      I think Hinduism is polymorphic or henotheistic rather than being polytheistic. Like they've the concept of "Par Brahman"..
      And also in Rigveda, there's one quote:- “The Reality is One; sages describe it in many ways.”
      What do you think about it?

      Quran 4:34"Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great."

Well as a Christian I can still be “accepted” in Hinduism. So then I have no reason to leave Christianity. So any religions that doesn’t claim to be exclusive is not a religion to believe in. That leaves Christianity or Islam for the truth. And clearly, Islam is insane and false because of the horrible character of Muhammad.

    Hinduism is often misunderstood as a polytheistic religion due to the worship of multiple deities, but the core belief is actually monotheistic.
    In Hinduism, the ultimate reality is called Paramathma, Brahman, or Ishvara, which is considered the single, all-encompassing, and eternal essence. This ultimate reality is beyond human comprehension and is often described as attributeless and formless.
    The various deities worshiped in Hinduism, such as Vishnu, Shiva, and Devi, are considered manifestations or aspects of this ultimate reality. They are not separate gods, but rather different forms or expressions of the same Paramathma.
    This concept is often referred to as "monistic theism" or "qualified monism," where the ultimate reality is seen as the single, unified essence, and the various deities are seen as its manifestations or attributes.
    So, while Hinduism may appear polytheistic on the surface, the core belief is actually monotheistic, with a focus on the ultimate reality, Paramathma, as the single, all-encompassing God.

      The core belief of every religion is monotheistic, because monotheism makes sense and we are built with that innate belief.
      The main difference is that Hinduism tells us in order to reach the one true God, we must rely on these avatars or idols or deities.
      That's why it called polytheism and sometimes pantheism because they also believe god is everyone and everywhere.

      Stop imposing your beliefs and biases upon creator or creators.
      Hinduism is not governed by rigid beliefs like Monotheism ...it is a collection of multiple philosophies and beliefs ....Which you can't achieve while being Monotheistic ...
      This philosophy of all paths lead to one single truth ...is just a philosophy out of many others.

      Thats debatable. It depends on how you define protestant. Whether you define it as any christian sect that rejects and "protests" the catholic church or as any sect that comes out of the protestant reformation or a sect that has evolved from one of those sects. Anglicanism exists solely because Henry ViII wanted to keep having divorces and the catholic church wouldn't let him so he created a new church. Anglicanism wasn't part of or inspired by Martin Luther's protestant reformation.

      @ eternal hell and contradiction of gods Omni-qualities because of it. I still hold that universalist Christianity is logically consistent and hey maybe it’s even true and I am wrong, but there are too many epistemological problems with Christianity as a whole for me to think that any of it is trustworthy anymore.
      I think Taoism address the nature of our reality best; a guidance of principles by an essentialist intelligence of the universe which is expressed by change, which is at the same time that unchanging guiding principle. Opposites are real, but they are also more dynamic than people think, two sides of the same coin yet also not real at all.
      I always felt the draw of the Dao even when I was Christian and was interested in EO before I rejected Christianity,because it had a lot of those same principles and concepts. However, it’s just as rigid and stubborn as the rest of Christianity when you get to its basics.
      Like I said, he actually explained Taoism well and seems to really understand the viewpoints of other religions rather than straw-manning them.

      @muddy_rat 18 днів тому +5

      On eternal hell, we Christians believe God doesn’t want anyone to suffer eternally. Instead, hell reflects human free will-the choice to reject God. Universalism even suggests eventual reconciliation, showing that Christianity can handle those concerns without contradicting God’s omni-qualities.
      With Daoism, you mentioned opposites being both real and unreal, which is intriguing, but how does an impersonal principle address the human need for relationship, purpose, or love? Christianity uniquely offers a personal God who seeks connection.

    • @Waxican
      @Waxican 18 днів тому +1

      @ yes I understand that, and there are issues and millennia long debate over the topic of free will so not something I want to get into as I’m not super versed in the topic anyway. Yes it is possible that universal reconciliation is possible on philosophical/logical grounds and I’ll jump for joy like David did if I’m shown that to be the case. My issue with Christianity though is that it if you put the original Christian movement into its cultural context of 1st century, 2nd Temple Judaism a lot of the profundity of it is lost as its relegated to a Torah observant apocalyptic cult “follow Torah, or else…”. Also the fact that Paul was able to coopt the movement at its inception showed me that it is of human origin and not divine. I like a lot of Paul’s theology but there is really no good reason to consider his writings a scriptural when Peter & James didn’t get along with him. I still find value in Christianity but no longer see it as ultimate truth.
      Regarding the Dao on being impersonal unlike the god in Christianity being interpersonal, much like how God’s essence is self sustaining, as is the Dao’s in its self relation of its flowing opposites and unity through them. Defining each other, relating to each other, yet canceling each other out. The cosmic dance of unity through distinction. Like I said I was interested in EO before I left the faith. The guys who run Telosbound would disagree with me, but a lot of the arguments they use to argue for Christianity can apply to the Dao as well, some EO Christians consider Christ to be the Dao incarnate because they are so comparable.

