What exactly does "Knowledge" mean to you? I am convinced that knowledge is justified, true and based on a belief (The JTB theory of knowledge). In what possible way can we show that any of the wild ass claims made in any of their holy books, is true and therefore say any of these men are knowledgeable on their religious claims? I watched this video when I was first learning about Islam and soon after I became Muslim. That was nearly 5 years ago. What stood out to me was how the priest often said “I believe”, “I think”, or “In my opinion”. But Omar Suleiman never gave his personal opinions, he spoke about Islam directly from the Quran and from the teachings of Islam. He was calm and very clear in his responses. He made difficult topics very easy to understand. Well done Imam Omar Suleiman and thank you to those that organized the event.

I was a Christian trying to get closer to my religion but my grandma came from Nigeria and I had a Muslim friend. Seeing my grandma pray I was influenced and having a Muslim friend made me do research. In December 2022 I wrote a comment on tiktok saying ‘In Christian but Islam is making more sense to me and idk if I should convert’ i got 25k likes and thousand replies saying to do it and seeing the Muslim community so helpful I converted a couple months later at only 11 years old and I thank Allah for guiding me at this young age.

The Honest Truth it wasn’t a Muslim who did the study actually. The study was done by two different people at different times and one was done by a software system and one done by a religious historian . Both of them found that the Quran was not violent and that it had much less violence then the bible ( in percentage on how often it comes up and on the level of how brutal the violence was. “Violence in the Quran, he and others say, is largely a defense against attack.” - talking about what the historian said in one of the articles.) what you are talking about when you say Islam tells you to beat women is completely false. When the Quran says strike them(women), it is talking about tapping then with I stick no longer than your pinky finger and by tapping I literally mean a normal tap that you do to get someone’s attention. This is also only allowed in specific cases. If a man touches his wife with any more force it is forbidden.The prophet Muhammad (saw) said that the best among us is the one who treats his wife the best. The prophet was a example on how to be a perfect Muslim and he treated his wife better than people today could imagine. He never hit anyone , lied, disrespected, or spoke to in a rude manner to even his enemy’s which he had mercy for let alone his own wives that he loved very much. If you’ve already got your opinion about Islam from the news then it will be very hard to make you think otherwise . Please don’t completely thrown away all the context behind the holy Quran and make it your own. Convertet last month to the islam Elhamdulillah 🤲🏽! After reading the Bible and de Qu'ran twice i choose that i want to be a Muslim. It changed my life. I quit smoking, stop drinking. Now i pray 5 times a day and have a real daily structure. I am happy that my Familie Accept my choice because all of my Family are Christians.

The Christian minister stated that the Bible contradicts itself when you read the old & new testament literally was surprising to hear from a minister. The Rabbi saying the Hebrew Bible is not prescriptive, and Jews choose not to emulate Moses, their prophet was also surprising. Then hearing Sheikh Omar defend both Moses from the Rabbi, and Noah from the Christian minister was profound. I was an atheist for decades, but after seeing the perseverance & righteousness of the Palestinians in the face of extreme hardship & suffering has bought me back to Islam. I am reading the Quran for the first time, and for the first time I have clarity of understanding, inner strength and most importantly peace in this day & age, when the state of the world seems to reflect the opposite. I use to think religion weakens humanity but without religion, life has only a superficial purpose, and then you die. I've found that people without religion, begin to worship wealth, power & fame, and never find peace even once they've attained it. I'm so grateful to have found my way back to a higher purpose while I am still breathing. May Allah guide us all, insha'allah. 🤲🇵🇸

Omar Suleiman is one of the best speakers to represent Islam in today's world. There are others who can come across as confrontational and arrogant that I won't name here. Omar on other hand just sits there and softly, quietly explains what Islam represents without having to yell and wave his arms around and try to belittle others like some "Islamic theologians" do. There is a quiet confidence that comes across as very genuine from him.

I think it shows humility in faith. Those who were warned, “Your enemies have mobilized their forces against you, so fear them,” the warning only made them grow stronger in faith and they replied, “Allah ˹alone˺ is sufficient ˹as an aid˺ for us and ˹He˺ is the best Protector.” So they returned with Allah’s favours and grace, suffering no harm. For they sought to please Allah. And surely Allah is ˹the˺ Lord of infinite bounty.

