They sound AMAZING, guitars on point, drums on point, bass on point, vocals on point, there’s not so much bands from 80s-90s that sound as great these days, Metallica rules!
No, most 80s metal bands sound as good or better than they did then. Lots still around. And most still write great metal, and never sold out. Death Magnetic was half great and HWTSD was half good...they could be combined for one damn good album with the bad half of each left off

Leandro Contrera most bands from this genre though sound better than they did. Most of them have also progressed as musicians and song writers as well.

Maybe the best band for you, everybody can have their own opinion. I honestly think they have the biggest fan and Metallica fans are mostly humble unlike Megadeth fans who always criticized other bands especially Metallica.
I love Lars! He never gets the credit he deserves, he is a one man promoting machine,he is a great arranger, a showman, passionate about music, funny, fun, happy, totally into it type of guy and people love giving him shit about his drumming even though he is still killing it in the best heavy metal band.

Pop artists will never have the same amount of passion, fury, emotion, affect or gusto as a heavy metal band like Metallica in their music or in their live performances

One of the fewer CDs i ever bought and it was totally worth it. One of their best albums in my ears.

How can one like the original mix, it sounds like shit. Hurts my ears so much. With a good audio setup there's no way you can enjoy the sound of that album. I'm not saying the album is bad though, in my opinion it's a solid album.

huge props to james for keeping that clean riff in the beginning on tempo. so hard to keep on time with something of that nature and he did it amazingly well, really goes to show why this band still sells out stadiums 30 years later.

I hear more of "One" than Fade to Black. This is arguably one of the more complex songs Metallica has done. To play it live is no small feat. Robert really forced them to up their game.

Since I am 8 years old I am listening to you. On August 23rd, 2019, the time has come, For the first time I see you live playing music in Munich. It would mean a lot to me if you could play this song 'The Day That Never Comes' there. Because it's my favorite song.

There is something different about this whole video. Some of the camera movements/angles, some of the mixing, but best of all, the performance. I would argue that this is one of the band's greatest performances of this song, if not the greatest (in any case, you can tell that this song was practised to within an inch of its life, and hopefully that means more Death Magnetic live in the near-future), and one of its best of 2018 - the song was played tighter, truer to the original and with more aggression, and the tempo was steady. James and Lars were at their absolute best - I almost teared up at 5:47, my favourite part of the song, particularly watching James. Great performance by a band that is actually getting better as it gets older.
As someone who was at this concert. The whole show was like this. It was great. Genuinely think they're having a blast playing these smallee venues. (Spokane being like reallyyyyy small compared to other "small" venues)
I always thought the DM songs sounded really good live. And overall, I'm a very big fan of the album. Weird to some, but Cyanide is one of my favorite songs of their's.