    "The truth is one, saints ( from different civilizations) speak/tell it in many ways"
    And i think that's beautiful, because as the oldest still continuous religion, it paved the way to secularism.

    3:37 Hinduism does have a version of Nirvana as well - it's called Moksh, and Hinduism is a lot about how to improve one's lifestyle as well, similar to Buddhism.
    Buddhism gained popularity as a rejection of radicalised Hindu philosophies in the later vedic period (1000 - 500 BCE) where teachings had started to be misconstrued by Brahmins for selfish desire because lesser and lesser people could read the original Sanskrit literature for themselves.
    What we now call the caste system was originally more like descriptions of someone's occupation, it was flexible, people were allowed to change their occupation, marry people of other occupations etc. In the later vedic period, for some reason things like changing one's caste and intercaste marriages became taboo and the system became more rigid, outliving its original purpose of being an occupational organisation system. A lot of Hindu reformation happened during this time, and that is a big reason for Buddhist teachings becoming popular because people were looking for something that was more like the original version of Hinduism, which taught a way of life, conduct, and self discipline.
    The lore for how Buddhism came about is however unrelated, yet still pretty interesting! The Hindu prince Siddharth lived a very lavish lifestyle in a palace, but he was appalled by the misery (war, conflict, sickness, death) he saw in the world. Despite living a lavish lifestyle, he could not find happiness. Eventually, he renounced his life as a prince (including his wife and newborn son) and embraced poverty, hoping to find happiness. Also failing to find happiness in poverty and almost starving to death, Siddharth finally sits down under a Bodhi tree, meditating for some time (the exact duration is debated on by historians - some say one day, some say six months) after which he gained Nirvana and enlightenment - becoming a Buddha.

    Hello There, I'm Jewish, here's my take on what you said:
    1. The Seven Noahide Laws, which represent basic morality just like you said, are: Believing In G-d And Worshipping Him and Him Alone - No Idolatry; have Relations only as part of Marriage and don't engage in Forbidden Relationships (Incest, Adultery, Prostitution, Bestiality, Homosexuality and other kinds of Indecency and Immortality); Sanctity of Life - Safeguard Human Life and Do Not Murder Innocents; Don't Eat Body Parts Cut From A Living Animal - Don't Abuse Animals. You don't Need to Keep Kosher and You Can eat whatever you Want - But You No right To Harm G-d's Creation So Brutally and So Needlessly; Respect G-d And Avoid Speaking Disrespectfully Towards him/About Him; Respect Other People's Property And don't steal/Harm/use Other People's Property Against Their will; Law And Order - Respect the Law, Obey The Law and Establish A Just Legal System and Law Enforcement Services that Punish Criminals, Deliver Justice, Maintain Public Order and defend People's Safety and Security. Follow These Basic Rules - and You're On the Right Track. You may Contact Chabad and/or Noahide Organizations For Futher Details on the Matter.
    2. Intermarriage in Judaism is Strictly Forbidden - and obviously, it's a Taboo for Us.
    All in All, it is Very Heartwarming to see that People Here Don't Speak About me with Prejudice/from a Condescending Position That "comes to Show me The 'Light' to the 'Primitives' " - But Because They Truly wish to Learn. And for Us, Jews, Learning and Improving Ourselves is at The Basis of Our National Ethos - so I Appreciate What You're Doing. Keep it up.

      So just because two ehnic groups are having a brawl doesn't mean persecution.
      It is just a clash between two communities until the state favours one over the other.
      In india, state doesn't favour any one. India has seen brawl between all ethnic groups.
      While unfortunate, it has less to do with relugion and more to do with the inefficiency of the state. The governments have failed the people in this regard.

    46 seconds in and I'm already sensing bias. Tolerance in Hinduism depends on which branch or interpretation of the faith we are talking about. There has been a lot of justification for a caste system and prejudice based on that coming from sects of Hinduism. And also there was a hindu Indian nazi SS unit in WW2 that I'm sure didn't care for jews. And Judaism doctrinally does NOT tolerate Hinduism or hindus and does not even respect gentiles in general as equal human beings. But many modern day jewish sects do however because like most religions the believers cherry pick what to believe. They tend to be more cozy with hindus though because of their mutual hatred and conflict with Muslims. Eventhough ironically Muslims and jews believe in the same God and both have commandments to kill or enslave heathens or infidels... like hindus.

