So when deciding who to use for the thumbnail I chose Kirstin because she demands respect with this look lol! Who agrees!? Also welcome to the no hat era of SalvoG 😂
Yes, I noticed you already did a reaction to Papatouai, but I don't think you've done the Imagine Dragons cover of Radioactive, also with Lindsay. Also, you'd probably really enjoy seeing their creative process through the Evergreen album documentary.
Kevin on cello with Lindsey Stirling in Radioactive is excellent. Scott also slays the vocals on it. I think this sounds like an instrumental piece even though it has lyrics. I love the Celtic vibe and getting smacked with the wall of sound over and over. They did a bts video of them putting together Evergreen (Xmas Album) and you get to watch them build and record the layers for this and it’s pretty freakin’ awesome. ps-they’re very active on TikTok and IG and do tons of those fun, silly clips. “Just in, everything is awful.” 😂
Pentatonix members take turns with leads depending on what they want out of a song. This was Scott’s turn. Mitch and Kirstie bring it with the background vocals towards the end of the song. Their Evergreen tour version of this also has Matt on the drums and a touch of piano from Scott. Recommend their cover of Come Along.
The perfect song if your grandmother is a Celtic witch, and former pirate who is now retired living in the deep forest. Kirstin is fire, Matt is forest, Kevin is earth, Scott is water, Mitch is air and Lindsey is fairy magic - because she is.
One of my favorites from their Evergreen album. Epic is the best word. It's so different from the old song we sang as kids. It's reimagined as PTX does so well. This one and I Saw Three Ships are my favorites from this album, but of course I love them all.
Hello Salvo G, Lindsey has other collabs with Pentatonix. Over The River is an old nursery rhyme / children's song and Pentatonix with Lindsey have re-energized it an epic way. It was on the Evergreen Album in 2021. In the documentary on the making of the Evergreen Album there is quite a bit on how the put the vocals together for this. Recommend you react to that documentary - only 14 minutes. The wardrobes all have some significance. This is such a masterpiece. Kevin and Lindsey on the strings are fantastic. Yes, that is Kevin on his cello. While I always will vote for a solo from Mitch, he is just fantastic in this with the backing, listen to the ear candy from him in the background. Enjoy your holiday.
This is such an epic song! Kevin and Lindsey kill it and I love the visuals and everyone looks fantastic! I am with you Salvo if Mitch is there I want to hear my favorite voice sing also! 🥰
Lindsey is ridiculously flexible. Growing up she wanted to learn how to play the violin and dance. Her parents asked her to choose and she went with the violin. She was on AGT and was voted off, went to UA-cam and has a few albums. She was on dancing with the stars and got 2nd place. She collaborated with her dancing partner, Mark Ballas and his wife for a song "stampede", very cool. Has Lindsay playing violin with Mark playing the guitar, while they dance. This is the 3rd collaboration with PTX.
The visuals make this for me - particularly Kirstie and the hair toss - so powerful, and then Scott in slow mo, with the 'chaaa' head back, hands and arms wide, love it!
Yes, this was a Scott lead. All the others were background harmony. And I have to chastise you... You promised about 10 days ago that you would get Episode 12 of The Sing Off done last week. Still waiting!!!😉
If you ever get a chance to watch the PTX Making of Evergreen video (which I think you'd enjoy, it's all shot in-studio showing their process), you can hear the Trio practicing and making adjustments to the vocal portions of this song - and then I think most of that got tossed, because I can't really hear much (if any) of it in the official video version!
Yes Kevin plays Cello, Lyndsey is also in Radioactive, and a French song they do Papaoutai, which is crazy cool. Kevin of course created the form of music known as Cello boxing and played Carnegie Hall as a teen Cellist. Loved it.
Lindsey is amazing!! If you want to check out some of her stuff you can't go wrong with Shatter Me ft Lzzy Hale. She also has a newer video that came out called Love Goes On and On ft Amy Lee from Evanescence
Took me a bit to love this rendition but it's so damn catchy. It is earth wind fire air their representing You're changing stuff, Sal!! No hat, close ups 🤔
Mitch, Kirstin and Matt were totally background in this. If you watched the Recording of Evergreen, they spent quite a bit of time rehearsing the vocals for this. I love Lindsey's work. Here's my favorite if you want to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/jvipPYFebWc/v-deo.html&ab Lindsey's known for dancing as she plays. I think you may have reacted to either their collab on Radioactive or Papatoui (which is all sung in French).
If you want to hear beautiful Mitch`s voice i recommend Pentatonix "Fill It Still". This is only audio but it worth. Of course sill waiting on "Bad for us" from Superfruit album, Superfruit "La La Land" - it`s so great and funny and next episode The Sing Off. Ah, and Messer`s song Love Supply lyric video made by fans. Have a great vacation 😊
Salvo are you going to see Mitch perform at messer’s first show? I know you love his stuff and it would be fun to see your reaction to messer live. I’m sad I can’t go. Hopefully next time.
i think you should get around to watching 'recording of evergreen' there's a lot of behind the scenes from when they recorded this song specifically, it's really fun to watch and amazing to listen to, they're so good at what they do :)
@@sannalopperi-vihinen233 of course you are correct. I'm frustrated with Salvo because he harps on his wanting more Mitch in almost every video. Also he now wants to be the arranger when he suggests that they do this or that. It's annoying . I'm close to unsubbing.
Lindsey Stirling has quite a catalogue of original works, One of my favorites is Roundtable Rival, not least because of the fun video: ua-cam.com/video/jvipPYFebWc/v-deo.html. I would love to see your reaction to that.
you mentioned wanting to hear more from her so here is a few to get started with. Roundtable Rival - ua-cam.com/video/jvipPYFebWc/v-deo.html Shatter Me rt. (Lzzy Hale) - ua-cam.com/video/49tpIMDy9BE/v-deo.html Skyrim ft. (Peter Hollens) - ua-cam.com/video/BSLPH9d-jsI/v-deo.html granted this pulls you into a list of her video's but this will give you a good starting point.
Now that would be a first - an a cappella band releasing a song with no vocals and all instrumental. Sorta turns Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy on its head.
Wanting an instrumental, are you? I would highly recommend Kevin Olusola’s cover of Stan Smith’s Stay With Me. It’s a great instrumental with Kevin’s cello and a piano player (whose name I’m sorry I don’t know). KO has a lot of great music, some instrumental, some with vocals.
Gripe as much as you want, Mitch does plenty and I am tired of the implicit disrespect for the other members that his staunch fans are never satisfied when he allows the others their dues. Thank God Mitch himself is more supportive than that.
That was not called for and not nice. Yes, they are all talented. There is no question of that, but everyone has their favorite. Everyone has their own opinion. Mitch and Kevin happen to be my favorites. My opinion.
@@vickifree944 What isn't nice is completely disrespecting others with your opinions. Scott was fantastic in this. Kevin and Lindsey are front and centre where they should be. Yet we have another reactor feeling the need to point out they'll be disappointed if Mitch doesn't get a solo. That's what it boils down to. Not only does it undermine what the actual soloist is doing but it very much reads like they don't know how to appreciate what Mitch IS doing. He does some amazing background work in this.
Mitch is the kindest, most humble person. He doesn't care one way or another. SalvoG and others love him (me too). Imagine the pressure Mitch must have on himself. All of PTX are talented and we all know that. It is an opinion. Just an opinion and won't matter tomorrow. Don't stress, it's not worth it. Have a great night.

