The storytelling in this one is just amazing. I had heard the song before seeing the video but the video really brought it all home. I was confused with just the song. If I’m understanding it correctly, Chris killed both Eric and Clementine and Eric was basically his conscious/guilt singing because all of Eric’s scenes changed to Chris at the end. At first I thought Eric killed Clementine but no I think it was Chris who did both killings.

I’m usually not a huge Chris Janson fan but I’ll admit I’m very pleased and surprised at how traditional sounding a lot of the songs are on this album like Flag On The Wall.
Now I have to admit I hope Eric’s next project he goes to this sound/fiddle just because I feel like his voice fits the moods of these instruments and feelings. This and Flags On The Wall definitely feel like they could be on Sinners Like Me and Carolina albums
