Anyone else spend ALMOST as much time listening to people talk about music on UA-cam as they do actually listening to music?

Mine are Black Sabbath, "Paranoid" and "Vol. 4", The Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Rubber Soul", Rolling Stones "Through the Past Darkly" and almost every David Byron era Uriah Heep album, especially "Live."

I loved this episode! Hope you do more outdoor episodes this summer for sure. I tend to gravitate to bluesier stuff during the summertime. SRV of course. And there is a killer David Lee Roth track called, “Tell the Truth”, which just screams summer to me.

Great call on Mellencamp's "Scarecrow" Jamie! I remember as a kid they were blasting "Rumbleseat" at the water park I was at and it fit perfectly
Great idea for a show and the two of you picked many I might list. Special props to Pete for including the first Santana album. And did have to check the weather report when Miley Cyrus was mentioned on SoT just to be sure that hell had not, in fact, frozen over. As someone about 10 years ahead of Pete in age, I would have to include sole 60s garage-band rock and the Nuggets single first volume would serve that. Then, risking another hell could freeze scenario, ABBA Gold would neec to be included. And I agree with Jamie that something more recent needs to be in rotation so I would add either of the two most recent Cats In Space albums. Or, of course, it could all be Jimmy Buffett and southern rock for many of us in Florida. Thanks, Jamie and Pete, for some summer fun.

For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge awesome pick. Saw this tour July 1st 1993 Canada Day in Molson Park Barrie Ontario. First and only time I saw VH. Such a memorable show and bill. Hot as hell too with 50000 people.

I always kick off every summer with a listen of Van Halen's 5150. "Summer Nights" alone makes it a summertime selection, but the whole album is a great feel-good album.
Totally agree with this comment, 5150 the ultimate summertime album with the ultimate summer time song.

Granted, Immortal _is_ the kind of stuff to cool down to. For actually "summery" summer music to go along with the heat, I'd definitely go for the likes of Zeppelin, Kyuss, pretty much any warm & fuzzy stoner, that sort of stuff.
100% agree with Venom. I'm all about scaring the neighbors. I enjoy any Lamb of God and a good BBQ.
Really cool concept! However I do think there are some metal albums that fit the bill though not many. Maybe the albums that I am thinking about are more about the scorching heat rather than relaxing with a cocktail. Love the temple of dog choice