PTX chooses the soloist based on what they think is right for the song (or in case of some originals, whose story is being told). I like that they don’t let their egos get in the way of making good music. Scott has the kind of voice that is good for many different kinds of music.
So when deciding who to use for the thumbnail I chose Kirstin because she demands respect with this look lol! Who agrees!?
Also welcome to the no hat era of SalvoG 😂
There's a couple of funny TikToks they did with her and the hair lol. It's epic!
You can never go wrong with Kirstin.
Lindsey has collaborated with PTX for Radioactive and Papaoutai as well.
That’s righhhht! Thanks Mary

I was going to mention the taping of Evergreen video, because I think I enjoyed the Trio recording the background vocals more than the actual video.
Did you know Scott just put out his first solo song - Mars?
with his fiance mark in the mv. scott co-directed mv.
It’s soooo good. I’ve spent all morning looking for reactions.
I hope you react to Scott’s first single as a solo artist, called Mars before you go on vacation. You’ll love it.
I concur!
Pentatonix members take turns with leads depending on what they want out of a song. This was Scott’s turn. Mitch and Kirstie bring it with the background vocals towards the end of the song. Their Evergreen tour version of this also has Matt on the drums and a touch of piano from Scott.

That is Kevin’s cello, Beyoncé! This is in the Evergreen behind the scenes and it’s awesome to watch. Lindsey is in Radioactive and Papaoutai

Kirstin is fire, Matt is forest, Kevin is earth, Scott is water, Mitch is air and Lindsey is fairy magic - because she is.

Also check out Scott Hoyings solo song he just put out called "Mars". It's beautiful and very touching.

Their costumes represent the elements: Scott is water, Mitch is wind, Kirstie is Fire, Matt is wood, Kevin is earth. Lindsey is magic.
My understanding is they were representing the elements - earth, air, wind, fire
Mitch did some serious oh-ing!! glad to see you on Pentatonix. Your right on KO's instrument. 😁😁😎
Because you reacted to their cover of "Radioactive" with Lindsey.
Scott Hoying from Pentatonix just released a single "Mars" today go check it out so good. Hope you enjoy.

Beautiful arrangement! Kevin plays the cello. Please watch some of his solo videos. He is so amazingly talented
She was in "Radioactive" with PTX. Great tune, really well done.

You need to watch this live.
and just a headsup if you do - it's scott doing the high note at the end, not mitch

We get that you love Mitch but he doesn't have to sing in every video!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a group effort after all
Well, he does sing, but it’s mostly oo’s and aa’s. :) background vocals are singing too, as I keep telling certain reactors.

- Sang Dewi by Lyodra Ginting
You can react to these songs separately but they collaborated in the same stage "Penampilan Terbaik Lyodra X Tiara X Ziva X Mahalini X Keisya 33th RCTI Anniversary Celebration", this performance is recommended before the rest
They are awesome..
If you like Mitch listen to YOUR POWER beautiful.
Please react to Scott’s single Mars. Thanks
Sorry Mitch was not the lead in this. 🤷♀️ It was still really great though. The star of this was the violin and cello.
It's a cello..he's standing..
You should listen to Kevin solo stuff. Its more instruments.
I think this was more of a track to feature Lindsey and Kevin over Scott even though he kills the lead on this. I think if any other did the vocals it would distract from the strings.
Check out their newest ad for their new Christmas album. It's a snippet of what is on the album. ua-cam.com/video/R0FL9m9lbkY/v-deo.html
please react to the recording of evergreen
I feel like you sometimes don't give the background vocals and harmonies enough credit. Mitch and Kirstin are not there just to look fierce.
