ?

support this however if you read the entire verse you'll see that it is referring calling the same thing by different names and has nothing to do with other religions here is the first what you did not tell where we can find it

the same concept is considered by Islam and Christianity (as both Christians and Muslims have different names for God) and it's interesting that you talk about Krishna because he said that everyone is following him but some people do it in the wrong way

Also you say that religions that promote violence are not True Religions I guess this would mean that Hinduism is not a true religion considering that Krishna said fighting (at least for the warrior cast) is a duty and to not fight incurres sin

As for discrimination the Hindu text say that the duty of the servant caste is to serve Brahmans

To me this sounds like discrimination based on a person's heritage. In fact study's have shown that India is the second most intolerant country

Now you might say that anyone of any religion can do this however the Hindu scripture makes it very clear that only brahmins can achieve understanding of God

As such anyone who is not a Brahmin past 2 be in the Assemblies of the brahmins in order to end the cycle of rebirth

And since it is very hard if not impossible to achieve the level of understanding required by Hinduism it is safe to assume that very few people have actually achieved Moksha meaning that religions like Christianity has far more people saved than Hinduism does.

Hustle Loy what I said is based on Hindu scripture as of now no I have not come across scripture scripture which contradicts my statements. Also Moksha is incredibly rare for a person to achieve so it does not seem to be more accessible than an abrahamic concept of the afterlife but rather appears to be more constructive.

Hinduism was simply known as Sanatana Dharma before it was coined as "Hinduism". I recall it being called this by migrants who moved into the Indus Valley thousands of years ago. The only name they could think of to describe them was "Hin-du" - "Indus-ones" (I think that's the vague translation).
First time I ever came across explanation of Hinduism in such compact & clear form. It's almost impossible to explain in few words to any outsider. That's the reason so much misconceptions & misinformation exists about Hinduism in the west. I hope more vids like this are produced explaining various aspects of basic Hinduism. Thanks & keep it up.

It's more of a social issue with religious ideologies. RSS has nothing to do with the main teachings of Hinduism, beating people and forcing them to say "Jai shree Ram" is never acceptable. Most Hindus were against this but because of what happened Hinduism got bad name and non hindus are criticizing Hindus and Hinduism as a whole.

So we honor it not only because of its nature but also because it is one of the main domesticated animals that has helped this cvilization to egt through hard times. tell me would you kill a dog that you have cared for your whole life?
when we say worship we mean honor the cow because of its very nature that i talked above it is symbolic to uphold that we should learn from this creature and also cow is considered symbolic for all animals and the message is to respect every living being.

I'm a Hindu because it is one of most free religions of the world (I could say the only religion, a perspective) as it gives me the maximum freedom on almost everything. I'm a Hindu when I am not following any God, I am Hindu when I am following multiple gods, I am a Hindu when I am following one God, and what not.
There is no limit in defining what Hinduism is, it is the tradition which allows me to dance in ecstasy, get ultimate experience of joy in the music (Nada Yoga), realise the self worth, know ownself. It provides me the ultimate freedom in living as I want, at the same time teaching me to follow the ontological theory originally can be drawn from the laws of Karma. It teaches me that the learning has no boundaries, and makes me to be shameless in learning anything that can provide benefits to others/society. Liberalism in learning can be seen when Hinduism openly talks about Kamasutra (The science of sexuality).
The great science of consciousness and the mind donated to the world by Siddhartha (AKA Gotama Buddha) some of his teachings are yet to be proved by the modern sciences. There is more science in Hinduism than beliefs.
Hinduism is the most diverse religion in the world with respect to its followings, cultures, traditions and values etc. It incorporates the different cultures from north to south, from east to west and the centre. The best thing I love about Hinduism is that it doesn't want you to change anything inside you or what you follow and who you follow, you can be a Hindu even when you don't go to the temple or any religious places, no obligations but to be nice to everyone and to yourself, and the last to know yourself.
There is more to write on the beauty of Hinduism but the centuries will last, and the content won't. ❤️