These are only 2 verses that may help you understand their faith, but to get deeper in understanding, I'd advise you to read Qur’an. Coz it also contains the whole situation they're in right now in the holy land and what's gonna happen later on. I was a Christian trying to get closer to my religion but my grandma came from Nigeria and I had a Muslim friend. Seeing my grandma pray I was influenced and having a Muslim friend made me do research. When the Quran says strike them(women), it is talking about tapping then with I stick no longer than your pinky finger and by tapping I literally mean a normal tap that you do to get someone’s attention. This is also only allowed in specific cases. If a man touches his wife with any more force it is forbidden.The prophet Muhammad (saw) said that the best among us is the one who treats his wife the best. The prophet was a example on how to be a perfect Muslim and he treated his wife better than people today could imagine. He never hit anyone , lied, disrespected, or spoke to in a rude manner to even his enemy’s which he had mercy for let alone his own wives that he loved very much. If you’ve already got your opinion about Islam from the news then it will be very hard to make you think otherwise . Please don’t completely thrown away all the context behind the holy Quran and make it your own. Instead of accepting answers about my religion that are false and that are from others that hate Islam, ask a intelligent and credible Muslim that has studied the Quran many times, knows the hadiths and the context, and knows Islam very well. truly leave all your miss conceptions about Islam at the front door and fully read the Quran with no bias whatsoever. Read about Islam to truly learn, and don’t just pick certain Ayat to use as your argument without knowing what it means. Hopefully I cleared the misconception that you had about violence in Islam . Real religion is this. The ability to share, communicate and meet under the eyes of the divine, to discuss the nature of existence and what it means to see or know the universe.
Religion is about community improving, not wars and fights.
The Christian minister stated that the Bible contradicts itself when you read the old & new testament literally was surprising to hear from a minister.
The Rabbi saying the Hebrew Bible is not prescriptive, and Jews choose not to emulate Moses, their prophet was also surprising.
Then hearing Sheikh Omar defend both Moses from the Rabbi, and Noah from the Christian minister was profound.
I was an atheist for decades, but after seeing the perseverance & righteousness of the Palestinians in the face of extreme hardship & suffering has bought me back to Islam. I am reading the Quran for the first time, and for the first time I have clarity of understanding, inner strength and most importantly peace in this day & age, when the state of the world seems to reflect the opposite. I use to think religion weakens humanity but without religion, life has only a superficial purpose, and then you die. I've found that people without religion, begin to worship wealth, power & fame, and never find peace even once they've attained it. I'm so grateful to have found my way back to a higher purpose while I am still breathing. May Allah guide us all, insha'allah. 🤲🇵🇸

*1)* *“Islam” means “surrender” or “submission”* . “Salam” (which means “peace”) is the root word of “Islam”. In a religious context the word “Islam” means “the surrendering of one’s will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace”.
*2)* *“Muslim” means “anyone or anything that surrenders itself to the true will of God”.* By this definition, everything in nature (trees, animals, planets, etc.) are “muslims” because they are in a state of surrender to God’s will. *3)* *Islam is not a new religion or cult.* It is a universal way of life and civilization. *Again, Islam is not a new religion,* rather it is the same message preached by all earlier prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all). But God’s final message to mankind was revealed to the last prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), as a revival of lost teachings of previous prophets and as a reconfirmation of the eternal message. Studies show that between 1.5 and 1.8 billion people in the world identify their religion as Islam. Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve.
*4)* *There are five pillars of practice in Islam.* These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.
*5)* *There are six articles of faith in Islam.* These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all of the true prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) destiny.
*6)* *Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah”* which is the Arabic word for “God”. Muslims worldwide, even English-speaking Muslims, frequently use the Arabic word “Allah” because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an. But Allah is no different than the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The Creator is the Creator regardless of what people call Him. In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”. Yet Jesus spoke a different language, referring to God as “Eloi” in Mark 15:34 of the New Testament. Are “God” and “Eloi” different gods? Many Hispanics call God “Dios” and many French say “Dieu”. *4)* *There are five pillars of practice in Islam.* These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.
*5)* *There are six articles of faith in Islam.* These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all of the true prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) destiny.
*6)* *Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah”* which is the Arabic word for “God”. Muslims worldwide, even English-speaking Muslims, frequently use the Arabic word “Allah” because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an. But Allah is no different than the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The Creator is the Creator regardless of what people call Him. In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”. "Thighing" Aisha - Muhammad placed his penis between the thighs of Aisha and he massaged it to orgasm since he could not have sexual intercourse with her until she was nine. Praise be to Allah and peace be upon the one after whom there is no [further] prophet. After the permanent committee for the scientific research and fatwahs (religious decrees) reviewed the question presented to the grand Mufti Abu Abdullah Muhammad Al-Shemary, the question forwarded to the committee by the grand scholar of the committee with reference number 1809 issued on 3/8/1421 (Islamic calendar).
The inquirer asked the following:
It has become wide spread these days, and especially during weddings, the habit of mufa’khathat of the children (mufa’khathat literally translated means "placing between the thighs" which means placing the male member between the thighs of a child). What is the opinion of scholars knowing full well that the prophet, the peace and prayer of Allah be upon him, also practiced the "thighing" of Aisha - the mother of believers - may Allah be please with her.
After the committee studied the issue, they gave the following reply:
It has not been the practice of the Muslims throughout the centuries to resort to this unlawful practice that has come to our countries from pornographic movies that the kufar (infidels) and enemies of Islam send. As for the prophet, peace and prayer of Allah be upon him, thighing his fiancée Aisha. She was six years of age and he could not have intercourse with her due to her small age. That is why [the prophet] peace and prayer of Allah be upon him placed his [male] member between her thighs and massaged it softly, as the apostle of Allah had control of his [male] member not like other believers.[9][10]