      Islam is NOT rigid about when it comes to going to heaven LOL. there are sources where it says only few will make it to heaven, sources where it says many will. some sources say women outnumber men in heaven, others say women outnumber men in hell. some sources say murderers can repent and go to heaven, some say it depends. some sources say shirk leads to hell with no chance for forgiveness no matter what, and other sources say it depends on the intention, what religion a person was born, and even that if they convert from muslim to non muslim repeatedly its fine as long as they die a muslim. some sources say hells temporary for muslims and others say only few muslims will actually make it to heaven

      Being punished for not worshipping a God does not seem like a great law though. It's just being a narcissist not rigid. Non abrahimic religions are far more strict but not for illogical reasons like "u don't worship my god so u will go to hell"
      I know about Hinduism and it is very strict in terms of karma but not to discriminate against people based on whom they worship. If u convert to Christianity or isl@m then all your previous sins are forgiven but Hinduism has no such offer 😅. Your karma will never leave you and u need to pay for your sins.
      There is no permanent heaven or hell because living in a perfect world is just human desire arises from social and biological needs. It's not the need of the soul. The soul has no feeling, desire, hunger or lu$t. It simply needs to go back to nothingness.
      There are temporary hell and heaven though for those who fail to reach salvation. And in Hinduism u will have to suffer hell fire even for eating too much. Now talk about being strict? 😂
      Your strictness is basically "my god is right and don't use your brain after that". That's actually easy to practice as compared to Hinduism where your actual deads are valued more than worship or God and ALL are judged equally

    "People that claim the bible describes a trinity, always describe an interpretation of scriptures, and NOT the actual text of the scriptures."
    - A quote to remember
    Jesus explicitly told us in scripture:
    “. . . go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am going up to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.’"
    - John 20:17
    => Jesus has a God and Father.
    => We have this same God and Father.
    => Jesus is the Son of God.
    => Jesus is NOT God.
    Jesus fervently prayed to his Father:
    "And this is life in the age to come, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."
    - John 17:3
    => Jesus identifies the ONLY true God, the Father!
    Once you avoid Catholics, Orthodox, Reformed... Jehovah witnesses, Mormons, Adventists... And discover Christians that know the truth, then all confusion goes away.
    THIS: All trinity doctrine is an explanation of one's ignorance of what's written in the bible

      Or in greek original, "I am".

      Funny how you are saying that we describe on interpretation and not the actual text of the scriptures when you are literally doing that by getting passages talking about Jesus' human nature. On Hebrews 1, The Father literally affirms Jesus divinity:
      But about the Son he says,
      “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
      a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom."
      Tell me, what are we ignorant about?
      The passages you brought up don't contradict the Trinity.

    • @ルルララ-z1c
      @ルルララ-z1c 18 днів тому +4

      Just say you don't understand the trinity and go. Jesus is fully human and fully God, when he came to earth, he submitted his HUMAN NATURE to the Father, but he never denied his divine nature and claimed multiple times to be God, which is why he got killed. You literally proved nothing. Unitarianism is the biggest form of ignorance.

    • @SimplyAwesomeOriginal
      @SimplyAwesomeOriginal 18 днів тому +1

      @@adammickiewicz7818 "I am" is either an answer to question or it's an incomplete sentence... but it isn't a name!
      In John 8:54, Jesus differentiated himself from God, and said that glorifying himself has no value.
      Four verse later, in John 8:58, the original Greek text, that is translated to "I am", was not differentiated as uppercase.
      "I am" was used three times earlier in John 8 (Verses 18, 24, 28) without a predicate! Do you know why it's not referring to "I AM"???
      Look at the use of "I am" throughout the book of John. For example:
      - Jesus also used "I am" in John 4:26, to say that he was "the anointed one"; and we know God does NOT anoint himself.
      - Also "I am" is used by the man Jesus healed in John 9:9, and this man was NOT blaspheming.
      "I am" is used many many times, in different ways, by all sorts of people throughout the bible! (e.g. Matthew 26:20-25; 14:26-27; Luke 21:8, Mark 13:6, Acts 26:29)
      So what is God's name?
      In Exodus 3:14, "I will be who I will be" (often mis-translated as "I am who I am") is what people will experience God to be. It's an assurance that he truly self exists, because he will be regardless.
      In Exodus 3:15, God told Moses to tell the Israelites his name is YHWH (Yahweh); the God of their fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. That it is his name forever, and it's how he is to be remembered for generation after generation.
      "I am YHWH (Yahweh). That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to carved images."
      - Isaiah 42:18
      ". . . that they may know that you alone, whose name is YHWH (Yahweh), are the Most High over all the earth."
      - Psalms 83:18