I disagree with some of the things you said in the video.
1. You insinuate that in Christianity and Islam non-believers are condemned to hell, but thats not the case:
"All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)" (Romans 2 12-13).
"And never would We punish until We sent a messenger." (Quran 17:15)
"But the Jews and the Christians say, "We are the children of Allah and His beloved." Say, "Then why does He punish you for your sins?" Rather, you are human beings from among those He has created. He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the [final] destination." (Quran 5:18)
2. The claim that hinduism is more open to all paths and less rigid is equally simplistic, because the hindu scriptures constantly claim to be the truth and warn against that which deviates from it:
"I am the object of all worship, its enjoyer and Lord. But those who fail to realize my true nature must be reborn. Those who worship the devas will go to the realm of the devas; those who worship their ancestors will be united with them after death. Those who worship phantoms will become phantoms; but my devotees will come to me." (Gita 9 24-25).
"Others disregard the teachings of the scriptures. Driven by selfish desire, they miss the goal of life, miss even happiness and success. Therefore let the scriptures be your guide in what to do and what not to do. Understand their teachings; then act in accordance with them." (Gita 16:23-24)
3. The idea that the "rigid" doctrines of christianity were fabricated in order to serve the state is just historically wrong. In the very New Testament, and the writings of the church fathers of the first, second and and third century, the canon and set of beliefs are already very clear.
"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!" (Galatians 1:8)
"Inasmuch as certain men have set the truth aside, and bring in lying words and vain genealogies, which, as the apostle says, minister questions rather than godly edifying which is in faith, and by means of their craftily-constructed plausibilities draw away the minds of the inexperienced and take them captive, [I have felt constrained, my dear friend, to compose the following treatise in order to expose and counteract their machinations.] These men falsify the oracles of God, and prove themselves evil interpreters of the good word of revelation." (Against Heresies, preface, written around 180AD by Irenaeus).

Sanatan Dharma has freedom to worship any God outside of its religion not unlike Christianity & Islam which have strict rules of praying & worshipping only to their own God😊
People following Abrahamic faith fail to understand that Sanatan Dharma is completely different from their religion & have no comparisons! We do not try to convert or convince other people against their religion to leave it. That's the difference👍

8.4But beyond this formless state there is another, unmanifested reality, which is eternal and not dissolved when the cosmos is destroyed.
8.5Those who realize life’s supreme goal know that I am unmanifest and unchanging. Having come home to me, they never return to separate existence.
8.6This supreme Lord who pervades all existence, the true Self of all creatures, may be realized through undivided love.
9.1I pervade the entire universe in my unmanifested form. All creatures find their existence in me, but I am not limited by them.
9.2I am the father and mother of this universe, and its grandfather too; I am its entire support.
9.3I am the goal of life, the Lord and support of all, the inner witness, the abode of all. I am the only refuge, the one true friend; I am the beginning, the staying, and the end of creation; I am the womb and the eternal seed.
9.4I am heat; I give and withhold the rain. I am immortality and I am death; I am what is and what is not.
10.1Whoever knows me as the Lord of all creation, without birth or beginning, knows the truth and frees himself from all evil.
10.2I am the seed that can be found in every creature; for without me nothing can exist, neither animate nor inanimate.
13.1The body is called a field; the one who knows it is called the knower of the field. This is the knowledge of those who know.
13.2I am the Knower of the field in everyone. Knowledge of the field and its Knower is true knowledge.
13.3This supreme Self is without a beginning, undifferentiated, deathless. Though it dwells in the body, it neither acts nor is touched by action.
13.4As akasha pervades the cosmos but remains unstained, the Self can never be tainted though it dwells in every creature.
13.5As the sun lights up the world, the Self dwelling in the field is the source of all light in the field.
13.6Those who, with the eye of wisdom, distinguish the field from its Knower and the way to freedom from the bondage of prakriti, attain the supreme goal.
15.1In this world there are two orders of being: the perishable, separate creature and the changeless spirit.
15.2But beyond these there is another, the supreme Self, the eternal Lord, who enters into the entire cosmos and supports it from within.
15.3I am that Supreme Self, praised by the scriptures as beyond the changing and the changeless.
15.4Those who see in me that supreme Self see truly. They have found the source of all wisdom, and they worship me with all their heart.