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
The term Mufaakhathah means to have foreplay with the wife in between her thighs. It is reported in one narration that when the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) wanted to enjoy one of his wives who was in menstruation, he would put a piece of cloth on her vagina (i.e. cover it). [Ibn Maajah].
The author of Faydh Al-Qadeer interpreted the expression 'if he wanted to enjoy to mean having all permissible foreplay but avoiding the vagina [or the anus], like in between her thighs (i.e. Mufaakhathah).

Jesus is God take for example the words of Jesus in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” We need only to look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement to know He was claiming to be God. They tried to stone Him for this very reason: “You, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33, emphasis added). The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming-deity. Omar Suleiman is one of the best speakers to represent Islam in today's world. There are others who can come across as confrontational and arrogant that I won't name here. Omar on other hand just sits there and softly, quietly explains what Islam represents without having to yell and wave his arms around and try to belittle others like some "Islamic theologians" do. There is a quiet confidence that comes across as very genuine from him.

Nobody knows whether the Quran is true or not. The same way nobody knows if the old and New Testament is true. That’s why Islam, Christianity and Judaism are religious BELIEFS. because nobody knows who is truly right, we all go based on what we believe. Just because he sites the Quaran does not mean his religion is the correct one. Religions are based off opinions and what we think is right. Christians and Jews believe that the Old Testament was written by God and it’s all His words but we don’t know for sure. When it comes to religion, only God knows the truth

I think it shows humility in faith. They want people to understand that this dialogue, though is meant to be representative for each religion, is basically a conversation between three believers about what they have learned about their beliefs. By using "I", they admit that what they are saying are but their own collection of interpretations about the complexity of each religion. There is nothing wrong or arrogant in that.

Those who were warned, “Your enemies have mobilized their forces against you, so fear them,” the warning only made them grow stronger in faith and they replied, “Allah ˹alone˺ is sufficient ˹as an aid˺ for us and ˹He˺ is the best Protector.”
So they returned with Allah’s favours and grace, suffering no harm. For they sought to please Allah. And surely Allah is ˹the˺ Lord of infinite bounty.

These are only 2 verses that may help you understand their faith, but to get deeper in understanding, I'd advise you to read Qur’an. Coz it also contains the whole situation they're in right now in the holy land and what's gonna happen later on. We know Palestine will be free as God promised, we're just waiting for the time to come, and it seems it's around the corner as many nations started to wake up to the 75 years old opressive occupation that has been going on. Omar Suleiman's explanations were clear because there are no contradictions and confusions in Islam itself.
It's a very logical straightforward belief..basically:
- Belief in God is One,
- Belief in Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) as the last in the chain of Prophets which includes Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus (peace be upon them all),
- Belief in all Books and Scriptures sent down by One God, including Psalms, Old testament, New Testament and Quran, -Belief in the Unseen including angels, heaven and hell and
- Belief in the Day if Judgment.
Because Islam is a straight forward very very clear faith, we know what god wants from us, why we are here on earth and everything makes sense and lines you with our nature, please read the Quran and Muhammad biography. Thanks
